    Would we do Ayew > Barkley this week?

    Ayew has LEI and decent fixtures over the Christmas period.
    Barkley has CRY and great fixtures over the Christmas period.

    Obviously I can wait one week and do the transfer next week. Just depends on who will outscore the other this week, have to gamble here. Thoughts?

      G IMO.

      F feels to shortsighted especially if you left scrambling to get Kun back in again. KDB is still a good pick and Ozil is the pick of the ARS midfield at the moment hence why I'd go with C if I absolutely had to suggest a transfer.

        Thanks, either way Sanchez stays for Sunderland, hopefully I can save this week and see what happens the following week.
        It's just Barkley seems worth getting with his new found consistency, but it's tough to accommodate him, even if he became a 5th mid for me, the benching headache is cruel.

    It's really tough to get any big movement in the top 50k at the moment, so many similar teams with similar points.
    There's no doubt the average is much higher up around there down to the fact that the calibre of player is more astute.
    It must be getting harder and harder for those in the lower ranks to make headway and probably frustrating too.

      Have to agree, put it perfectly...it seems the top 50K have v similar teams. I have fluctuated between 12K-20K for the last 4/5 weeks. Patience is the name of the game for me, no need for differentials or gambles so early on..Just stay near the top come january and use your wildcard and chips wisely to maximise points.

          We have more options but they are weaker players, we always defend badly if we replace those 2 fullbacks. With Mert and Gabriel at the back we can still have a decent back 4, but replace bellerin with debuchy or monreal with gibbs then we struggle again

    So last night, as planned all week, I did KDB and Vardy for Coutinho and Aguero for -4

    After their hauls yesterday it took some nerve (especially as both players coming in were yellow flagged) but I held firm. Only time will tell whether I'll come to regret it.

        There are better value players, no doubt. If you just bought players who were good value, you would have 10m sitting in the bank. Therefore you have to be wise in investing that money in premium assets. Players like Aguero offer explosiveness and consistency, making them solid captain picks, which is what stands them out from the rest.

    Morning all!

    Just thinking ahead for next week; I think my move will be to free up some funds, whilst also improving my team.

    I'm still stuck with Gomez in defence. I know, he should have gone a long time ago.

    I also have Westwood on the bench. I haven't needed him as far as I can remember, but over the Christmas period I could do with someone with a little more attacking threat.

    So these are the moves I am looking at:

    Gomez > Simpson
    Westwood > Stanislas

    I would only do 1 of them this week. If nobody is rising or falling then I'll probably do the former. The problem is, I see Stanislas rising this week. If he does I may be driven to do the latter.

    Thoughts?

      The Stanislas rise wouldn't kill you tbh. I'd say do the former first and then the latter next week. Stanislas still is a potential bargain at £4.3m

              Haven't had the opportunity to do so, bigger fish to fry. The whole point of Westwood > Stanislas would be to gain 0.2 and any possible rises. If I missed out on a rise, the move would be less appealing.

        A starting 4.0 defender playing for 'the' in form side (who have albeit been poor defensively, but have improved in recent weeks) with decent attacking threat?

        He will be my 5th defender, merely bench fodder. I'm looking at the likes of Wolly to replace Francis when the times comes.

      I watched the Bou vs Eve game yesterday and Stanislas was the life of the party. He was very good and as long as Rojo isn't injured long term, I'll be doing the exact same move (Westwood -> Stanislas) this week.
