Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Which is more of a priority?

    A. Ogbonna to Ward
    B. Westwood to one of the cherries?

Souare + Henny owner here. Palace really seem to go out of their way to not keep a CS. It's for that reason I'm inclined to suggest B.

If it's just bench fodder you want + is nailed on Simpson is cheaper no? Stoke also looked good defensively until Allardici rolled into town.

I do get Wardinho's appeal though, started the season in fine form. Just don't expect CS points. Or worse, know you'll bench them cos it'd be random as hell.

Looks like Firminho is on the bench.

Ouch, disastrous. I would never have made those changes though.

Think the lesson to learn here is that to take out two pretty much nailed players for two that are injury prone and rotation risks isn't a good move (especially if brining in an out of form player).

      1. Puyol Pants Up

That out of form player scored 5 goals the last time he was out of form.

But he was shooting on average five times per game then (which Is why I didn't sell him before GW8), since his injury he is shooting on average two times per game (far less than the alternatives).

If he starts to get close to his previous output in underlying stats of course it will be only a matter of time before he explodes again but even then said explosion may not be enough to make up all the lost points in the interim.

Can see why it would have been tempting. I got tempted into Pellè and Bony ahead of Kane and Lukaku around GW10, only a lucky few will get every decision right.

    Morning All,

Would appreciate your views on whether my thinking is flawed.....

I'm in with a remote shout of the MotM for Nov in Ultimate.

6 points off the lead with today to go.

Am able to swap Schlupp, Smalling, Cabaye & Mahrez out.

Also have the option (and here is where I need your views) to swap Vardy (8 points) for Kane.

Is that a risk worth taking? My current thoughts are that it is, or are the obvious moves enough and Vardy's points should stay in the bank.

    Thanks in advance.

You still have a good chance to make it , Down to what those close to you will do.

I would only bring in Kane if you had a Cpt fail yesterda anf then Capt.him

Tough one then But if Kane comes in then it means you are expecting him to score , so better to loose Lukaku and Capt Kane , that should give an extra 4 pts, with 1 goal and no big chances missed.

I do expect him to score.

But , think you are 'Green Arrows" right ?

I would punt on something different as there are many around you with similar players..

            Your differential is Giroud .
You may not get another chance in the monthly , so I would take Lukaku out for Giroud and Capt.

            Good luck

Ha , dont curse me if you do though.

But think if you look at those teams above , and even below , quite a few already have Kane ( I only checked a few )

Another option , leave Lukaku and Vardy in and Capt Ozil

Either way I think you gotta hope for a Kane and Sanchez blank

You're not the only one. Almost did the same move for Lukaku last week, only reason I didn't was I figured Kun is essential. That was a costly non move. Not sure how essential the fragile one is this year either. Doing terrible with C's. He's meant to be the go to for the armband. Doubts about that too.

Should bolasie not have had an assist for palaces 5th goal?

But the cross in, hit the defender, then Mcarthur scored.

Definitely a case of Newcastle being a complete shambles

        McClaren isn't a good manager

Their defending was absolutely pathetic. Janmaat should be fined for turning his back on that shot.

"seen some reports that it was dawson at right back and chester cb.

    anyway, watford.

a one-dimensional negative team of strangers right now. very little intensity and it's immediately clear flores is far more pulis than keegan. that would immediately put me off deeney. ighalo in the number 10 role was painful to watch, it's like man utd playing javier hernandez there. the poacher playmaker hmm.
due to this and then vydra there in the last 30mins, same sort of issue but not quite as bad, the ball just kept going out wide for hopeful crosses to be flung in all game. zero through-balls or remotely creative play.
only positive from the display is it looks like the defence will be much more compact this year. cathcart's distribution is great, effortless and accurate, the northern irish agger!
hopefully abdi and jurado back can sort the one-dimensional issue out some-what, but overall there's no way deeney would have scored 20 a season for the past 3 years with flores as manager imo. seems he wants to try and one-nil his way to survival.

berghuis was on corners (but they were shocking), layun was taking direct free kicks.

if this match was a dragon's den pitch bannatyne would be straight out, then peter jones might make an offer for the defence & gomes"

I don't get the connection to the post you linked? And that review is a bit doom and gloom relative to what has actually happened.

    Butland Hennessey
    Koscielny Alderwereild Ward Janmaat Simpson
    Sanchez Mane Mahrez Barkley Coquelin
    Aguero Lukaku Kane

Feel like to much invested in the front 3, especially when the cheaper vardy/ighalo continue to get points. Not going to panic just yet but feel like getting in ighalo so can get in ozil or debruyne in my mid.

Good news is I got all the strikers in cheap so made a nice profit on them, about 1mil all up. How can you improve my team?

How did you manage to get Aguero in cheap?

The midfield does look a little weak. Perhaps you could cut funds in defense to upgrade Mane to Ozil over a couple of weeks. I own KDB and even I accept he could quote easily go on a run of 2 - 3 pointers. Expensive risk

Sorry haha when I mean cheap, was mainly refering to the other 2. So would be difficult to let them go. kind of wanted to get Aguero in early thinking he would go up heaps Was happy after the goal last week, now Im not so sure but I guess its best to leave it now and see

        Kane 9.2 now 9.6
        Lukaku 8.2 now 9.0

Looks OK. You may want to shift Coquelin in the next week or two so you have some cover for the festive period.

Yea hes been my 5th mid bench fodder from gw1. Kind of new to all this and picked him as I knew he was first team haha.

Ideas how to make it better if its just ok? Wanted to move Mane but might as well wait until after the villa game now.

conceivably my bench will be Mahrez (swansea away) and Nyom (norwich at home) who both have decent fixtures but also saylor and McCarthy. worth playing a bench boost next gameweek?

    Front 8:

    Sanchez Özil KDB Mahrez (Gosling)
    Aguero Lukaku Vardy

Would you make any changes in this attack? Barkley in form, but I can't justify removing anyone to bring him in.

@DamianLFCpl: Mignolet – Clyne, Škrtel, Lovren, Moreno – Can, Milner, Allen – Ibe, Lallana – Benteke.

Believe this guy's been very accurate with his team news.

Hi all - do we reckon there's any need to take an FT for me for the upcoming week (injuries pending!).

    Butland
    Kolarov VVD Moreno
    Ozil Barkley KdB Mahrez
    Kane Lukaku(c) Giroud?

    3.9 / Morrison Vert 3.9

I'd then do Aguero + Ward in for Giroud + Vert for an FT so I have Kun (c) for the Spurs game.

Sound strat? Can't see anything I need to change

As per leaks, Benteke will start but I have put him on bench for Mata, because Klopp said that it's difficult to start a player again in 3 days time.
