Jamie Vardy remains a doubt as Leicester heads to St James’ Park. Hector Bellerin is passed fit for Arsenal’s visit to West Brom, Virgil van Dijk has recovered from a knee injury, whilst Jurgen Klopp will make a late decision on Daniel Sturridge’s availability as Liverpool roll up to the Etihad.

Claudio Ranieri has conceded he is uncertain whether Jamie Vardy will be fit for Leicester’s trip to Newcastle. The Foxes forward trained “a little” yesterday, though Ranieri is reluctant to field him unless he is 100%. Wes Morgan arrived back late from international duties but is available.

Gabby Agbonlahor is likely to miss Villa’s trip to Everton with a calf problem, whilst Rudy Gestede requires a late fitness test after picking up a knee injury for Benin during the international break. Remi Garde also revealed that Brad Guzan and Carlos Sanchez will be assessed – neither player had returned from international duties prior to yesterday morning’s press conference. Jores Okore has been ruled out with a knee problem.

Mark Hughes has revealed that Mame Biram Diouf and Geoff Cameron are both fine after their recent international exertions. The pair were assessed in light of late returns from duties with Senegal and USA respectively. Erik Pieters is also available despite breaking his nose in two places in the previous match against Chelsea.

Louis van Gaal has confirmed that Anthony Martial, Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellaini and Antonio Valencia will miss out through injury this weekend. Wayne Rooney is also unavailable for the trip to Watford due to illness, though Van Gaal is optimistic that both his captain and Martial could be fit for the midweek clash with PSV. Van Gaal also revealed that James Wilson is available after injury but cannot play the full 90 minutes due to a lack of match rhythm.

Nathan Redmond has overcome a minor thigh problem and is available for Norwich’s trip to Chelsea. Earlier this morning, Alex Neil revealed the winger was omitted from his Gameweek 12 squad as a precaution.

Everton will make a late decision on the fitness of Leighton Baines, who stepped up his recovery from injury with a run out for the reserves last week. Tyias Browning and Brendan Galloway are also doubts, though Tom Cleverley and Mo Besic are back in the mix after recovering from injury.

Arsene Wenger conceded he will assess Laurent Koscielny’s state of mind, with the defender particularly affected by the recent off-field events in Paris. Hector Bellerin is available for Arsenal’s trip to West Brom after recovering from a groin problem. Aaron Ramsey, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott remain sidelined, though Wenger has confirmed that the former two could return to training on Monday.

Sergio Aguero, David Silva, Pablo Zabaleta and Fabian Delph were all pictured in training for City yesterday. Manuel Pellegrini’s Friday lunchtime press conference should reveal more on the injured quartet, along with the likes of Wilfried Bony and Vincent Kompany.

Watford centre-half Sebastian Prodl has been ruled out for up to three weeks with a calf complaint. Jurado could be set to return from a hamstring injury – he faces a late fitness test. Allan Nyom is also expected to play against United. The right-back was called up by Cameroon for the recent internationals but returned to his club as they had not received the correct documentation. Cameroon can invoke a rule which would prevent Nyom from turning out this weekend but that is deemed unlikely.

Jurgen Klopp will make a late decision on Daniel Sturridge’s availability for the trip to league leaders City, though has conceded the striker “is not 100%”. James Milner, Jordon Ibe and Kolo Toure have been passed fit, whilst Jordan Henderson could be set to return to training next week.

Virgil van Dijk has recovered from a knee problem sustained during the international break and is available for Southampton’s home encounter with Stoke. Jay Rodriguez is still sidelined due to a foot problem and may need to undergo surgery.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

Doesn't look like Vardy is going to be fit for Saturday.
Should I take a hit and get Lukaku?!

    Begovic McCarthy
    Kolarov Moreno Naughton Evans Targett
    Sanchez Mahrez KDB Yaya Coutinho
    Gomis Pelle Sakho

Am going to bring to bring in Lukaku this week for Sakho and need to free up funds. Also think I need to lose a City player for the pending return of Kun.

Any suggestions on what to do?

I would say since you kept faith with Gomis dont sell him this GW. Also Pelle good on the cards for this GW. Yaya & Sakho to Bolasie / Deulofeu + Lukaku / Kane.

Yaya/Sakho --> Bolasie/Lukaku seems nice alright. WHo would you bench out of the front 8 then, Coutinho?

Also, should I lose KDB over Yaya seen as I'll need funds for Aguero or find another way to free up funds?

          Cheers for your thoughts

My man I have been looking at those stinking strikers for too long. Had so many injuries after last international break that I had to keep them.

I think Gomis and Pelle can stay one more week with their fixtures. They're gone soon though.

I'm liking the Bolasie punt. Would you lose Yaya over KDB (considering i'l need to free up funds for Kun?

    Hey Guys,

I am really confused this week. Could use your advice.

So my team atm looks like this:

    Butland
Bellerin / Ward / Van Dijk
    Mahrez / Alexis / KDB / Ayew
    Vardy / Pelle / Lukaku

Bench: Moreno / Dawson / Payet.

So the options I am looking at, are:

    (A) Payet -> Eriksen / Barkley / Bolasie (FT) This would also mean that I will spend My AOA chip as I don't want to bench any of my front 8.

    (B) Payet & Vardy -> Deulofeu / Bolasie & Kane. Since Vardy is a doubt and I bought him for 7.2 I will not lose a lot of value and will not have 2 LEI players now that their schedule gets tough. Again I will have to play AOA this week.

    (C) Save and take absorb another 0.1 loss from Payet this saturday

    Thank you for your time

Envious of anyone who can relatively easily get Aguero, Lukaku and Kane all in their team without having to sacrifice KDB or Sanchez.

Not getting Vardy has killed any TV/SV to bring them in for me. As I mentioned last night having Smalling over Rojo and Clyne (who dropped recently!!) over Moreno is also hitting the money in the bank.

With the way Sanchez and KDB are going you might be better for sacrificing them for someone like Ozil.

It would have to be Sanchez realistically to stop the amount of transfers needed to get Aguero getting too high.

Not sure I'm happy with that.

Surely not many can achieve that without a pretty horrid defence?

Easily doable by subbing KDB for Silva/Sterling/Toure 🙂

I hear ya mate. My SV is currently at 100.0m after the last international break where I had 8 injuries/benched players to sort out and had to keep yaya/gomis/Sakho 🙁

Who are the stand out captain choices for NEXT week in your opinions? I'm thinking Bolasie could be a great shout for the armband?

Bolasie is a great shout next week, not many easy fixtures for the big teams. He's a good shout this week as well tbh

really tempted to give him the armband this week. Mon night footy against Sunderland

Lukaku for me this week. Bolasie is only 4% owned at the moment so is a differential without the need to give him the armband.

Injuries to popular out of form players are infuriating, Martial being the latest. Gone is the Lukaka/Kane differential, template back in full swing

    1.2 - 2FT

    Butland / Myhil

    Kolarov / Monreal / Reid / Dawson / Richards

    Sanchez / KDB / Yaya / Mahrez / Anya

    Lukaku / Pelle / Vardy

    Aguero plan...

    Reid - Delaney/ Kelly
    KDB - Ozil
    Kolarov - Cathcart
    Pelle - Aguero

    Transfer: Francis > ?

    A) Rojo
    B) Rose
    C) Moreno
    D) Play Cresswell and save FT

    Captain:

    1) Mane
    2) Lukaku
    3) Pelle
    4) Mahrez

On A) 1) atm but B) 2) is tempting me

We're all loving Lukaku right now so this doesn't really matter but this is the post I was talking about on the Scoutcast re: Lukaku has never really been a complete troll and often (about two thirds) of his goals come against non-"top 6" opposition.

you also have to take his age into consideration and that he could and looks like he is steadily improving as a player.

    What to do with my defence;

Play Dawson, Richards, Moreno or Dummett (-4, which allows me to get Aguero next week for free)

Bringing back the quizzes! They weren't my cup of tea but better than a constant stream of Vardy will he/won't he play questions!

Alot of talk ab Mane's late return. Anyone that knows when Bolaise returnes? Considering a switch to make founds, and a more nailed XI
