Gameweek 9 gets underway this lunchtime as in-form Bournemouth welcome Tottenham Hotspur to the Vitality Stadium.

Eddie Howe’s side warmed up for this one with a 6-1 hammering of Hull City last weekend and have now won each of their last three home fixtures.

The hosts are without Junior Stanislas, however, after the winger – who bagged two goals and a pair of assists against the Tigers – was ruled out with a calf injury.

Callum Wilson and Charlie Daniels have also been subject to increased Fantasy Premier league interest this week ahead of clashes against ‘Boro, Sunderland and Stoke in the subsequent three.

Spurs are without the injured Toby Alderweireld after the Belgian was forced off against West Brom last weekend.

A goalless draw against Bayern Leverkusen means the north London side have chalked up a clean sheet in five of the last seven in all competitions, boosting their chances of extending an unbeaten start to the Premier League campaign.

Son Heung-Min’s owners will also be keeping a keen eye on today’s encounter. Having earned over 328,000 transfers in prior to Gameweek 8, the South Korean was utilised as a late sub at the Hawthorns and was stationed on the left flank in Germany against his former club.

This time around, though, it looks like he will lead the line as Vincent Janssen drops to the bench.

With Leicester, Arsenal, West Ham and Chelsea directly after today’s fixture, a lack of returns could persuade Son’s 13% owners to reassess.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

    KDB, Sanchez, Son, Firmino, Sigurdsson.

This false no.9 thing is really taking off isn't it?

how long do they have to be playing there before they stop being "false" and are just "nines"?

      1. Pochecinno
        10 years, 4 days ago

They are not out-and-out strikers and don't play as such. So they'll always be 'false'. It's a smokescreen in terms of FPL though. The OOP thing is overplayed.

Just Kane surely. The rest appear to be out of choice.

Did Borja not play and score against Arsenal?

          Also, Llorente has been injured.

I reckon most teams going false 9 would be better suited with a striker tbh.

          1. Pochecinno
            10 years, 4 days ago

I agree they'd be better with a proper striker. Apart from Liverpool.

I actually think Pool would improve with the right striker as well, just they've been using this system longer and have adapted to it, which is fair.

                they're due a SOT player.
Long, Austin or Redmond to Anfield then?

                  10 years, 4 days ago

Redmond looks a shoe in to me.

Actually half expected them to go for Bertrand before they converted big Jimbo Milner into a LB.

              2. Pochecinno
                10 years, 4 days ago

Yep, that's probably what it is - that they've adapted to it. Sturridge looks lost when playing for Liverpool now. He needs to find another club. If I was Wenger...

I have a feeling i have got this wrong. Went Son over Walcot last week in the wildcard, and this week swapped Son for Walcot. Oh well, as long as Lloris and Walker do something, i won't feel as bad as i did last week (30 points on a wildcard)
