Saturday’s action kicks up a gear as we’re treated to five mid-afternoon match-ups. In light of Everton’s double Gameweek, their trip to Watford will be watched intently by a bevy of Fantasy managers gunning for glory.

Despite managing five goals over their last four outings, Everton’s consecutive blanks illustrate their recent struggles on the attacking front – indeed, only two teams chalked up fewer attempts (15), big chances (one) and shots on target (three) during the previous two Gameweeks. It’s a similar story for the Hornets, who carded a solitary goal in their last quartet of fixtures. On a more positive note, Watford chart fourth-bottom for goals conceded at home (14).

Crystal Palace also embark on the first of their two clashes this Gameweek as they play host to Norwich City. Although the Eagles notched a middling goal haul (five) in their last four outings, the fact they placed fifth for shots inside the box (38) bodes well for their attacking potential at Selhurst Park. That being said, they’re pitted against a Canaries defence that notched two clean sheets and conceded the fewest big chances (one) over their past four matches.

Southampton strive to rebound from defeat to Leicester City when they invite Newcastle United to St Mary’s Stadium. Saints’ attack has excelled at home this term, ranking fifth for goals (28), fourth for shots inside the box (160) and second for shot-conversion rate (12.2%). On the flip side, the Magpies have accrued two fewer goals (nine) than any team in away fixtures, which instils confidence in Southampton’s capacity to record their first clean sheet in seven outings.

In the West Midlands, Aston Villa endeavour to avoid their eighth straight defeat when Bournemouth pay a visit. The Cherries are also in the midst of a poor run, having lost their previous two outings by an aggregate of 7-0. At the Liberty Stadium, Swansea City lock horns with a Chelsea outfit that currently boast the longest unbeaten streak (15 matches) that any team’s managed this campaign.

His form has dipped but he's still young and Martinez wouldn't be able to organise a defence that has Maldini and Nesta in it.

Just watched the most miserable and dull half of football ever. Crystal Palace - Norwich 0 - 0. It should be a game where they players show at least some dedication, instead complete hollowness.

oh yeah please tell me how he will be a superstar and what not. What has England done with all these amazing 40 million pounds players? Sterling, Stones and the others? How about in Europe? Nothing? any Ballon d'Or nominees at least? golden boot? No, still nothing? Yet they have the "best" league in the world. Maybe the most expensive.
