Mesut Ozil is passed fit for Arsenal’s home clash with Chelsea, whilst Alexis Sanchez may also be available. Charlie Austin is in the Southampton squad for the trip to United, West Ham’s James Tomkins will be assessed as City roll up to Upton Park, whilst Mark Hughes will monitor Marko Arnautovic’s hamstring as the Potters make their way to Leicester.

Mesut Ozil is available for Arsenal’s clash with Chelsea on Sunday after recovering from a foot injury. Alexis Sanchez is expected to be in contention this weekend, though Arsene Wenger has admitted he’s keen to minimise the risk to the Chilean, who has failed to feature since Gameweek 14 due to a hamstring complaint.

Charlie Austin has recovered from a hamstring problem and is in line to make his Southampton debut at United, Ronald Koeman has confirmed. Graziano Pelle is a doubt once again, though, due to his ongoing knee injury.

Palace boss Alan Pardew has confirmed that Wayne Hennessey will retain his place between the posts for the visit of Tottenham, despite a couple of high-profile errors in the last two fixtures. Dwight Gayle is still sidelined with a hamstring problem – the forward has returned to training this week but Palace medical staff have advised Pardew against playing the striker.

James Tomkins will be assessed ahead of West Ham’s home clash with Man City, Slaven Bilic has confirmed. Joey O’Brien has recovered from injury and is available.

Geoff Cameron remains sidelined for Stoke’s clash with Leicester due to an ongoing ankle complaint. Mark Hughes conceded he has “got to be careful” with Marko Arnautovic’s hamstring problem, whilst Xherdan Shaqiri is back in training and will be assessed.

Claudio Ranieri has revealed that Ritchie de Laet is nursing a groin problem ahead of Leicester’s clash with Stoke. Matty James and Jeffrey Schlupp remain on the sidelines for the King Power showdown.

Sam Allardyce has confirmed that Vito Mannone will continue as Sunderland’s number one following the departure of Costel Pantilimon to Watford. Big Sam handed Jordan Pickford a chance against Spurs last weekend but will turn to the Italian once again for the visit of Bournemouth.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has confirmed he will make late decisions on the availability of Matt Ritchie (dead leg) and Josh King (hamstring) for the trip to the Stadium of Light. Benik Afobe is expected to be fit for weekend trip to Sunderland , after being forced off with a knock last time out.

Saido Berahino has recovered from a midweek illness in time for West Brom’s home derby with Villa. Chris Brunt, Jonas Olsson and Darren Fletcher are all struggling to be fit, though, Tony Pulis has confirmed.

Roberto Martinez reveals that James McCarthy and Seamus Coleman are “progressing well” from injury, whilst Bryan Oviedo is fit and available for Everton’s home encounter with Swansea, after being forced off with a knock last weekend.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

Getting rid of Dann. Costs too much for a side that lets way too much goals in.
Who to get as a replacement?

    a) Daniels: good fixtures, attacking threat, penalties in the locker but defensively weaker side

    b) Fuchs: good fixtures, attacking threat, defensively stronger side

I'm not too convinced by Lukaku as captain this week. Swansea are looking more solid lately, A. Williams is looking pretty good and the type of player who is well suited to Lukaku. Should I be so negative on Lukaku or anyone else thinking the same?

Check the team stats in the members area. Still not great defensively plus still making errors and conceding plenty of chances in the box and from the centre.

      1. Doolittle
        10 years, 9 months ago

This is true, and I was set on Lukaku, but have you tried filtering by shots conceded in central areas?

        1. Doolittle

This is working on the presumption that people have Aguero though.

True, but I generally try to ignore ownership, it's making decisions out of fear rather than hope. Hence I'm trying to stay strong when it comes to benching Mahrez.

Kun because it just hurt my bum too badly last week going with Payet.

I felt like one of Nexus' abused teams. 😥

Depending on when Sanchez is fit, is an Arsenal double up in midfield with Ozil a bad idea, if it means sacrificing KDB? I could try and break the bank to get Yaya in for Mahrez, but it would mean downgrading Alderweireld to Dier and finding a Henessey equivalent - who looks like he'll be dropped - as back up in goals.

I'm a bit nervous about not having City coverage in midfield, but Ozil still seems like the better player to hold onto.

    Any thoughts?

I am going to give Sanchez a game or two, but if he starts producing he is straight in for KDB. KDB isnt looking that great of late, but having said that i am sure a huge KDB haul is going to come sooner rather than later

I don't think those with Aguero will be able to afford Sanchez and KDB - so I would say it's a case of choosing one or the other - or swapping between the two based on fixtures (but you'll need an expendable budget and minimal injuries to be able to do this).

Will give him a couple of games, last season he took a few games to get back into form but that could have been due to fatigue. Probably will just do KDB to Sanchez unless something crazy happens as funds a little tight.

Yeah, I have Aguero, so it means having to pick two out of Ozil, Sanchez and KDB. I'm going to give Sanchez a couple of games as well, to see how he gets on.

Might be wise like you say to keep the funds and vary Ozil and KDB/Silva over the fixtures. Always a bit nervous having nought in the bank.

      Cheers for the advice guys.

I just know this week I'm going to contrive to bench two CSs. Thoughts on who to play?

    Alderweireld (cpl)
    Bellerin (CHE)
    Daniels (sun)
    Moreno (nor)
    Simpson (STO)

if you've got Daniels, then he has to play every game as pens are random.
i'd probably go Moreno and Alder with him

    Bench one:
    A- KDB (west ham away)
    B- Mahrez (stoke home)

    literally have no clue

    1. Sp0rting
      10 years, 9 months ago

      Depends.

I'd bench Mahrez but if you have Kun then he can be your MCI cover so you'd bench KdB and hope Mahrez hoovers up the LEI points.

Keeping Kolarov to save the transfer. Want 2FT for next week after the C1C semis.

Hoping his injury isn't serious and by the time sun, LEI, TOT comes around he's a bit of a differential even if he only plays two of them.

      10 years, 9 months ago

Oh I'd keep too if I didn't have 2FTs. Plenty of logic in that.
