It’s time to turn up the heat on Granville. After Harry Kane obliged with a 26-point armband return, I’ve clawed back the gap on my mancunian rival, who now sits just three points ahead in our “very personal” battle.

With the flame lit on our age-old duel, the ScoutCast is revived to resemble the days gone by, with Granville wriggling uncomfortably as we spar throughout. Jonty is on hand to mediate, taking a few blows of his own, with Granville lashing out blindly.

Around the melee, we take in another round of “rough with the smooth” and digest a slew of community questions. We chat Aguero Vs Kane, consider the merits of showing Sanchez and De Bruyne the door, and scribe our Christmas Fantasy Football wishlist.

This episode was first aired via our YouTube channel on Tuesday evening. You can view the unedited Google Hangout in the larger player below, or treat yourself to the buffed-up audio version via this link or the smaller player.

Don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel for updates on new episodes.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

The Sturridge news makes Benteke a more solid choice for me as a Pelle replacement. Best player I can afford hit-free, decent fixtures in a re-energised team plus a differential to my mini-league rival.

Although Jonty mentioning Ighalo has got me thinking..

About as good as it gets.

Could be a good enabler to move on from Vardy in due course too...

Do fancy Benteke to do we'll Swansea as well. They're quite high for aerial chances conceded..

Something is seriously holding me back from doing Kane just because I think the Derby factor might make Chelsea win and Kane blank.

But Aguero isn't a much better option with Silva and Southamoton defence.

Grrrr also it would be for a -4

    1. Worzel Gummidge

Kane is never worth a -4. For an FT, maybe. I still have my doubts.

IMO of course. He has returned really good returns in 2 games against absolutely shocking defences and 3 of the goals were rather fortunate. If he keeps it up I will get him in. I have a plan but I am not convinced.

Kane owners are entitled to their opinion the same as I am :).

If Walcott was back who would you prefer? Him or Ozil? His rise to the top has coincided with Walcott being out. Any stats guy shed some light on this?

I might go Maverick and just go Giroud instead haha! I just can't decide the striker but not sure it's worth a -4 yet...

Not a bad option! Or save FT and hope Martial will score. Then bring Kane and another enabler in next week without hits.

With or without hits, both will pay off in the long run.

Regardless, much easier to go to the Sunday's Swans match now.

Bordeaux can feel hard done with that. They'll play at home this Sunday, and Caen doesn't sound too good, but they're a bit of a Leicester of France (or the other way round, really, Caen epitomises the style that Leicester plays too, and with even significantly lesser budget both absolutely and relatively) and I might just put some money on them against Bordeaux.

Good news for arsenal is that they only have a couple of tricky fixtures until the jan window and coq will be available for the run in which is where arsenal have messed up each of their previous title challenges

    Could be worse

I'd love them to win a champs league place but this is no easy task. Yes they are capable but I really believe this season we have a great chance of aiming for top 3. Problem is the squad isnt as deep with quality and if kane got injured we got no one

He should not be playing Kane and Erekkson in these games IMO. We just not got the depth of quality to afford this. We are notoriously bad after Europe too. He should concentrate on the Chelsea game

The more you play in these tournaments the better you become. The longer you stay in the tournament the harder the opposition. They will be a better CL-team next year if they qualify.

This is very welcome for Spurs. They must start to think of EL as their European competition. Because most of the time that will be it.

    My defence is:

    Hart (McCarthy)

Bellerin --- Cresswell --- VVD --- (Williams, Oxford)

I plan to change Hart for DDG either next week or this week for a hit if Hart is definitely not playing. I want to get rid of Williams for a better choice this week. Would you:

    (A) Bring in Moreno
    (B) Bring in Smalling

Moreno obviously has a better fixture but Smalling would probably be a better choice overall. That being said, still not sure if you can justify Smalling's price.

    Thanks.

If you bring both DDg and Smalling that's one expensive defence. Moreno for the next looks a good bet.
