Fantasy Football Scout memberships for 2016/17 are now available for the pre-season price of just £12.50 and, as a bonus, they come packaged with additional Euro 16 statistics.

Last season’s memberships expired on Wednesday June 1 but you can now renew to get access to the members area.

Existing registered users can upgrade via this link. New users, who are yet to register an account, can sign up via this link.

Payments can be made through Paypal or via Stripe using debit or credit cards.

While our Members league couldn’t quite claim a third consecutive FPL champion, we were thrilled to see Ed Masters – the winner of this season’s Members League – finish third in the overall rankings. Ed recently cited the Members area as a factor in his superb season and we hope we can help him and other Fantasy managers to successful campaigns in 2016/17.

As an added and timely bonus this season, we’re delighted to announce that, as of today, our members will have access to a wealth of statistics to help steer their Euro 16 Fantasy selections as part of the membership package.

We’ve secured Opta data, not only for the tournament itself, which begins on June 10, but also from the Qualifying Rounds and also more than 12 months of international friendlies involving the participating nations. This includes all the recent friendly matches and all those played right up to the tournament kick-off.

As far as we know, this data cannot be found collated in this form anywhere else on the net, giving our members a potential advantage when it comes to their Euro 16 Fantasy selections.

Members can switch between competitions to mine the data using an array of tables which break down a huge variety of statistics by position. Our comparison tools for players and teams can also be used to make head-to-head comparisons – a vital tool when it comes to decision making.

Filters can be applied to take into account only the last two, four and six matches played by a team or player and the match dashboard offers individual analysis of each match, together with charts which plot average positions of players and match events like shots on goal and chances created.

Members can also get started creating their own custom tables based on the data and sharing them for public use via comments on the site.

We will be producing a preview movie highlighting what is available very soon.

We’ve still a few rough edges to iron out with some presentation elements – namely missing squad numbers and profile pics – but we wanted to get this out to you now in order to give you as much time as possible to utilise the data and use it to shape your Euro 16 Fantasy thinking.

Just to stress, this Euro 16 offering comes packaged with the regular Fantasy Football Scout membership. If you sign up today you will get access to the Euro 16 statistics and all the usual Premier League statistics and tools for the 2016/17 campaign once that gets underway.

This starts with access to our members season ticker tool on or around June 15 with the announcement of the Premier League fixtures, with our Rate My Team tool and Player Projections to follow once the Fantasy Premier League player list is confirmed.

Membership will increase to £15.00 on conclusion of the first weekend of the Premier League season.

Be sure to check out all the other benefits of signing up as a member here. A full FAQ on our Members area is also available here.

We are hugely grateful to those who show their support by signing up as a member each season. This continues to enable us to maintain the site, grow the FFS team and develop further.

In the last few months we were able to roll out a new look for the site and, once we’ve completed the improvements to the Members Area Euro data, we will be going live with a number of changes to the redesign. This includes re-establishing a full desktop view for mobile and tablet users and improving access for users on those platforms – as well as a number of tweaks to the desktop version following your recent feedback.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Looks good but I would swap Randolph for Kozacik since Randolph and Patricio play on the same day in GWs 2 & 3. That is unless you plan to WC after GW1.

Settled on this unless something crazy happens in the remaining friendlies, and of course depending on France's starting lineup for the opener.

    Patricio - Kozacik
    Alba - Lichtsteiner - Dier - Giaccherini - Denayer
    Ozil - Payet - Perisic - Matuidi - Junuzovic
    Giroud - Morata - Mandzukic

Don't like that France triple up much, or the Croatian double up. My suggestions would be Morata to Nolita, Matuidi to KDB and Mandzukic to Kane, fwiw

Appreciate the feedback. Unless Matuidi starts as the holding midfielder I'm sticking to my guns with the France triple up. Also set on the Croatia double. Fancy them to score a few against the Turks and Czechs. Nolito could be a brilliant pick or it could end in tears. Morata seems safer to me.

On the "how did Schar get 3 assists in qualifying?" topic, according to transfermarkt they were all rebounded or blocked shots on goal. Now considering that he only had 6 shots in qualifying according to UEFA*, ask yourself how sustainable you think a rate of 2 goals and 3 assists from 6 shots is going to be?

one was in san marino game (he won a penalty)

        • 12 Years

        transfermarkt has listed:

1 vs Lithuania (goal: Drmic, assist: Schar header)
        Highlights: 2:38 in here: http://footballvideohighlights.com/euro-2016-qualification-lithuania-vs-switzerland-june-14-2015_36eaee98e.html

1 vs Slovenia (goal: Drmic, assist: Schar shot on goal)

2 vs San Marino (1 penalty won which doesn't count for UEFA FF and goal: Mehmedi, assist: Schar shot on goal)

    Sommer
    Bonucci - Schar - Ramos - Juanfran

    Muller - Giroud

"That would be nonsense, it's not as easy as that to tear a team away from their ingrained values and preferred formations.. It takes years, nay, decades to convert a devout 433 winger like our Jamie or Harry into a player capable of playing even the most basic level of football in a 442 system.. Plus, Wayne had a word with me and has promised me to dig me out of any holes I may or may not fall into while sticking to my guns."

OK, so a thought experiment for you good folk - which defenders would you pick if money was no barrier for the entire duration of the tournament (except say Alba/Ramos/Dier)?

I'm playing an auction and currently only have found Rodriguez and Hector

I'm looking for defenders to keep till the end of the Euros who may have some chance of attacking returns along with cleensheets? Alternatively, I don't mind banking cleansheets around the group stage too.

      My top 10:

Alba, Ramos, Juanfran, Rodriguez, Alderweireld, Boateng, Rose, Pique, Chiellini, Hector.

Pique's further down the list than the other 3 Spaniards due less goal threat, and I would have Hummels 5th or 6th if I knew he was going to be fit for the first two games.

        Amazing Balders!

Can I ask you one more question - any goal scoring midfielders I maybe aware of?

The only ones I really have Ramsey/Hamsik.

For the purpose of the auction I see no point going for strikers given that the top scoring striker last time had 5. (The points system we play with affords midfielders 50% more points - making them more worth my time)

Here's a few I like the look of alongside the couple you mentioned:

Payet (Fra), Alli (Eng), Gotze (Ger), Grosicki (Pol), KdB (Bel), Junuzovic & Alaba (Aus), Dzsudzsak (Hun), Sigurdsson (Ice)

Of course with Dzsudzsak and Siggy there's a worry of how long their countries will last but I hope that gives you a starting point.

Weakest attacking teams in qualifying (all scored less than 1.5 goals per game):

      Albania (0.88); Romania (1.1); Wales (1.1); Hungary (1.2); Portugal (1.4); Turkey (1.4); Ukraine (1.4).

Albania and Romania are both in Group A along with Switzerland and France. That looks like a good clean sheet opportunity for Swiss and French defenders. Koscielny, Schär.

Hungary and Portugal are both in Group F along with Iceland and Austria. That looks like a good clean sheet opportunity for Icelandic and Austrian defenders. R. Sigurdsson, Fuchs.

I just want to say that lots of teams had qualifying groups with a really bad side like Gibraltar, San Marino etc.

Portugal had the small group and therefore did not have one of the really bad sides in it. This will have affected their goal output

            Portugal 0-1 Albania
            Portugal 1-0 Armenia
            Albania 0-1 Portugal
            Portugal 1-0 Denmark

I think so yes. Wilmots named him in his preferred back 4 the other day:

"Even with all these injured players, I have a defence with Toby Alderweireld, Jason Denayer, Thomas Vermaelen and Jan Vertonghen. It's not too bad after all," Wilmots said.

I have a niggling bad feeling about Giroud, like he won't be as nailed as we expect.. But then again, I keep putting him back in my team 😛 Morata / Millik / Shaqiri could all do well.

    Evening all.

This is the first draft of my Euro 2016 team.

Are there any obvious mistakes? Any glaring omissions?

    Sommer // Rui Patricio
    Juanfran // Hector // Dier // Mangala // Denayer
    Perisic // Fabregas // Junuzovic // Alli // Mak
    Ronaldo // Muller // Giroud

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have a very similar team:

      Patricio/Sommer

      Hector-Mangala-Schar-Vrsaljko-Denayer

      Mak-Alli-KDB-Fabregas-Rafa Silva

      Muller-Giroud-Ronaldo

Looks like you have doubled up on the Swiss defence. I have opted to split my defensive options across more teams. Switzerland have two very good opening fixtures for their defence. So I guess this is done to personal preference.

I don't think Rafa Silva is a guaranteed starter. Do you have £0.5 in the bank? If so, you could upgrade to a guaranteed starter?

I do like the inclusion of KDB. I feel like my team is missing an explosive midfielder like him. I am expecting their first game against Italy to be tough for their attack. In predicting their group to be low scoring. But a great captaincy option

Doubling up on swiss defence is a no risk strategy no? they play at the beginning of each game-week so you can simply sub them out.

Seems good - solid squad. I am of the mind that there are too many concerns with Denayer that you may be well off to look elsewhere. Not a huge fan of Dier either, but there is certainly some value there. Nothing glaring by my eye.

    Members area question here.

On a players profile, is there any way of getting a GW by GW breakdown for things like shots, passes etc, or is it just the ICT Index stuff?

    Cheers in advance.

You pretty much have to use the filters. Last game, 2 games - last game, gets the last 2 match stats. Last 4 games gets the other 2 but together.

        Ok.

So if I want a passing percentage for all 38 GW from a player I have to reload the page for every single GW? There no table or anything to get around this.

So at the moment i'm looking at Bellerín and i'd like to know his passing stats for each individual gameweek so I can work out his BPS contributing from passing.

At the moment, I have to look at every individual gameweek to collect this data.
Is there anywhere where I can get a Gameweek breakdown, like this one but for passing?

“Key Contribution” or “KC” (in relation to scoring points) means when one of your selected players makes a significant contribution to a goal scored by his football club; from the Telegraph game.

No. Chance created is a key pass. Key contribution is an assist or hockey assist contributing to a goal.

    Any input on this bunch?

    Patricio / Berisha
    Hector / Pique / Rodriguez / Chester/ Vrsaljko
    KDB / Calhanoglu / Payet / Alli / Junuzovic
    Muller / Giroud / Nolito

    0.0

I've really confused myself about this Kane/Giroud/Nolito/Morata love quadrangle. Happy to downgrade Pique to Juanfran or someone or other if needs be.

I prefer Kozacik to Berisha. I feel like Hinteregger is maybe the best 4.5 option at this point and I'd put him in for one of Chester or the Croatian boy. Nolito is quite the punt but it could come off. I still am too concerned with his nailedness to seriously consider him myself though. They have so many different options I'd rather get someone safer. Taking hits at -4 with no bonus points is absurdly bad so setting up to avoid that at all costs seems good. I'd also want that third striker to be a cap option which you don't currently have at least for GW1 with Spain playing same day as KDB.

      Kozacik > Berisha for me.

      Denayer > Chester for me.

Juanfran > Pique for the saving.

Payet only if he starts in the opener.

Despite his current form I don't think Nolito is guaranteed to start. Other options in this price bracket are more guaranteed. Slight downgrades in midfielder allow players like Shaqiri into your team.

It looks like Pedro vs Nolito for Spain, but if Nolito gets the nod he will be playing out wide anyway so you should try stretch for Morato instead

Alli won't be a great asset if he's kept out wide. Either Kane plays lone striker with Alli behind him or Hodgson should go with Vardy/Rashford with Sturridge.

Seems a coin flip to me...I can't see much in the way of tipping in favor of either I think they are both good shouts in general. I'd maybe lean Perisic if only for thinking Turkey has a worse defense but I'm not even sure that is the case. I've got both in my team, anyway.....

I was just thinking maybe we should discount goals scored against the really weak teams when qualifying. Do goals against Gibraltar, Andorra, San Marino etc really count as much for the purposes going forward?

If you take Germany's goals against Gibraltar off then they only scored 13 goals in qualifying which is only 2 goals more than Portugal.

Add to that that Ronaldo missed some of Portugals qualifying matches and maybe Ronaldo is actually more effective than the German forwards?

Spain have impressed me lately and seem to be scoring a fair bit too.

Germany have been struggling a bit recently and Portugal seem to often fall short in the big tournaments

Also CR7 scoring record in previous Euros and World Cups ain't that great.

If you discount Spains Biggest wins against Luxembourg they would have 15 goals from qualifying. I just think that things are a bit closer than they first appear when you look at some of this stuff

still though that's more goals than Portugal and Germany and Morato costs 3.5 less than CR7

also Spain have been scoring high in friendlies

I know it's a much of a muchness but people seem to be confident that Germany and Portugal have goals in them. Portugal are a defensive side, albeit CR7 will be their main source of goals, I still don't think they will score many overall.

I think getting one of say Muller or CR7 makes sense but getting both ruins your team and I think there are plenty of great striker options at 8.5 who could easily match the so called 'big guns'

I agree with you really I think. Stats for this competition are different to FPL though aren't they? In FPL all the teams play against the same sides albeit in a different order so the stats are very comparable in Euro qualifying they play against different teams so the stats are not so directly comparable and some of the groups have less player making it even more misleading.

I haven't signed back up for membership yet but was wondering if members, when creating their tables, have considered that winning pens are now an automatic 2 pts. Even if they aren't converted, I believe the player who won the penalty (which can be the pk taker) still gets the 2 pts vs getting 3 pts for an assist. Also players who give away pens are deducted pts now

OK you could do a half decent team with Ronaldo - Zlatan - Lewandoski front line imo. How about:

    Sommer - Patricio
    Vrsaljko - Lindelöf - Denayer - Guerreiro - Mavraj
    Mak - Grosicki - Junuzovic - Perišić - Kroos
    Ibrahimović - Lewandowski - Ronaldo

    Boom!

they seem shaky but i would hope they would be more focused during the EC, teams generally become more conservative as well. i would think teams like albania and romania to be too busy trying to lock down a 0-0 and get points off each other.

who would be your pick? alba seems too pricey and the wings not too nailed.

Looks pretty tidy and well rounded. I'd upgrade Lindelof with the funds.

Guerreiro makes me nervous even though he does seem to be first choice at the moment. Rest seems fine.
