Dugout Discussion – Watford vs Man United

Sunday treats us to four matches, kicking off with a noon encounter at Vicarage Road between Watford and Man United.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic carries the armband hopes of many Fantasy managers heading into this one – the Swede narrowly topped this week’s Captain Poll off the back of four goals in as many matches.

Etienne Capoue has the chance to prove himself worthy of a fourth midfielder slot today. Having scored against Southampton, Chelsea and West Ham, the Frenchman is set for a favourable run of matches that could bring in the points.

Similarly, Odion Ighalo, Troy Deeney and Jose Holebas are also under the spotlight after all three got amongst the goals in last week’s comeback win over the Hammers.

    How is Fellaini selected ahead of Schneiderlin/Blind/Carrick
    is mind boggling...

    Fellaini constantly gives the ball away to the opposition....putting Utd's defence under pressure..

    Rooney's problem, is he runs around like a headless chicken,
    he should be concentrating on feeding Ibrahimovic..

    Capouet 4th mid for me over the next 4 or 5 games. Great way to get Aguero back. A simple Hazard to Barry shift. No hits. Assume many others doing the same?

      Don't go as cheap as Barry because it makes it difficult to get a good midfield is Capoue stops scoring.

          He is but the point is that the other potential 4th mids are all priced £1m higher than Capoue. If he stops scoring then you'll have to take a few hits to get a replacement.

    Obvious that Zlatan needs to get better service/touch the ball more. From games I have seen, he just isn't integrated nearly enough. He virtually goes missing for long stretches. Team dynamic is off. That's for sure.

      I agree our team is playing rubbish atm, but Ibra is playing exactly as Ibra has always played.

      He's not a player that gets that involved, rather he just converts half chances that pop up.

      He was unlucky today and should have had 2 goals with a side netting miss he would normally bury and another denied by a great Gomes save.

      I'm not worried about Ibra at all. He'll score goals regardless of how well or poorly the rest of the team is playing.

      I'm actually happy that others are going to be selling him to be honest. 🙂
