      Yes, his captaincy ownership isn't high enough to really hurt us. Same thing if you own Kane I think. Takes a lot of the worry out of tomorrow.

              For the past year. You should watch a City game and follow Kompany closely. Just you realizing that hes not even remotely as good as he once was, could open your eyes. But youre absolutely right. I have nothing to gain from discussing anything regarding football with you. Its like p!ssing in the wind.

          Problem with Smalling is that he's only really stepped up since the second half of last season so it's hard to tell to what degree he's just in a period of outstanding form.

          I think he's been the best CB in the league so far this season but that doesn't actually mean others aren't better than him. If his form continues for the rest of the season then it'll be easier to judge.

            This is probably the only reasonable comment ive seen on this topic. It could just be a fantastic run of form, and its not like im saying hes the best defender in the world, period. For the past year, i cant think of anyone better. But he has improved dramatically since midway last season, and its his stability that impresses me the most.

        Toby is a better CB than Smalling right now. Smalling probably the 6th-7th best in the league.

              Right. Youre an A-level licensed UEFA coach then? Sakho, Otamendi, Kompany. All of them compromise their position more than Smalling do. But youre just one of those incredibly stubborn clowns that is just set in his way, and thats it. Maybe one time in the reminder of the season, youll open your eyes. Im not very hopeful though.

                This is kompanys first decent season since their first league victory 3 years ago. Sakho may be the best at liverpool but it baffles me how anyone could rate him over smalling. Only liverpool fans do no doubt.

                Otamendi and kos more proven than smalling atm. Too early to judge toby

                  Im a Liverpool fan and while i do rate Sakho, hes not on Smallings level in my opinion. I dont think Otamendi is more proven, hes not that proven imo. Mangala was the best defender in the portugese league as well, and see how hes doing.. Kosc is really, really good too, so is Toby. Kompany while good, is highly overrated imo.

    A lack of Barkley is a problem, 19 and 13pts is hard to ignore, especially with the games coming up.

      Makes me sad that I had Barkley for a four game run earlier in the season where he did nothing and now that I get Deulofeu for his form it's Barkley that starts scoring again.

    Janmaat has actually been quite decent past few weeks, 2 assists 2 CS in last six games yet his points returns have been poor. It is newcastle though.

      I've benched his 2 assist, going to sell him, his one of those players that will bring attacking returns when not expected, with that defence, his a waste of a spot
