Rate My Team Update & Preview Movie

Our Rate My Team tool and the associated Projections enjoyed an extensive update overnight as we applied tweaked player appearance probabilities based on the pre-season matches.

Further updates are planned today once Andre Ayew is moved to the West Ham squad and Paul Pogba arrives in the game.

We will also be updating the team attack and defence ratings based on the current bookmaker market trends.

Indeed, both Rate My Team and the Projections are likely to be tweaked on a daily basis as further team news breaks over the week. If you’re using these tools, be sure to check back each day to see how the changes reflect on your current selections.

If you’re not using these tools and are wondering how they can help you, we’ve got an FAQ on both of them here.

Meanwhile, late last week we created an updated movie previewing both Rate My Team and the Projections.

      Only concern would be Lukaku's heel and Miki's lack of fitness meaning they're not playing, or have restricted minutes, in GW1.

    Never have gone big on a defence at the start of a season but reckon that doesn't look too bad at the back.

      I'd wait on Sanchez, potential lack of fitness plus tricky fixtures.
      Also Hazard and Costa is a lot of money on double up with no Man U cover.

    Players no longer fashionable on here since the prices came out (it seems):

    Bolasie (Townsend now cool)
    Tadic (Redmond the alternative pick)
    Siggy (Swansea no longer hip to the groove)
    Eriksen (Alli/Lamela, the latter in particular having a good pre-season)
    Lukaku/Costa (Fear of not owning Ibra has taken hold and Kane seems popular despite price hike and being bang out of form)

    Just my tuppence worth.

    I had 3 Swansea in my team a day or 2 ago... now i'm thinking I might not go with any.

    Ayew gone, Gylfi doubtful... and whyyyy would they sell Williams?! £12m gets them nothing in the market nowadays, it's meangingless monopoly money at this stage

    Final draft, think I'm finally ready for Saturday after a lot of mixing it up in midfield..

    Lamela chosen over Eriksen based on pre-season, slight feeling Janssen might start in a 442.

    Tadic over Redmond due to guaranteed start. Like the look of Redmond, especially at 6m, but who really knows if he'll play! I have already have one punt with Stones. And one is enough.

    I desperately need a RMT! Is rooney a stupid pick? I won't have any united switch out with one transfer if he starts badly, unlike if I picked ibra, martial, mhitkaryan etc. but they are not all fully fit and guaranteed mins.

    Everyone seems to think Amat is nailed on, I'm not so convinced actually. Hoping we'll know more after the presser. Woud love to hear some more about the whole Bertrand - Targett thing too, 4.5 for a nailed Saints defender would be nice
