    When are people planning to use their bench-boost chips?

    I always figured I'd hold it for a DGW...however thinking about it, you're only going to get 4 teams with 2 games in one week, and max 3 players per side makes 12 max.

    Assuming I completely destroyed my nicely constructed team for DGW (which I have no intention of doing), bench boost wouldn't really be helping out much.

    Considering pulling the trigger next week, since I a) have all players fit and playing, and b) virtually all are facing weaker opponents (sun, new, avl, nor...)...the planets are aligning 🙂

    Thoughts?

      Re your first point the idea is there will be some players you want to hold on to won't have a DGW. If Aguero doesn't for example. So you pick extra players at the fringes that have a DGW for your bench. Maybe half and half DGW and SGW. Buying 15 players with a DGW even if it were possible probably wouldn't be optimal anyway

        Problem is, I don't really have any fringe players...there's no-one who's permanent bench fodder that I don't care about transferring in/out, they all play and rotate, for e.g. I have the usual Kun/Kane/Kak frontline, Alli is my 5th mid (not 4th), I've cheaped out on defence a bit, but they all play and rotate pretty well in pretty good defensive units.

        My worst fixture next week is arguably Wollscheid away at United...but I'd even fancy that to be a clean sheet against LVGs mob given there's only been 17 goals scored at Old Trafford all season.

    well, this might be a bit controversial

    i think it's time to shift KdB, i know stats say otherwise & all, but i'm sorry a 2-2-2-2-2 then suddenly a 15, then a series of 2 pointers doesn't cut it for someone worth 10 million, specially with firmino & alli emerging as alternatives (yes, i ignored alli & went with payet, feck!)

    for sunderland away- he only scored away at spurs, so i'm certain that his away form doesn't vary with fixtures, & city have games twice a week for the next week, & pelle does rotate his squad, whereas alli or firmino are nailed ( or atleast we know they won't be benched in the league)

    similarly for DGW, i think we shouldn't forget that DGW is useful mainly for nailed on players, like lukaku, aguero or barkley, or maybe even alli, coz others can easily be rotated!

        Could do. Only other strikers to consider are Vardy, Iggy and Afobe for me.

        West Ham have good fixtures in the next 4, they're in form and, with injuries up front, Enner has a chance to shine at a good price.

        Otherwise I can enable Firmino with Mahrez > 4.6, Deulofeu > Firmino

    Reasonable gw for me with 58 points. Shame I'm sh1t at picking my starters. Alli, Simpson and Bertrand all benched. 25 points there... Reckon a fair few benched Alli with me though. How did you all do?

      Same, 57 with Alli and Simpson on bench along with Bellerin, but feel contended to already have Mahrez and Alli as 4th and 5th mids, with the blank coming in gw27 those two will be the studs of that gameweek

    Is there a bumper double gameweek (just like gw 36 or 37 last season) that is not preceded by a blank GW?

      It's not logically possible to have DGW without some blanks beforehand (usually beforehand). Anyone's guess when this will occur and the size of said DGW, as that will depend who reaches the latter stages of the FA Cup.

      Early signs are that GW34 will be the biggie. But GW35 is cup semi weekend so there will be blanks here.

    Done with one K(KdB), time for the other K!
    Harry kane, is part of many forwards jostling for the three spots in our side, i'd say some of them are- Aguero Ighalo Lukaku Kane Vardy Giroud, now, kane is the odd one out in my opinion!

    Not just is he in lesser form than most, he doesn't get BAPs, scores the odd goal, good but there seem to be better alternatives

    the bigger reason to shift kane is bamidelle alli (hope i got the first name right) now many of you might ask, why not a double up? i don't think it's a great idea doubling up on attacking players right now, the vardy mahrez train is stop start, & in the second half of the season, i generally spread it out, because you don't want your fortunes to depend on just the one game, i'd rather have ighalo lukaku alli instead of two in the same team

    i am a fan of harry kane, but this season, he just seems a bit off the mark from really top fpl strikers, specially as ighalo & lukaku, giroud aguero vardy are doing better than him. so i'd say Alli is enough spurs attacking cover
