Our Rate My Team tool and the associated Projections enjoyed an extensive update overnight as we applied tweaked player appearance probabilities based on the pre-season matches.

Further updates are planned today once Andre Ayew is moved to the West Ham squad and Paul Pogba arrives in the game.

We will also be updating the team attack and defence ratings based on the current bookmaker market trends.

Indeed, both Rate My Team and the Projections are likely to be tweaked on a daily basis as further team news breaks over the week. If you’re using these tools, be sure to check back each day to see how the changes reflect on your current selections.

If you’re not using these tools and are wondering how they can help you, we’ve got an FAQ on both of them here.

Meanwhile, late last week we created an updated movie previewing both Rate My Team and the Projections.

        Ok. I still don't think they'll buy both Evans and Mustafi, so if Evans signs, he's nailed on at least until Gab is back from injury, and possible starter even after it if it works well between him and Kos. And many will have played their wildcards before Gab is back anyway.

      Has he yet returned from his holidays? How long do you think it will take from him to be really ready to play full minutes? There surely are 2-3 GW's at least when Evans should be the first name in the defence line. Mustafi has missed the pre-season as well hasn't he? So Evans would be the only match ready CB at Arsenal, except for Chambers and Holding.

PALACE IN TALKS FOR BENTEKE

Crystal Palace are in talks to sign Christian Benteke from Liverpool. Palace have returned to the negotiating table after their £25m bid was turned down last month.

Liverpool value the striker at £32m, and believe that is fair considering the prices currently being paid for players by Premier League clubs.

Palace are keen to complete the deal before their first game of the season against West Brom on Saturday.
