Our Rate My Team tool and the associated Projections enjoyed an extensive update overnight as we applied tweaked player appearance probabilities based on the pre-season matches.

Further updates are planned today once Andre Ayew is moved to the West Ham squad and Paul Pogba arrives in the game.

We will also be updating the team attack and defence ratings based on the current bookmaker market trends.

Indeed, both Rate My Team and the Projections are likely to be tweaked on a daily basis as further team news breaks over the week. If you’re using these tools, be sure to check back each day to see how the changes reflect on your current selections.

Meanwhile, late last week we created an updated movie previewing both Rate My Team and the Projections.

    With Williams on his way out of Swansea, will Amat see more game time? Saw he featured a bit during pre-season. Currently have Pieters/Friend, wondering if Stones/Amat (or another 4.0 that isn't Paredes) is worth it, or is a tinker too far.

          I reckon he will. The Swans fans are just judging vd Hoorn on a couple of pre-season games at a new team. He is a good player, a leader and a decent replacement for Williams

      I think Amat is the most likely starter of the 4.0 - but you've got to ask yourself, do you really want a Swansea defender 🙂

      Amat is going in for me, had conceded no 4.0 players would play but he looks a decent bet for at least 1-2 weeks. If he impresses then could work out ok. Rather him than someone who blatantly isn't going to get a sniff.

      I had Lenihan as my 5th defender, going to switch to Amat instead, but doubt I will play him that often.

      i'm sure he will end up being a first pick but for now it's difficult to tell. Are Jagielka / Funes not both injured though? Kone coming in too by the sounds of things. Williams is certainly someone I would want, if Koeman replicates defensive solidity as at Southampton, Williams will hoover up the points.

      Silva is too reluctant to shoot at times, even when he's closest to goal. I'd take KDB.

    Repost due to no reply:
    What are the chances of Batshuayi starting alongside Costa this season? Very hard to tell what system Conte will opt to use, because with Willian, Hazard, Costa, Oscar than 2 of either Kante Matic and Fabregas...Guess if they play 4-2-4 he could replace Oscar but he is on decent form at the moment.

        I was thinking about it but I do like his attacking threat. He's scoring goals and making goals as well and Spurs have been threat on set pieces last term

        This. I'm a Spurs fan and I really doubt Toby is worth it.

        I'd also consider Gradel > Capoue. You'll always play Gray and Long over him anyway, so he'll sit on your bench.

      Downgrade Adrian to 4.5m GK (Foster, Mannone, Heaton,...) and Alderweireld to someone else (another Spurs def, Monreal, Azpilicueta). Or just downgrade Gradel to a 4.5m mid

    I really don't think that Williams is going to start GW1.

    If you take the risk and he does, he's playing TOT so chances are he'll get 2 points max.

    If he doesn't, you could be looking at a 0.1 or maybe even 0.2 price drop.

    Wait and see on Williams, Stones is the 5.0 to get now.

        I do, but I reckon he'll start the first 3 PL games so I'll just play him and see what happens. Don't expect and cameo appearances anyway so I reckon my bench can help me out.

      Mostly agree, but I'd avoid any of the transfers going through this week or next, including Stones. Make sure your defenders are nailed for the first few GWs. You'll want free transfers for midfielders/forwards.

      Morgan is the best 5.0 at the moment.

      P.S. I've ignored my own logic by picking Ayew.

      Pep loves doing rotations, so I'm not fully convinced he'll be playing week in, week out. As for Williams, I'll wait and see, Baines will suffice for the time being.

      a week or so ago they were in a lot of teams, just the fickle nature of pre-season and this site unfortunately. Feghouli will be impacted by return of Payet & Lanzini and arrival of Ayew. Hojbjerg I think people got excited about then realised he was actually a defensive midfielder. if i was more of a nerd than I am, I'd have loved to have taken a sample of say 10 RMTs every day over the past 3 weeks and looked at how the "template" team has changed in that time.

        I'm not sure if Payet will start GW1 so I feel like Feghouli is a good option in that sense. That is a good point about Hojbjerg that I actually hadn't considered so maybe I'll have to look into that now, thank you

    Why all the Gradel love, yes he had good stats in France but since then he has had 2 ACL (long term injuries). Surely Ibe is the better option

    With Mike Phelan staying in charge of Hull does this make Diomande an fwd option at 4.5?
