Attentions now turn to the Etihad where Pep Guardiola makes his Premier League bow.

David Moyes’ Sunderland are the guests and potential party poopers, although the odds do seem stacked against them.

The Black Cats are in transition under their new manager, while City boast such attacking riches there can be no doubt that they head into today’s clash as overwhelming favourites.

Expectant Fantasy managers will be looking to Sergio Aguero to capitlise – the Argentine heads into the teatime kick-off as the most popular captain choice in the Gameweek and with over 40% ownership.

        He was abysmal, but I had Negredo in last night and swapped him for Gray last minute. Think the GW1 emotions got to me. Poor FPL discipline.

      But who? I own him and was disappointed today, but he had some chances and no other striker has really impressed this week. Unless someone looks impressive tomorrow or Monday, I'm holding. A carried transfer will be useful for GW3.

        exact same thinking... annoying he isn't on pens and that does lessen his appeal but 2 FT for GW 3 would be nice to see who stands out and potentially allow to upgrade a Mid like Townsend to someone like Payet/ Pogba or Firming Im thinking....

    Feeling distinctly underwhelmed by today's games, but can't complain about 41 points with three three to play. Wasn't last year's opening weekend a bit flat for non Leicester owners? I seem to remember getting something like 30 points and being grateful for a Rooney(c) assist. No big scorers out there yet this week.
