It’s fair to say that Sergio Aguero’s three-match suspension has changed the landscape across Fantasy games as we look for solutions to the Argentine’s enforced absence.

For many Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers, wildcards have been the order of the day, allowing us to distribute funds across the midfield and forward positions whilst penciling in plans for the Argentine’s return in Gameweek 6.

Having assessed some of the most impressive mid-price midfielders and forwards in separate articles earlier in the week, we now look to the premium options in both categories, seeking out the form options and highlighting some overlooked alternatives.

          Ok. Well it's just personal preference but I'd prefer a bench that are playing regularly at the very least. I'd downgrade one of your starters and upgrade Grabban and Leko to the likes of Barrow/Capoue.

          Pickford's place may be under threat from their new keeper. Lamela is so so as a fantasy asset

      Replace Baines for collins or Masuaku. Lamela might not play and if he does won't play 90 min, Velencia, Stones, Shaw overkill can't see many pts there, see goals in Man Utd Man City game for sure.

        Isn't lamela a good option for long term though? Agreed I'm worried about the Manchester derby for that reason but also see them as longer term options

        The only certain thing is if you are unsure about Sanchez you will sell him very soon for funds....I bet you many quids that as quick as you get him you will experiment with what you could do with the extra money if you transfer him out.

        Cheers for the input everyone. One thing I always manage to do is get my ownership of Sanchez wrong (eg removed before Lei last year where he went on a run of 3, 2 and 1 goals the following weeks)! I will ponder this one until the deadline

        Further to be question about Holebas being nailed on the last page, I would also suggest any members looking for a defender take a look at his stats over the first 3 GWs in comparison to other defenders that we would consider very attacking such as van Aanholt... Makes for interesting reading 🙂

        I know a few posts have already discussed a WC team with both Ozil & Sanchez. If analyzing both of these players prices to other comparable fantasy assets, and integrating Arsenals highly favorable upcoming schedule for the next 7 weeks, it would be hard not to argue considering form and fixtures these two players are possibly the current best buy at 9.5 & 11.0 midfield options. But doubling up on any team is the reason not to. However;

        A) If either of the two most capable midfielders begin to explode over the next few weeks: Mane (8.9) & Payet (9.4), Ozil (9.6) can be easily transferred to either.

        B) If Sanchez stops exploding, his sale can easily fund buying back aguerro.

            I fancy this when Sanchez is downgraded to Antonio in a couple of weeks but do you really think the GK/defence can hold up until March or whatever when the next WC is? Obviously there are transfers between now and then but I'd like to keep them to a minimum in defence ideally.
