The Belgium and France midfields come under analysis after some stellar recent displays, whilst we also assess a number of in-form forwards ahead of tonight’s opening match of Euro 2016.

My biggest problem right now is the choose between Matuidi and Payet.
Payet feels more explosive and more attacking, but I'm afraid about his gametime. Even if he starts he will probably be subbed out and I'm not convinced that he will start game 2.
Matuidi is more nailed on. Even if he is a more defensive player he has some attacking moves a few times during a game. He he scored more points that payet during the friendlies I think. He is cheaper, but not that explosive.
Should I live and go for the not so nailed payet or be safe and buy the playing Matuidi?
Already have Giroud and Rami/Mangala! 🙂

If you don't back Payet to play well enough to start the 2nd game then get Matuidi. Short tournament though so you need to have explosive risky players like Dimi.

I have read the rules on the McD app, but don't think I fully get it!
You can swap players in and out after each single game day? Change captains after each single game day? Is it like black jack where you gamble against the points you have already accumulated, hoping to increase?You've got it 🙂

Trying to go with some different picks, not just the most expensive..
GK - Patricio - His price, his group and Portugal look very defensive/boring
Defender - Alba - Great attacking potential, great clean sheet potential, should go far in the tournament
Midfielder - Hamsik - Expect Slovakia to be a surprise package and qualify from the group. He's their star player, he gets attacking points and he's cheap.
Forward - Giroud - Home advantage, nailed on striker in good form with a good group to get some goals, cheap compared to the elite price forwards
Sommer - price and fixtures
Alba - goal threat and fixtures
Gotze - playing CF/false 9 for Germany
Muller - main goal scorer for GermanyPatricio, strong defence and plays on the last day
Alba, strong defence and attacking potential (don't have him though)

Payet. Set pieces are important in tournaments. And he is the best at taking them. And for the competition favourites no less.

Hamsik - most likely productive player for a Slovakian side whose easiest games should be the first two (also captaincy option on Saturday)

He had before the game against Norway. Denayer played very poor once again, Ciman came on and scored. 2 days ago Ciman was training with, what seemed to be, the first XI. I think he has a good chance of starting the first game, but Meunier and Vermaelen might return to the squad soon so I think he's only good for 1 week

Sounds better than it is. You'll make £7.27 profit IF France win, then a £5 free bet for every goal they score. You're probably looking at 2x£5 free bets, which you will probably lose on anyway. If France do the unthinkable and draw, you're £20 down.

Looks like Aduritz might start ahead of Morata.
Apparently during the last training game, Aduritz was playing with the starting players and Morata with the substitutes.
