Jamie Vardy remains a doubt as Leicester heads to St James’ Park. Hector Bellerin is passed fit for Arsenal’s visit to West Brom, Virgil van Dijk has recovered from a knee injury, whilst Jurgen Klopp will make a late decision on Daniel Sturridge’s availability as Liverpool roll up to the Etihad.

Claudio Ranieri has conceded he is uncertain whether Jamie Vardy will be fit for Leicester’s trip to Newcastle. The Foxes forward trained “a little” yesterday, though Ranieri is reluctant to field him unless he is 100%. Wes Morgan arrived back late from international duties but is available.

Gabby Agbonlahor is likely to miss Villa’s trip to Everton with a calf problem, whilst Rudy Gestede requires a late fitness test after picking up a knee injury for Benin during the international break. Remi Garde also revealed that Brad Guzan and Carlos Sanchez will be assessed – neither player had returned from international duties prior to yesterday morning’s press conference. Jores Okore has been ruled out with a knee problem.

Mark Hughes has revealed that Mame Biram Diouf and Geoff Cameron are both fine after their recent international exertions. The pair were assessed in light of late returns from duties with Senegal and USA respectively. Erik Pieters is also available despite breaking his nose in two places in the previous match against Chelsea.

Louis van Gaal has confirmed that Anthony Martial, Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellaini and Antonio Valencia will miss out through injury this weekend. Wayne Rooney is also unavailable for the trip to Watford due to illness, though Van Gaal is optimistic that both his captain and Martial could be fit for the midweek clash with PSV. Van Gaal also revealed that James Wilson is available after injury but cannot play the full 90 minutes due to a lack of match rhythm.

Nathan Redmond has overcome a minor thigh problem and is available for Norwich’s trip to Chelsea. Earlier this morning, Alex Neil revealed the winger was omitted from his Gameweek 12 squad as a precaution.

Everton will make a late decision on the fitness of Leighton Baines, who stepped up his recovery from injury with a run out for the reserves last week. Tyias Browning and Brendan Galloway are also doubts, though Tom Cleverley and Mo Besic are back in the mix after recovering from injury.

Arsene Wenger conceded he will assess Laurent Koscielny’s state of mind, with the defender particularly affected by the recent off-field events in Paris. Hector Bellerin is available for Arsenal’s trip to West Brom after recovering from a groin problem. Aaron Ramsey, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott remain sidelined, though Wenger has confirmed that the former two could return to training on Monday.

Sergio Aguero, David Silva, Pablo Zabaleta and Fabian Delph were all pictured in training for City yesterday. Manuel Pellegrini’s Friday lunchtime press conference should reveal more on the injured quartet, along with the likes of Wilfried Bony and Vincent Kompany.

Watford centre-half Sebastian Prodl has been ruled out for up to three weeks with a calf complaint. Jurado could be set to return from a hamstring injury – he faces a late fitness test. Allan Nyom is also expected to play against United. The right-back was called up by Cameroon for the recent internationals but returned to his club as they had not received the correct documentation. Cameroon can invoke a rule which would prevent Nyom from turning out this weekend but that is deemed unlikely.

Jurgen Klopp will make a late decision on Daniel Sturridge’s availability for the trip to league leaders City, though has conceded the striker “is not 100%”. James Milner, Jordon Ibe and Kolo Toure have been passed fit, whilst Jordan Henderson could be set to return to training next week.

Virgil van Dijk has recovered from a knee problem sustained during the international break and is available for Southampton’s home encounter with Stoke. Jay Rodriguez is still sidelined due to a foot problem and may need to undergo surgery.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

    Mahrez, KDB, Sanchez, Deulefeu, mane
    Pelle, Vardy, Lukaku (c)

    Who to bench?

Currently on Vardy, even if he does start, will he get more than 60 minutes?

Bench mane or pelle. Stoke been fairly tight. Not sure a double up with be that profitable. Pelle stats poor. Mane might star from the bench after late return from international duty.

Rubbish, no player is bigger than the club! His record doesn't mean much to Leicester, if he's not fit for 90 he won't play at all imo

His record evidently does, despite what Ranieri said. Mahrez giving him the penalty shows it.

no way rhey not gonna take vardy if they only 1 up especially with leicester propensity to concede , not to mention ranieri will give two tosses about keepimg on vardy if he hasnt scored yet anway. If leicester are 3-0 up and vary hasnt scored then he'll take him ioff regardless

With the doubts over Vardy etc, and Martial out, this could be a big 'making up ground week' on the casuals...

Kane in and captained is sorely tempting me, to remove any doubts over Sanchez and Vardy as captains..

    Hmm..

So looking at the lack of Man Utd attack options, do you recon it's worth playing Ake this week? But over who?

You've probably seen most of these but some old school comedy series that are great - Father Ted, Blackadder, Fawlty Towers, The Mighty Boosh.

Film wise - Withnail & I, Office Space, Napolean Dynamite, anything directed by Wes Anderson (Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Grand Budapest Hotel etc.)

If on Netflix Master of None is a very funny sitcom.

New series of Fargo is great.

      Walking Dead continues to impress

Catostrophe/Toast of London and Peep Show are excellent Channel 4 comedies.

Good police shows I've seen recently include Line of Duty.

New series of The Bridge (Danish and Swedish version not US) is out soon. That's a great murder mystery series.

    Hennessey
    Dawson, Kosc, Cedric
    Sanchez, KDB, Payet, Mahrez
    Kane, Pelle, Vardy

    Schmeichel, Francis, Fletcher, Saylor

Using my 2 FT on Payet + Dawson -> Bolasie + Moreno

Gives me 5.0m to do Pelle -> Aguero for free next week.

    Good moves?

Leicester's miracle run can't continue forever, and the tough christmas period could be the turning point for them. I have both Mahrez and Vardy as almost everybody else, but I'm seriously considering getting rid of one of them. This could be the time when you could be able to take risks that pay out.

Getting rid of Vardy could be easier if Aguero starts getting back to form. Mahrez is cheaper and it is harder to find a good replacement for him from that price range (maybe Deulofeu or Barkley, I already have Bolasie from that 6.0-6.8m price range).

They're both just so high on confidence and part of a side that's scored in every game! There is no reason to shift them until they start blanking and then I
Agree, getting rid of one could be a shrewd move.

Is this a decent 'Aguero plan' for next week:

    Pelle, Mane, Sanchez
    to
    Aguero, Eriksen, Deulofeu?

    ----

And would you rather keep Sanchez or KdB in your team?

2FTs & 2m in bank. Need to use 1FT and bearing in mind probably aim to get Aguero in. Any thoughts?

Thinking Pelle>Lukaku or getting Francis, Huth or Cedric out.

    Butland
    Bellerin, Cedric, Kolorov
    Ayew, KDB, Mahrez, Sanchez
    Pelle, Kane, Vardy
    Ruddy, Francis, Huth, Westwood

It's for The Sun game, no more transfers after this until mid January and seems like at least 1 definitely needs to go for a nailed on option.

Amazes me with all the money in the Premier League etc. how few strikers the top clubs carry.
All of them seem to have about 3 strikers - a number one striker, a middle-level striker and maybe a promising youngster. They all seem to think that an attacking midfielder will fill in.
I still think most of Chelsea's problems revolve around Costa and a lack of a viable alternative.
Bournemouth game aside Man City couldn't cover Aguero's loss. Bony was shocking against Norwich and they should have buried Villa if they could finish chances.
Utd's lack of goals with all their midfield possession has to point at problems further forward.

Certainly got some of the most memorable scenes and characters. One of my favourites too.

Speed 3 - greatest episode of Father Ted for me!

I've actually never really given Black Adder a proper go - my dad loves it. I probably should at some point but worried it's one of those shows that will be hard to get into if you didn't watch it a while ago.

Funniest British sitcom imo is The Office, and it isn't really close. After that, I'm Alan Partridge, The Day Today, Brass Eye, Peep Show etc. May be a generation thing, Only Fools and Horses just seems broad and really dated to me.

Also reminds me of this fantastic Stewart Lee routine:

It may be partially that I grew up with people saying how great it was, and I'd obviously seen certain scenes (falling through the bar, chandelier etc.) so many times, that when I watched it it just all felt hackneyed and unfunny. I know everyone else swears by it though, so I'm obviously missing something (like with Game of Thrones).
