        This. Always a good chance that Stoke could keep a CS vs Arsenal. That's why, even with 2 FT, I kept Butland in goal. I think people lose a lot of defender points by being rotating/selling them for 'tricky' games, but nevertheless games where there is a very real possibility of a CS being had.

        Hindsight says I should have benched Simpson but would you have played all of those 3 ahead of him at the start of the GW?

        I think you're misunderstanding me. People who played Stoke defenders consciously ahead of other options, great. People who had to play him because their other options were non-playing or even worse fixture - rewarded for poor planning.

      No issue with folk playing stoke defenders it frustrates me when rivals get them off the bench and get points that way. Unfortunately that's the way the game is set up . in a game that's about 90% luck you have to accept it
