Our Rate My Team tool and the associated Projections enjoyed an extensive update overnight as we applied tweaked player appearance probabilities based on the pre-season matches.

Further updates are planned today once Andre Ayew is moved to the West Ham squad and Paul Pogba arrives in the game.

We will also be updating the team attack and defence ratings based on the current bookmaker market trends.

Indeed, both Rate My Team and the Projections are likely to be tweaked on a daily basis as further team news breaks over the week. If you’re using these tools, be sure to check back each day to see how the changes reflect on your current selections.

Meanwhile, late last week we created an updated movie previewing both Rate My Team and the Projections.

      Slightly I'd say, but if your teams in good shape its fine. There's not a set budget you can spend on your defenders.

      For many yes it will be, but I have nearly spent as much as you. I've chosen players who typically have more chance of scoring goals. Dann / Dawson / Funes Mori / Van Aanholt.

      Of course the cost of having lot of money tied up in defence is less to spend in more attacking areas.

      Looks that way. Formidable in the air, v susceptible to pace in behind. May play back 3 sometimes too I'd guess with a quicker younger centre half. Koeman does that against bigger teams it seems.

        I wonder who's going to play against the Spurs, though...if the transfer doesn't happen before the weekend Everton will have to face Spurs with Jagielka and Mori, otherwise they'll have to play with Mori and a new CB who hasn't even trained properly with the rest of the team(of course Koeman could still play a youngster).

        He'll not take as many set pieces as you might think.

        Lukaku, Barkley, Mirallas, Deulofeu all likely to step up to anything around the box.

        I've gone with Coleman based on the greater potential from open play

    How many times have we started gw1 with new signings and failed? About 99% of the time....

    Stones gonna drop 0.5 after gw1, why would he play? He doesn't even have time to get his name printed on a shirt before the league starts...

    someone pls explain why you think he's nailed...and forget about the transfer fee...the transfer fee doesn't matter, as we have seen multiple times

          Figured best to start with big hitters - Ibra, Kun, Hazard, Firmino - allows plenty of room for maneuver to jump out of a sinking ship/onto a bandwagon!

          Also think Barkley is being overlooked big time - solid stats from previous seasons and will only improve, will play behind Lukaku, and decent opening fixtures (Spurs aside)

      I'm on Funes Mori at the moment. Difficult to tell how good their defence will be though. I'm also considering Moreno. Liverpool can be absolutely awful at the back, but could be a good punt.

      Like the keepers and forwards. Maybe downgrade in midfield a bit though and upgrade the defence. Maybe Mkhi to Tadic as you have ibra. Thats a defence thats 2.0 better off.

    Now I understand why everyone was ranting about the arrow clicking to sort out our team rotations in the ticker.

    Could the arrow at least have been made to stay at one place like on the side of the "Sort_By_Difficulty" button? Would be infinitely more usable that way. Right now I have to follow around to click the arrows like chasing a rabbit on my fat legs. I can't yet get Siri to do that for me, can I?
