With Gameweek 38’s ten fixtures all taking place on Sunday, we’re still waiting on the majority of press conferences to be rolled out later today. Here’s what we have so far…

Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Mesut Ozil has recovered from the minor hip problem that forced him to miss last week’s draw at the Etihad. Danny Welbeck is ruled out for nine months with the knee injury sustained against City, whilst Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain remains on the sidelines.

Sam Allardyce has revealed he plans to hand some younger players a run out away to Watford after Sunderland sealed their survival at home to Everton in midweek.

Vincent Kompany, David Silva and Pablo Zabaleta remain sidelined for City’s trip to Swansea. Aleksandar Kolarov requires a late fitness test, whilst Samir Nasri is “working normally” with the squad after missing out last weekend due to illness.

Adam Smith and Sylvain Distin are Bournemouth’s only absentees for the trip to Old Trafford, Eddie Howe has confirmed.

Swansea are optimistic that Jefferson Montero will recover from a hamstring problem in time for the weekend home match against Man City. Lukasz Fabianski is set to be rested, along with Ashley Williams, ahead of turning out for Poland in Euro 2016, whilst Gylfi Sigurdsson and Neil Taylor are both injured.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of Sunday’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

    Btw guys,

Palace have conceded 6 goals in their last 7 games. At a rate of 0.85 goals conceded per game.

Whatever team Pardew fields, everyone will play for a place in the final.

    Do. Not. Underestimate.

Are you staying clear of So'ton then, LR?

I think I will be too, I've gone so long hit-free it seems a shame to ruin the record now.

Double Ars defence here, so stuck with either Ozil or Sanchez.

Repost due to bottoming. Not FPL-related.

Somebody just started sending me messages on whatsapp asking if i was the sales person they spoke to on the phone this morning. I was with a customer all morning, so it wasn't me, but I asked if she remembered the name so if it was someone I work with, I could pass on the info. She didn't know which office the guy was at, his name or anything. But she sent me a phone number and said 'this was his phone number'...

I'm really confused. I can't get my head around why she's sending messages to my phone number when she has the number of the guy she's looking for.

    I mean... what!?!

Anyway, she's working with me now 😎

I really don't see the point in these farewell gestures. He played the other day, that should be enough. If he's not first choice he shouldn't start. He can do a lap of honour at the end if he wants to thank the fans.

Sorry, incomplete question. Do I do one of these for a hit?

      A. Deeney to Giroud?
      B. Martial to Aguero?
      C. Coutinho to some mid, since Mane might not play?
      D. Sell one of PVA/Gabriel to ensure three defenders.

    Hello, need your help, guys!

I`m 14 points behind in my ML, we have very similar teams. I have 6,5 in the bank and 1 FT.

    My team:
    De Gea
    Cresswell - PVA - Bellerin
    Payet - Hazard - Townsend - Sanchez
    Lukaku - Carroll - Defoe

    Rival:
    De Gea
    Azpilicueta - PVA - Bellerin
    Tadic - Hazard - Antonio - Sanchez
    Lukaku - Rashford - Aguero

    What I can do?

    1) Not panic, use FT Townsend ---->>> DeBruyne and captain KDB.
    2) Get Aguero, Giroud and Arnautovic (Tadic) (-8) and hope for different captain choice
    3) Another hits and options

    1. RustyBz

Man City have scored 14 goals against Swansea in the last 5 appearances - 7 goals away in last 2 apps, 7 goals at home in last 3 apps.

Aguero has featured in 3 of these 5 games and only got 1 assist.

Surely if Man City continue to pummel them as they have done recently then Aguero will be in the goals?

277(-12) here - really good score Lateriser!

Reason I didn't quite hit the 300 was just bad luck - things like playing Townsend over Sanchez last weekend (tbh you'd always play Townsend vs. Villa), Caroll + Lukaku's travails (probably less to do with luck) and (okay, again arguably less to do with luck) my Liverpool players only really playing 1 game in the DGW.

Still, I'm not too upset with that overall score. Wanted to hit above 150 from BB (34) and around 100 for my TC (37) and achieved both objectives.

ML rival is 40 points ahead and has Sanchez and Aguero, probably captaining Sanchez.

    Best move to beat him??

    A) Fab -> Mane / Tadic and captain
    B) A but captain Aguero

Such a ridiculous statement. English football still doesn't understand the principle of having a head coach NOT a manager. The head coach is replaceable, the upper management less so. The Pozzos are some of the best owners in the world (look them up), and have undoubtedly been a success in England.

No need to look anyone up. Anyone can see what a good job Flores has done.

I would suggest your idea of the importance of the head/management is the wrong way round.

He has done a good job, and I would have given him a second season. But the Pozzos believe he's not the person to move the club forward, and they know what they're doing. Everyone was shocked when we didn't give Jokanovic a new contract after getting us promoted - was that a bad decision?

Is this the same management team that hired and fired four different managers all within the same season the year previous?

Flores has been there a year. Firing managers in the short term makes very little sense. A team like Watford need long term thinking. I'd be worried for next season.

People said the same thing when Southampton sacked Adkins, when West Ham sacked BFS, when Leicester hired Ranieri. I didn't particularly want Flores to leave, but the football in 2016 has been awful.

Flores done brilliantly well with a very average team. Been very well organised and workmanlike. Without deeney and Ighalo though would have been in big trouble. If either of those two get injured could be in big trouble. So Flores might be better out of it

Very similar teams - seems like he has a bit more to do than you to get in front.

I'd be tempted to be a bit annoying and block with Defoe --> Kane (oh honour, where art thou?). Think your differentials are better than his.

      And armband on Sanchez.

or get gabriel as well - as i cant afford to turn defoe or caroll into giroud or kane.

Trying to win mini-league - have 18 point lead

    Me + 1FT:
    Darlow (Robles)
    Bellerin, PVA, Moreno (Delaney)(Simpson)
    Iwobi Payet Sanchez Hazard (Coutinho)
    Carroll Aguero Defoe

    Him - likely + 1FT:
    Darlow (Robles)
    Bellerin, Smalling, Cresswell (Fuchs)(Dann)
    Iwobi Payet Sanchez Mahrez (Firminio)
    Carroll Aguero Defoe

What's my FT to block? Delaney ->Smalling and bench Moreno? PVA may not play though. Nor Defoe.

Depends on your situation, SS, but I'd be tempted by giving Mahrez a last hurrah - think Sunderland will be less motivated now (youngsters may play so Defoe is a slight doubt, but very slight) whereas there will be a good atmosphere at Stamford Bridge. Think Watford will play well for the outgoing QSF, too.
