Thereโ€™s much to consider this evening as we cast an eye over the upcoming round of matches. Manuel Pellegrini’s team sheet, Chelsea’s reaction to Jose Mourinho’s dismissal, Alexis Sanchezโ€™ availability, West Bromโ€™s defence at the Hawthorns and Harry Kaneโ€™s form are all on our Gameweek 17 menu.

Chelsea response to Joseโ€™s departureโ€ฆ.
Mondayโ€™s 2-1 loss at Leicester leaves the champions just one point clear of the drop zone, with Jose Mourinho finally paying the price for their toils earlier today. Chelsea have managed just two goals and as many clean sheets in their last five league outings but a home clash against Sunderland offers the chance to start afresh as Fantasy managers look for signs of recovery at both ends of the pitch. Can Eden Hazard shrug off his hip problem and return to Fantasy prominence and will the Blues backline show just why they racked up 17 clean sheets in last termโ€™s title-winning campaign?

Pellegriniโ€™s team sheetโ€ฆ.
Last weekโ€™s decision to drop Aleksandar Kolarov and Kevin de Bruyne underlined the Chileanโ€™s intentions to rotate over the festive period. With the fixtures arriving thick and fast over the next few weeks, the Chilean looks likely to continue with the same ploy after claiming their Gameweek 15 loss at Stoke was down to fatigue. Pellegriniโ€™s line-up for Mondayโ€™s trip to the Emirates holds plenty of interest, then, as Fantasy managers look to see how the City boss plans to utilise Sergio Agueroโ€™s minutes, in particular, over the upcoming run of matches.

Wengerโ€™s decision on Sanchez..
Earlier today, the Gunners boss admitted the Chilean had a โ€œslight chanceโ€ of making Mondayโ€™s encounter with City. Wenger also went on to concede that Sanchez โ€œsays heโ€™s always readyโ€, with the former Barcelona man desperate to return for a match that could put Arsenal four points clear of their opponents. Bearing in mind that the Emirates outfit have won all three matches in Sanchezโ€™ absence, will Wenger court caution with his star attacker or unleash him against a backline thatโ€™s yet to register a single clean sheet without Vincent Kompany?

Unitedโ€™s patched up backlineโ€ฆ.
A 2-1 loss away to Bournemouth highlighted the Red Devilsโ€™ threadbare defence as Louis van Gaal was forced to start the likes of Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, Guillermo Varela and Paddy McNair last Saturday. This weekendโ€™s visit of Norwich is the first of three home matches in four, though, and bearing in mind that United have conceded a single goal at Old Trafford this term, thereโ€™s optimism that they will continue to provide us a regular source of clean sheets in front of their own fans. If Chris Smalling remains sidelined, though, some may decide to bail on the back of their Dean Court showing.

Kaneโ€™s showing against the Saintsโ€ฆ.
The Spurs frontman continues to frustrate after failing to get amongst the goals in last weekโ€™s surprise home loss to Newcastle. After netting seven times in four appearances between Gameweek 10-13, Kane has now embarked on a three-match series of blanks and, worryingly for his owners, failed to produce a single touch in the box or close-range attempt against the Magpies. With Mauricio Pochettino hinting at a possible rest, we need to see Kane back in form against the Saints at St Maryโ€™s to prevent a potential exodus.

Maneโ€™s role up topโ€ฆ.
Although he was unable to find the net away to Palace last weekend, the Southampton midfielderโ€™s patient owners will be buoyed by his recent move up front. Handed a forward role as Ronald Koeman opted for a 3-5-2 against the Eagles, Maneโ€™s advanced berth may well persuade some to hold for now. Indeed, although heโ€™s failed to score in the last six, the Senegal international has fired 13 shots inside the box over that period โ€“ joint-top with Riyad Mahrez amongst midfielders.

Bolasieโ€™s momentum against the Pottersโ€™ rearguardโ€ฆ.
After netting just once in the first 11 Gameweeks, the Eagles midfielder is finally stringing together a series of consistent displays. Having teed up Yohan Cabaye for last weekโ€™s winner over Southampton, Bolasie now has three goals and an assist in five league appearances and is challenging the Frenchman as Palaceโ€™s go-to option. A trip to Stoke is far from straightforward but should Bolasie deliver again, the following four (bou, SWA, CHE, avl) could see that 5% ownership rise.

The Baggies backline at the Hawthorns โ€ฆ.
With eight home matches already played out, itโ€™s somewhat surprising to see that West Brom have conceded more goals (14) in front of their own fans than any other side in the top-flight. Whilst Tony Pulisโ€™ troops have been far more resilient on their travels, itโ€™s a different story altogether at the Hawthorns, where theyโ€™ve been breached three times on four occasions already. A weekend visit from Bournemouth is the first of five home encounters (BOU, NEW, STO, AVL, SWA) in the next eight Gameweeks, though, and weโ€™ll be looking for signs of resilience from Pulisโ€™ rearguard before deciding to take the plunge.

Wijnaldumโ€™s home comfortsโ€ฆ.
The Newcastle summer signing is the most transferred in midfielder this week ahead of a crucial run of fixtures. Having seen off Liverpool and Spurs in the last two, the Magpies now brace themselves for four home matches (AVL, EVE, MUN, WHU) in six, kicking off with the visit of Villa this Saturday evening. Wijnaldum has racked up seven goals and an assist at St Jamesโ€™ compared to just two assists on his travels and another big home display will surely kick start the bandwagon over Christmas, with his current ownership sitting at a mere 9%.

It seems like a bit strange choice really. I'd rather put my money on Ramos. Much better odds , anyway. But yeah, the bookies seem to be nearly 100% sure it's Hiddink. If it's not, you're going to get great odds for anybody else if you bet now.

He's got to be close to it, but you know, this is the moment when you have to play your bet for someone else, if ever. There's almost always somebody who's absolute favourite at a given moment, and then often he doesn't get/take the job, and the bookies' favourite changes, and this can happen a few times before the manager is actually chosen. And every time there's a big big favourite, the other managers get really good odds, and if you can pick the right one amongst them, you can make money with very little investment. Of course, you shouldn't invest much, because it's very risky.

What really favours Hiddink is that his period at Chelsea was so excellent. They would love to continue with his winning rate. But it's obvious that things have changed and chances are he might not be able to repeat it. He's come long way down since then.

Mourinho disagreed to it, why strengthen your rivals team? The margins to victory in football are so slim now, the difference between top keeper vs a good keep can make all the difference.

DDG was Man Utd player of season, he single handedly (excuse the pun!) pushed them over the line for a CL spot last season.

AOA is garbage. If you confident rest of your team will play and it feels good...do it

It's really simple for me. If I had henderson, I'd 100% be playing him come hell or high water!

i have 2 FT. My dilemma is whether to stick with Kane (i think i will becuase he has norwich next week and spurs are still an in form side more or less).

    Or do Kane > Giroud

I cant see any vital transfers i should make. yes id quite like ramsey but ive got coutinho and i cant have it all.

probably will use 1FT to sort out keeper or swap out huth for someone else.

    Any advice?

Could I get some advice please?

    But,and, schmeicel

    Kolarov, Moreno, Huth, Francis, Richards

    Hazard, Ozil, deulofeu, alli, Mahrez

    Kane, lukaku, aguerro

    2ft, 0.1 itb

I'm thinking haz to Ramsey and Huth to Dawson. Sound good or is there anything better I could do?

Sounds decent to me but not sure I'd want Ramsey this wk. Have u considered Wijnaldum? Huth can wait. U could play AoA if u wanted to have the 2fts heading into next wk

Fitting Sanchez above the two mentioned is my dilemma. I can live without Kun as there are other strikers who can do the job and free up funds.

Little conundrum here guys. First time considering playing one of my 3 chips (AoA)

I'ts either get a defender in (zouma, janmaat, WBA or STK def) for free or play gosling away to WBA, this saving my transfer?

Im not a big fan of the chip anyway but opinions?

I agree. But those 2fts next GW could be tasty. I just wonder at what point of the season am I ever gonna want it? Unless it's an exceptional circumstance having 3 defenders injured/suspended. U have any plans to use it at a specific time?

    Butland
    Bellerin Alderweireld Bertrand
    Hazard Firmino Mahrez Ozil
    Kane Vardy Lukaku

    4.0m Kolarov Francis Westwood

    1FT, 3.5m ITB

    A) Firmino out
    B) Kolarov out
    C) Westwood out to Stanislas/Gosling
    D) Save
