Dugout Discussion – Tottenham vs Sunderland

A busy Sunday of football comes to its conclusion at White Hart Lane as Spurs and Sunderland go head-to-head in the 4.30pm kick-off.

The hosts’ 4-0 win over Stoke last weekend boosted out faith in the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli, yet their midweek Champions League loss to Monaco at Wembley suggests Mauricio Pochettino’s side have yet to hit top gear.

Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela owners are left cursing their luck after the duo were named amongst the subs, with Mousa Dembele returning to the XI following a six-match suspension.

Certainly, the home side will be buoyed by their visitors’ second-half capitulation at home to Everton on Monday night.

The Black Cats have yet to win under David Moyes and, considering their current form, may well be lucky to avoid a repeat of the 4-1 reverse in the corresponding fixture last season.

    Bottomed: Quick question guys. Worth Haz & Ibra > Aguero & Mane with my 2FT's?

    Team would then be:

    Heaton
    Evans - Baines - Valencia
    Mirallas - Sanchez - Mane - Antonio
    Benteke - Aguero - Lukaku
    ____________________________
    Robinson: Capoue, Masuaku, Amat

    Mirallas can then become Snodgrass the week after, as can Masuaku > Holebas etc.

    Sound ok? Any help much appreciated.

        cool cheers for replying man, yeah, Hazard dropped last night but thankfully doesn't affect selling price, i still might go Firmino as yet also as both are great options, and saves money in the process.

        Watched Janssen an entire season in the eredivisie. He isn't as bad as you think. For instance he single-handedly beat Feyenoord with a hattrick. Man Utd couldn't get one past their goalie. A United B-team isn't worse than AZ. Also, with Kane injured and Eriksen rotated/missing his last penalty for denmark, he might be on penalties. He scored 12 in his carreer and never missed one. 4 of those were for AZ when he became a contender for the golden boot in Holland, which he got despite only netting his first goal in GW8. So their might be more similarities between Kane and Janssen than you think. He won't be the next RvP, but he actually is one of the few bright spots in the Holland squad. He'll probably become something like a new Dirk Kuyt but as a typical striker.

      This is so funny.

      Lamela should have like 3 goals and an assist. Instead he has 1 point and blocks Friend coming on.

      For many it's obviously Capoue who he's blocking.
