Rate My Team Update & Preview Movie

Our Rate My Team tool and the associated Projections enjoyed an extensive update overnight as we applied tweaked player appearance probabilities based on the pre-season matches.

Further updates are planned today once Andre Ayew is moved to the West Ham squad and Paul Pogba arrives in the game.

We will also be updating the team attack and defence ratings based on the current bookmaker market trends.

Indeed, both Rate My Team and the Projections are likely to be tweaked on a daily basis as further team news breaks over the week. If you’re using these tools, be sure to check back each day to see how the changes reflect on your current selections.

Meanwhile, late last week we created an updated movie previewing both Rate My Team and the Projections.

    Who to get as 4th mid? Townsend/Deulofeu at 6.5, Redmond/Bojan/Bolasie at 6.0 or Ramirez/Fisher/Ibe/Gradel/Phillips/Feghouli at 5.5? My head hurts.

    Redmond up front, but a risk. Bojan on penalties for a decent team, but not the best fixtures. Play it safe with Townsend maybe?

    Does Sanchez + Willian compensate for not having Hazard? Feel like it's one of either Sanchez/Hazard if you're going for Ibra and Aguero.

        If 2nd half of last season is anything to go by some of liverpools best games came against bigger clubs. Also more chance Firmino will play as the false 9 for these.

    Burning question - How nailed on is Redmond to start? Good pre season but will he be an impact sub???

        because he wont bring in many points? 8.5 isn't exactly a lot when compared to some other mids.

          Firmino is priced at 8.5 and aside from being one of the best advanced midfielders in the world he's also one of the best finishers in the PL. He's a great goalscorer and he's clearly underpriced, but Pogba at 8.5 is absolutely insane. 1M more and you get Martial who's a forward or Mkhitaryan who last season scored 23 goals and 32 assists if i'm correct.

      He isn't. Doesn't score all that much, will be playing well behind, won't be taking set pieces.

      I only put him in my team to increase the % of teams with him, so they crash, but I'm taking him out before the deadline.

    Since it seems Palace has accepted the £25M bid from Everton for Bolasie, where would he play in Koeman's midfield? I guess at that price he'd be nailed on on the left flank with Barkley central AM and Deulofeu/Mirallas on the right?

        Was looking at this. 5th mid is usually a bench warmer. If you made your 3rd striker a bench warmer instead you can have quite a tasty midfield.

    Anyone got any ideas how Everton might line up with Williams, Kone, Bolasie? Someone said earlier they might line up with 3 at the back (Kone,Williams,Mori) and play wing backs? (Baines, Coleman)

    Doesn't make sense to have so many wide players Deulofeu, Bolasie, Mirallas, Lennon if you are going to play wing backs.

    I was hoping for 4,2,3,1 with Barkley as the number 10 behind Lukaku. (worried Barkley owner, i wanted Everton attacking cover due to good early fixtures)

    Anyone thinking 3-5-2 and putting extra money into midfield?

    5th mid is usually a bench warmer (4.5). If you made your 3rd striker a bench warmer instead (4.5) you can have quite a tasty midfield.

    Plus looking back at past year's results. The top midfielders tend to bring in more points than the top strikers by the end of season.
