Yannick Bolasie is in line to start for Palace at the Hawthorns. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is ruled out of Arsenal’s clash with United, Louis van Gaal plays down the seriousness of Anthony Martial’s hamstring problem, whilst Ryan Shawcross remains sidelined for Stoke’s battle with Villa at the Britannia. Here’s what we have so far ahead of the weekend’s eight matches.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been ruled out for a number of weeks with a knee injury sustained in Arsenal’s midweek Champions League clash with Barcelona. Arsene Wenger has also confirmed that Gabriel will undergo a late fitness test ahead of Sunday’s trip to United.

Tony Pulis is optimistic on Craig Dawson and Gareth McAuley’s chances of making West Brom’s home match with Palace after both trained all week. Pulis is also hopeful on Jonny Evans’s fitness, just four days after ruling the former United man out for “a while”.

With Harry Kane missing out due to a broken nose, Nacer Chadli led the line for Tottenham’s win over Fiorentina last night as Mauricio Pochettino’s men progressed to the last 16 of the Europa League. Dele Alli retained his advanced central role behind the lone striker despite the absence of Mousa Dembele – Ryan Mason partnered Eric Dier in the double-pivot instead and grabbed the opener courtesy of an Alli assist. The latter’s second-half caution means he misses the first league of the next round of the competition. Reports in the local press earlier today indicate that Kane is set to return to training today ahead of Sunday’s encounter with Swansea.

Swansea, meanwhile, have a fully fit squad for the trip to White Hart Lane, Alan Curtis has confirmed.

Stoke skipper Ryan Shawcross has conceded he is “not quite ready” to return at home to Villa this weekend as he steps up his recovery from an ongoing back injury.

Alan Pardew reckons that fit-again Yannick Bolasie is ready to start for Palace this weekend after being utilised as a sub in the FA Cup win at Spurs last time out. Bakary Sako “is close” to a return to action, though the Eagles boss is still undecided over the winger’s weekend availability. Jason Puncheon is out for two more weeks, though.

Rudy Gestede has been passed fit for Villa’s trip to Stoke after recovering from a hamstring problem. Fellow forward Gabby Agbonlahor is also available after being forced off with dizziness last time out. Jack Grealish, Carlos Sanchez, Libor Kozak and Adama Traore are still sidelined, whilst Jordan Ayew serves the last of a three-match ban.

Andy Carroll and Winston Reid are back in training ahead of West Ham’s clash with Sunderland, though the latter is still a doubt for tomorrow. Enner Valencia will be assessed, though the Hammers have Cheick Kouyate available after the FA overturned his one-match ban in midweek.

Jose Manuel Jurado is likely to miss Watford’s clash with Bournemouth as he continues to recover from a calf complaint. Joel Ekstrand is back in training as he steps up his recovery from a hamstring injury.

Southampton have no new injury concerns ahead of their home clash with Chelsea, Ronald Koeman has confirmed. Florin Gardos and Jay Rodriguez are back in training from long-term injuries, though neither are available yet, with the Saints boss admitting that the latter will be handed some minutes with the reserves over the next couple of weeks before being considered for selection.

Daniel Amartey is in contention to make his Leicester debut, according to Claudio Ranieri. With Danny Simpson serving a one-match suspension, the Foxes boss revealed that he’s considering Amartey, Marcin Wasilewski and even Marc Albrighton for the right-back berth at home to Norwich. Jeffrey Schlupp has returned to full training after finally overcoming a hamstring problem.

Billy Jones, Younes Kaboul, Jan Kirchhoff and Seb Larsson are all available for Sunderland’s trip to West Ham tomorrow lunchtime. Jeremain Lens remains sidelined with a hernia problem but has a chance of returning next weekend, though Duncan Watmore faces weeks out due to ankle ligament damage.

Anthony Martial was withdrawn from the United starting line-up last night after picking up a hamstring problem during the warm-up. Post-match, Louis van Gaal played down the Frenchman’s complaint, though it remains to be seen if he’ll be ready for Sunday’s home encounter with Arsenal.

    Here's what I have & 2 FTs, 2.9 ITB

    Adrian (MaCarthy)

Bellerin - Dier - Nyom - Targett (Ward)

Sanchez - Payet - Ali - Stanislas (Firmino)

    Kane - Vardy (C) (Aguero)

    I'm thinking the obvious:

    Ward -> Fuchs

    Firmino -> Mahrez

Have I missed a better option or GTG?

    Quick check of opinions..

A - Play Stanislas, roll over FT

B - Use only FT for Stanislas -> Arnie

    Only have 11 including Stanislas

Struggling to decide.. Stoke have some good fixtures but with FTs needed in the next few weeks, don't know if it's a bit sideways.. Especially as Bournemouth arguably have a better fixture than Stoke in GW30..

Can't decide on the defence for GW27, play 3 out of:

Wollsheid (AVL) Cresswell (SUN) Alderweireld (SWA) Fuchs(NOR)

Hennessey (wba) being my GK and Monreal (mun) being my 5th defender.

my 4th mid is Alli (SWA), but i don't see a way to ship him to the bech for a defender this week.

    Thanks in advance.

p.s. this is my first post so i'm not sure if this is the way to introduce myself to the community

      Welcome!

I'd go for Cresswell, Alderweireld and Fuchs. Shawcross not back for Stoke so that decreases their chances of a clean sheet usually. He'll be back next week I think.

thanks, i was thinking in the same direction, just wasn't sure should i play Fuchs or Wollsheid.
Cresswell and Alderweireld were in every combination.

    Butland-Hennessey
    Toby-Cresswell-Fuchs-Targett-Smith

Am I right Smith is likely to lose his place to Elphick now?
Need a defender (can afford anyone) for next 3-4 weeks.
At the moment can't see much past doubling up on Stoke.
Any ideas? (can't be Leicester or Spurs)

    A. Moreno -> Wimmer , this week I would play 4-4-2
    B. Firmino -> Eriksen, I could play 3-5-2, but have benching headache next weeks

    I have Alli and Kane.

I would think this should be considered a 'no brainer' but for some reason I'm still questioning it...

    De Gea to?

    A) Forster
    B) Lloris

Considering I have VVD and Berty but no Toby or any other Spurs defence

I certainly don't want any of Saints midfielder or forwards and they're rock solid at the back - so is a triple up really as crazy as it might sound??

I would like Toby however, and Lloris would fill my allocation along with Alli and Kane - should I go without Toby?

    Thanks

B mate - i wouldnt triple up on saints defence although the past few weeks it would have been v.nice

It looks a no brainer to go Lloris doesn't it? But I'm still questioning... guess it's by far the safest option, particularly with Chelsea up next.

        Cheers to the reply Bobby

Morning chaps - how are we? Just a quick re check on which to go for?

    Butland
    Cresswell, Azpi, Williams
    Sanchez, Payet, Firmino, Mahrez, Stanislas
    Vardy(C), Kane

    (Hennessey) Souare , Aguero, Simpson

    A) Firmino > Eriksen
    B) Souare > VvD
    C) Both the above (have 2ft and will bench Williams)

I like Eriksen and VVD... so I'd be tempted to say both

But with the unconfirmed DGW's, it's probably wise to make only one of those transfers.

Think I'd go Souare's to VVD, as the man's a BAPS magnet, dangerous when coming up for set pieces and Saints have by far the best back line of late

Thanks mate - i do plan to have both in but am definitely more towards one transfer for this GW

As you see Chelsea scoring... I'd go A first then, that way you can get VVD next GW and avoid Chelsea

i would normally be on top of dgw planning but a combination of shocking season with no chance of winning my ML...dont have any idea of how to plan for the upcomings dgws/blanks. I can currently field 9 this coming gw and 10 for gw30

    lloris -- henessey
williams daniels --- souare* darmian* simpson*
alli sanchez mahrez payet --- firmino
    kane vardy --- kun

1- logical to take a hit to field 11? essentially only a 2 point hit
2- removing a def (darmian?) and firmino makes sense? or removing two defenders?
    3- firmino to??

What should my top priority be with dgws in mind...
