The Dugout Discussion – Liverpool vs West Bromwich Albion

A hugely frustating Saturday comes to its conclusion as Liverpool entertain West Bromwich Albion at Anfield.

The Reds’ run of four straight wins was halted by a dogged Man United display on Monday evening, though on the positive side, Jurgen Klopp’s side chalked up a first clean sheet of the season ahead of some very kind looking fixtures.

Bearing in mind that the Baggies have a single clean sheet in seven, owners of the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Adam Lallana will be optimistic of returns tonight. The latter returns to the starting line-up in Jurgen Klopp’s only change from the side that were frustrated by the Red Devils.

Four goals and two assists in five appearances makes Nacer Chadli the visitors’ danger man, whilst Ben Foster owners will be expecting a save point or two at least as he looks to repel the Reds’ attack.

Was a few seconds (Pickford) from a complete defensive shut out (Bellerin/Smith/Holebas). If that wasn't bad enough I should have played McAuley in a 4-3-3 formation.
I hate this game.

  If we have learnt juat one thing this season, it's that any 2 of Couts, Firmino, Mané is good enough.
  Coutinho does look better of the 3, so him and one other. Firmino is cheaper and probably more consistent, but Mané has potential to be explosive, at home anyway. Tough choice, any 2 of those 3 will do nicely. Especially with the upcoming fixtures

All my defenders bar Amat got cs's = Bellerin, Holebas, Pieters (Smith, Amat). I took a -16 hit this week & currently 45-16=29 with Aguero & Costa to play. I was relying on Sanchez (c) to go big but not to be. No need to take a hit this week so I'm rolling with this for gw10. 1ft & 0itb.
