    ------------Robles---------------
    ---Bellerin PVA Cresswell---
    Sanchez Ozil Payet Hazard
    ----Aguero Martial Defoe----
    -------------------------------------
    Darlow Lanzini Moreno Ivanovic
    -------------------------------------------
1ft, 2.7itb. Plan was always Lanzini > Mane but now it's looking like I will only have 2 defenders. with PVA looking like he was carrying a injury tonight and down at end of game. Going to feel lightweight going with no Saints attack but it's starting to look to me like the best option is to get a defender in. What do you think?

A: Lanzini > Mane (bench Defoe) and hope one of PVA/Moreno/Ivan play
B: Ivan/Moreno > VVD (and hope my 4 mids and Defoe beat the Saints attackers)
C: Both for -4 (this covers all rest and rotation but could end up taking unnecessary hit)

Ps going asleep now so thanks in advance for any replies

AOA chip would've been useful. I'd get Koscielny probably.

Moved up to 769, want to stay in the top 1k. 1FT, 0m ITB. Any suggestions?

    Darlow (Robles)
    Bellerin Smalling Cresswell (PvA Simpson)
Sanchez (c) Payet Lanzini Firmino (Coutinho)
    Aguero (vc) Kane Defoe

I'm in a similar position, want to stay inside that 1k. I've gone and done Fabregas/Cout > Alexis/Mane for -4.

      I'd say, Kane > Giroud, perhaps? Coutinho > Tadlc/Mane?

Kane (a quality player) to Giroud (a donkey) seems flawed.

Who do you bench if you take the hit? It's that player + 4 vs the new player.

Yep it's Lanzini + 4 versus the other player (would likely be Mane or Ozil). Think that's worth it TM?

Could be if you think Lanzini is a 2 pter.

    Thoughts on these transfers please:

    1) Coutinho > Tadic (bench Carroll)
    2) Iwobi & Carroll > Tadic & Long / Giroud
    3) Clyne > Smalling (bench one of Iwobi / Coutinho)

Which defender do you bench in 3)?
Really comes down to Carroll to Giroud being worth -4 or not.

Would bench Clyne and play Bellerin, PVA and Cresswell

I'm inclined just to do A and play 3-5-2 and pray that donkey stays at home that day!

May as well play GW1 and take 14 hits if needed. As long as you score 56 or more then you have your WC. Chances are you'll get a few players right.

Never considered that. Do people really start GW2 on purpose? I'd much rather 25 points and sort it out from there.

Of it was less than 40 points I would consider your view, but if it's 60 points then no way a WC will make that up.
Remember that the GW1 starter will still have his WC too as his team will have scored well.

Started this FPL journey 4 seasons ago as a "casual" & found out about this site during final few GWs. Finished just outside 30k OR that season. The next 2 seasons were fantastic for me but both the times the transfers in GW 38 did go horridly wrong thus missing out on 3-digit rank.

After yesterday's events I'm now sitting on that magical 999 OR. I don't even know how I'm feeling right now. I'm probably too scared, nervous that I will mess it up & miss out on it once again. Anyway, I would very much appreciate all of your suggestions for GW 38.

Slightly leading ML by 6 points. All chips played by both. Any advice what to do next week ? I am thinking of doing Milner > Tadic
The ones marked * are common

    My team:
    DDG/Schmeichel
    PVA-Bellerin-Cresswell-Simpson*-Delaney
    Milner-Sanchez-Payet-Townsend-Mahrez
    Kun-Carroll-Deeney

    ITB: 4.5

    His team:
    Robles/Darlow
    Smalling-Simpson*-Azpi-Delaney*-Gabriel
    Countinho-Sanchez*-Lanzini-Payet*-Iwobi
    Kun*-Kane-Sturridge

    ITB: 0.1

Too many variables. Luck of the draw with such a small lead.
Kane could destroy you. Milner out looks the move if you trust Carroll.

I dont want to take a lot of hits. But I am willing to do a -4
I want to get in a Saints player - Tadic.
Thinking Iwobi or probably Giroud for Carroll. Juggling between 3-5-2 (if no Giroud) or 3-4-3 (if Giroud)

Cheers mate - I m afraid of Kane messing me up. But,
        Milner > Tadic
        Townsend > Iwobi ?

        DDG
        PVA-Bellerin-Cresswell
        Sanchez(c)-Payet-Tadic-Iwobi
        Kun-Deeney-Carroll

        Bench: Schmeichel-Mahrez-Simpson-Delaney

        Seems good then ?

Which combo to get for -4?

    a) Giroud+Davis

Speaking of Andy Carroll, I really hope he (and Sturridge) get their bodies right and play a full season. He can be immense and such a great player to watch, if only he could play more than 75% of the season. West Ham could be a smokey for a top 4 finish if they keep their momentum from this season, and I think Andy is pivotal to their success!

Thats tough. Palace are at the beach. Bookies have Long at $2.25 and Carroll at $2.75. Coin toss.

Who else do you have from WHU and SOU?

I think chips have worked ok for me, quite happy that in the last 10 game weeks I have clocked up 704 points

Must find time to concentrate on FPL for the full season next season

I like the chips idea, but think a few need to change. I would have...

      1 - Bench Boost
2 - Perfect Captaincy: FPL will automatically double the points of your highest scorer for that week
3 - Extra Free Transfer: Get 1 extra FT to use during the week. So you could have a max of 3 FT in one week.

Possibly, but it puts more emphasis on "getting in the right players" approach vs a lucky dip with the armband.

Yes, but FPL has been moving in the opposite direction, trying to make it more dependent on luck.
The captaincy itself is luck based. I would prefer no captaincy tbh.

Cout - Haz - Townsend - Payet (King)
    Sturridge - Kun - Defoe

Want to bring in Tadic and either Sachez or Giroud. So:

    A) Cout > Alexis and Townsend > Tadic (play 4-4-2)

    OR

    B) Cout > Tadic and Sturridge > Giroud (3-4-3)

    Opponent's team:

    De Gea
    Bellerin Smalling Cresswell Moreno Alderweireld
    Mahrez Firmino Noble Payet Willian
    Aguero Deeney Martial

    He has his TC left.

    My team:

    Mannone
    Bellerin PVA Smalling Cresswell Delaney
    Payet Sanchez Mahrez Antonio Anita
    Aguero Kane Sturridge.

    No chips left.

Tied at first place, both of us.

Thinking of doing a Sturridge swap.

    Which one?

    A. Sturridge ---> Shane Long tempts me
    B. Sturridge ---> Giroud
    C. Sturridge ---> Martial (to avoid the tension of Martial scoring by chance which gives him an advantage)

    Please help.

Tough one as he has TC - he might get in Sanchez and do the TC. But, I feel you should go for B - he cud prove the differential (if your rival does not get him)

      1. sergioaguero67

As far as I know him, he won't prefer taking a hit, and would put his TC on Aguero.

He has done that almost the entire season.

        So,
        Giroud, Martial or Long?

thing is, today is the first I regularly used anything but my long iron (it's a 5i) on the tee box. hit pretty consistently with the 3 wood which I was happy with..so considering I would often have to have at least 1-2 more approach shots given they were irons, I'm pretty happy!

I initially intended to have them from GW 33 until the end of the season. I had both in GW 33 & TC'd Lukaku.....rage transferred both out in 34.

    Probable team
    Mignolet,
    Bellerin, PVA, Reid
    Cout, Fabs, Payet, Sanchez
    Aguero, Defoe, Carroll
    Robles, Rojo, Simpson, Willian*

    3.7m in account, 1ft

    Carroll to either Kane/Giroud?
Any other changes I should consider?
Rival doesn't have Kane/Giroud or Aguero so captaining one of these is my only faint hope.
