It’s time to turn up the heat on Granville. After Harry Kane obliged with a 26-point armband return, I’ve clawed back the gap on my mancunian rival, who now sits just three points ahead in our “very personal” battle.

With the flame lit on our age-old duel, the ScoutCast is revived to resemble the days gone by, with Granville wriggling uncomfortably as we spar throughout. Jonty is on hand to mediate, taking a few blows of his own, with Granville lashing out blindly.

Around the melee, we take in another round of “rough with the smooth” and digest a slew of community questions. We chat Aguero Vs Kane, consider the merits of showing Sanchez and De Bruyne the door, and scribe our Christmas Fantasy Football wishlist.

              That does not make what I said untrue. Hazard has been included for his performances during the 2014-15 season, why shouldn't Ozil be included for his performances during the 2015-16 season? Also Ozil has been included in almost as many goals this season alone as Hazard has during the whole year. And since we're talking about this, what has Fabregas done in 2015 to guarantee him an inclusion in anything at all?

                The shortlist is for 2015 which includes second half of 2014-15 and even that is quite skewed as shortlists are already , hence more emphasis on 2014-15 than 15-16

                Also , you need to win accolades to get in the World XI's - I don't agree with it but its the norm

                  I don't know if you read the article but I said that the UEFA one is the only one that's somewhat reasonable because of its criteria.

                  However, the other 2 take into consideration the whole year, including international games, which Ozil has again been outstanding. Also, there is no reasonable ways to explain why players like Morata, Medel, Fabregas, David Luiz, Thiago, Yaya, have had a better year than Mesut.

                    Especially Payet and Vardy who have had stellar seasonsin the past 2 seasons (Vardy only in 2015) Also Ozil has been injured for long times in Calendar Year 2015 and the season 14-15 in general

                      Ozil came back from his long term injury on January 11, 2015, has missed 3 Premier League games since. Payet had a pretty good 2014-15 so his inclusion would not be a surprise. Anyway, I think you're missing the point. I'm not saying he deserved a mention more than Hazard, but there are so many players among these 3 awards that have not had as good a 2015 as Ozil has.

                        Except with the Goal50, those are supposed to be the Top50 players of the year. Which means that for 2015, Morata and Medel were better at football than Özil. Which is a joke.

          Coutinho is just as effective centrally. Firmino is natural in any of those postions. Of course he could drop deep and link up with Cout behind Benteke. It's a fairly fluid system, with the wingbacks providing the width.
