Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Bolasie & Wickham out. 16.3m to play with.

I'm not bothered by blanks, e.g. Martial & Welbeck both have 6 games left. Doesn't matter if GW35 blanks since there will be an extra game in GW37. LIV has 7 games left so I want 3 (already have Coutinho and Sakho).

    A. Sturridge + Iwobi
    B. Welbeck + Firmino
    C. Martial + Firmino
    D. Ozil + Origi

Some other combination. Any advice appreciated.

Is there any reason Lukaku and Martial are likely to get more or less minutes than each other in DGW34?

      Yes
Martial needs a break. May well get one vs Villa home (despite Utd needing every result for a possible top 4 finish)

Balders is right. I liked your moves because it brought in Iwobe and Smalling, not for the Ozil to Sanchez bit. If you can do the first two without taking a hit for Sanchez I think that's what I would do.

Hey DZer's -- I used my WC to have this to BB this week and want to avoid a transfer so I can have 2 freebies for GW 35.

    DDG - Robles

    Smalling / Bellerin / Gabriel/ Sakho/ Delaney

    Sanchez/ KDB/ Coutinho/ Mahrez/ Lanzini

    Lukaku/ Kun/ Martial

    GTG?

Are people transferring out their West ham/United/Everton assets (if more than 3) for GW35 or leaving them in their team? Seems pointless transferring them out when they have a DGW in 37 that you'll want them in for. Won't end up with 11 DGW's in 37 otherwise.

I plan to do lukaku > Kane to give me 11.
They will both have 4 games left so pointless on a fixture quantity basis perhaps, though I'd argue there are many valid points to why that is a good transfer

OK all set with every player a DGWeeker:
    Cech
Clyne Clichy Cresswell (an all C defence!)
    Barkley Antonio Coutinho Ozil
    Wellbeck Lukaku Aguero

Who the hell should I captain?
    Maybe a TC?

      Aguero or Ozil I guess.

If I don't cap Aguero he'll score 5 but am leaning towards Ozil or even Cout as a smoky.

When you watch Lukaku play, doesn't it seem he's one of, if not the worst, player technically on the pitch?

I know Mourinho's made a few mistakes in the past, but selling Lukaku wasn't one of them

    robles/darlow

    bellerin/gabriel/sakho/delaney/mangala

    kdb/sanchez/payet/bolasie/barkley

    aguero/lukaku/mitro

    playin bb this week..

who do i axe to bring in a liverpool mid..bolasie or barkley? or probably both with a hit?

    any other gametime threats foreseeable?

Ditch Bolasie. He really flatters to deceive. Mangala will be dropped as soon as Kompany's back. Gabriel should be fine despite concerns imo.

Repost as didnt get much feedback...

Is it worth dropping Mahrez for Lanzini / Antonio for a -4 hit??

PS: it's to free up funds to bring in Kane for Lukaku for GW35, i'd have 11 men.

    Thanks

I wouldn't ditch Mahrez now. Could be a nice asset to have in GW35. Besides, you'll probably want Lukaku for GW37 anyways.

    Whats the deal with Sakho??

Is it worth going Lennon and & Sakho to Fosu Mensah & Firm/Cout for a -4?

Already did Deeney >> Martial and own smalling, fine with a man u double up in defence

There will be a lot of rotation I reckon. Skrtel and Toure in the league again. Possbily Sakho and Lovren for the derby

Think Sakho will play. Already been rested and CBs are probably less likely to be rested again.

He was rested as he and Lovren are our first choice pairing. Dortmund match is massive and we need our best players at 100%

Best jags replacement? Should be similarly priced with a DGW followed by a game in 35

Clyne or Dawson? Or someone else?

I really don't get the theory on pressing WC late. Your one marginal transfer is not going to make a difference to money making.

Makes sense then. I don't think any cheap players apart from maybe Iwobi or Lanzini are likely to outdo Mahrez by 4 points but I'd probably leave it in your situation.

Catching up on some Arsenal reading and just read this on the City match yesterday:

"So, City are through to a Champions League semi-final. I remember those. We had one once. Or twice maybe, but who needs them when you can set an actual record for being eliminated in the Round of 16 for the most years in succession? That’s where the real history is made. Nobody remembers who got knocked out in the semis."

😀 Gotta be able to laugh at yourselves.

Seasoned players here happier after last night's CSS?
I sold Toby, Vardy, Siggy, Ozil, Williams, Morgan, Alli (would have benched some of them tho) but Sanchez, Robles and Ward did some damage limitation and readied the team for BB 34.

I think he will since he's fresh enough to play vs Bournemouth, and the merseyside derby is too important to miss. There will be rotation in the newcastle game imo
