Dugout Discussion – Hull vs Leicester

Spare a thought for Mike Phelan.

Already the Hull City caretaker manager seems to be unfurling the white flag, even before Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez get their first run at his patched-up defence.

The first Dugout Discussion of the Premier League season could witness one of the most one-sided opening fixtures in memory.

Champions Leicester turn up at the KCOM Stadium off the back of the FA Community Shield defeat to Manchester United but surely still brimming with confidence and optimism following the triumphant campaign.

Certainly they bring plenty of talent and pace – heightened by the presence of Ahmed Musa and Demarai Gray on their teamsheet. That might just prove too much, even for a spirited Hull City showing.

Stranger things have happened, though. Just ask Claudio Ranieri.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Just me or can you not view a detailed breakdown of a game like you could before?

Hmmm, I've avoided Mahrez this season as I did for a long while the start of last season, pity he's so dear, I just can't see him scoring the points for that price in a full season, but then again, maybe Leinster will be the same as last year? So many questions all unanswered.

If Leinster win the premier league soccer that would be a major shock 🙂

Mahrez cost us two wins in two games when he was on pens last season. That's why he was dropped from them. Might be a gift to stop him leaving...

Very strange decision by Rani. Would've thought you gave it to your striker to get going.
