Next up this Friday itโ€™s time for our pre-Gameweek members article, offering insight on the armband conundrum for the upcoming round of fixtures.

Weโ€™ll take a look at the main contenders in this weekโ€™s Captain Poll, analyse the Opta numbers and check up on the Rate My Team ratings before offering up a couple of differential options in light of the data analysis.

The Captain Poll

Sergio Aguero dominates the Gameweek 6 Captain Poll after serving out a three-match suspension against Swansea in the EFL Cup on Wednesday evening.

With nine goals in five appearances in all competitions under Pep Guardiola, thereโ€™s no surprise to see the City striker emerge as favourite for the armband, with over 48% of the votes cast so far ahead of his visit to the Liberty.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku have battled it out for runners-up spot all week, with the United man just edging it by 10% to 8%.

Expected to return to full training today after a minor toe injury, Lukaku racked up 29 points in Agueroโ€™s two-Gameweek absence and travels to a Bournemouth outfit that have managed a single clean sheet so far.

Ibrahimovic faces a tougher task, though, as United welcome champions Leicester to Old Trafford. The big Swede has netted three times in two home appearances, whilst Claudio Ranieriโ€™s men have lost both their away matches so far.

Liverpoolโ€™s home encounter with Hull brings Roberto Firmino (6%), Sadio Mane (3%) and Philippe Coutinho (2%) into contention as major differentials. Jurgen Kloppโ€™s side are in devastating form in the final third and will fancy their chances against a defence thatโ€™s just shipped four at home to Arsenal.

Kevin De Bruyne has racked up returns in four successive Gameweeks and offers an in-form City alternative for those who are brave enough to overlook Aguero.

Rested for the midweek cup win over Swansea, Raheem Sterling has just 1% of the votes as he looks to serve up a third double-figure haul in four.

Etienne Capoue has also been selected by 1% for Watford’s trip to Burnley on Monday evening. The Frenchman has risen to the top of the Fantasy Premier League player standings on the back of some fixture-proof performances that have seen him score against Southampton, Chelsea, West Ham and Man United in the first five Gameweeks.

Dimitri Payet (four assists in the last two) and five-goal Michail Antonio also continue to remain under the radar as West Ham entertain a Southampton side that have lost both their roads trips so far.

Is now too early to wildcard?

My current shitty team, that so far hasn't disappointed me too much

    Heaton/Foster
    Walker Friend Williams Valencia Pieters
    Capoue Hazard Sanchez Firmino Redmond
    Ibra Defoe Gray.

    Thoughts?

It would take you two months worth of transfers to get a template team. I would wildcard..

I'd say it's too late this GW. You want to do it at the beginning of a week to try and catch some price rises

As you can see. No Man City cover. It is near impossible to get aguero in without doing 3 transfers :/

I have heard many people saying Jakupovic won't keep his place this week. I am on a WC and could do with the extra cash having him provides. I could also do with 2 playing GKs.

The post I saw earlier linked a Hull news page, and the article seemed to be opinion rather than fact or quotes saying Marshall is in now.

How dangerous is the Jakupovic pick now? It would be really harsh to drop him, but Marshall is clearly a better all round player.

My laptop has taken a few 4 point hits over the years with repairs. There is still a slightly damaged port and it is fairly slow. I have done all the tweaks you can think of to make it faster.
But a cracked screen (I don't know how it happened - crack caused a leaf shape on the bottom of the screen and long scratch upon it - I have my suspects! ๐Ÿ™‚ ) is the final straw for this laptop).

I assume there are lots of techies that use this site. I was just wondering what is the best affordable laptop. Just general use but fairly speedy if possible.

I was looking at the ACER Aspire E15 E5-573. 8G of ram and decent storage.

I was wondering if there is any better ones I should be considering?

A lot of options in that bracket, but I would consider a model like Asus Zenbook UX303 (or UX305 if you can afford it). Great quality and performance. You should at least buy a computer with SSD hard drive and 8GB of RAM.

      Sergio Aguero.

His record away from home since the start of the 2014 season:

      Games - 29
      Goals - 23
      Assists - 6
'Hauls' - 8 (At least two attacking returns plus)

Only 10 blanks, returns points in over 65% of away games. Clutch.
