The clocks are going back, the days are getting darker and Hallowe’en is nearly upon us.

All the more reason to let Paddy’s odds shine a light on the autumnal gloom and make the weekend’s football more treat than trick.

Before we dunk our heads in the watery bowl of clean sheet and anytime goalscorer odds, here’s the latest enhanced offers for new customers.

Chelsea travel to Southampton full of United-bashing beans. St Mary’s is not the easiest of places to win at, but you can get 7-1 on the Blues to do just that.

Liverpool winning at Palace looks a lot likelier. The Reds have already bagged three victories on the road, so 5-1 is generous indeed.

A visit to Sunderland holds no fears for anyone at the moment, and when you haven’t lost in the league since the opening day, you’d be excused for licking your lips at the prospect. Funnily enough, that’s Arsenal’s record at the moment. And even stranger, they’re off to Sunderland. Odds of 4-1 on a Gunners victory look almost criminally generous.

And if accumulators are your game, you can get 12-1 on United, Spurs, City and Liverpool all to win.

Be sure to check the terms and conditions on all those offers and, of course, we should state that all these specials are only available to those aged 18. If you’re going to wager, always gamble responsibly.

Seeing as he’s not even necessarily fit enough to play, Marcus Rashford is an eye-narrowing 1.61 to score against Burnley, while the usual suspects – Sergio Aguero (1.66), Alexis Sanchez (1.72) and Romelu Lukaku (1.72) – have odds on the sawn-off side of short.

Foxes never quit, and they don’t travel well either. Four matches, four losses and 13 goals conceded doesn’t bode well for Leicester’s trip to Spurs, but it does make Dele Alli (2.80) look good for a third goal in four league starts.

Arsenal blanked against Middlesbrough, but it will be a major surprise if they fall short at Sunderland. Mesut Ozil scored two in three before the Boro debacle, making his 3.30 price rather tasty.

Meanwhile, over in the ‘Really Wouldn’t Be Surprised’ category we have Christian Benteke at 2.75 to stick it to the Liverpool man who sold him, while 5.00 is good odds on Andre Gray returning from under his Twittery troll bridge to score at Old Trafford.

And a hefty 6.50 price makes a flutter on Yohan Cabaye worth considering. The French international played in a more advanced role against Leicester last time out and promptly scored his first goal of the season. He may even be on penalties…

CLEAN SHEET ODDS – GAMEWEEK 10

TeamOdds

Manchester City2.00
Arsenal2.20
Watford2.25
Tottenham2.29
Liverpool2.60
Everton2.75
Stoke City2.87
Chelsea3.00

There were nine clean sheets last weekend, which by this season’s standards is a festival of the defensive arts. This week there are some more shut-outs looking likely, and the odds reflect that all too well.

United sit at the top of our table, at 1.50, as they host a Burnley side who’ve managed just one goal in three away days so far. It’s hardly a nailed-on prospect though, not when Eric Bailly is definitely out and Chris Smalling a doubt.

As a result, you might want to look elsewhere. You can get 2.00 on Man City, but they’ve kept just the one clean sheet all season and, you know, John Stones.

So Arsenal (2.20) look the likeliest of the short-odds sides. They’ve blanked three of their last four league opponents and face a Sunderland attack currently displaying all the menace of a Mamma Mia convention.

Chelsea, at 3.00, also look good value. A trip to Southampton is tougher than a Chuck Norris box set, but the Saints have only scored more than one goal in a home league match once this season and Antonio Conte’s three at the back system looked to be up to speed against United last week.

In fact, this match has more than a hint of 0-0 about it, so Southampton at 3.60 is worth a look too.

Hmm, I'd be tempted to do it, yeah. I think if Wally doesn't play a lot of people will sell him on, meaning you could be susceptible to a price drop, plus he has 2 less good upcoming fixtures. Coutinho has a really sweet run. Definitely worth doubling up for it. I've got RF and Lallana - think having 2 MFs in that team means that you have a 50% chance (cos you own 2 of Lallana RF Cout Mane) that your players will be involved as that midfield is really firing at the moment. Bad math I'm sure but hey 😉

Awkward price bracket! Maybe Chadli and pocket the difference for other transfers? Chadders is always dangerous when he plays, very direct, could nick a goal vs. a fragile City defence today. Plus Burnley home in 2 weeks' time as part of an ok trio of fixtures (hul WAT)... you'd just be getting him slightly ahead of the curve 🙂

      Toss up really, bro.

To speak up for Bobby, I have had Firmino since my WC because he creates chances and scores. Plus he's slightly more nailed than Cout - remember over the last season's DGW Firmino played the majority whereas Cout was rested for a game. Klopp loves Bobby.

I also think Coutinho relies on goals scored from shots outside the box too much for my liking - he does score more and more frequently, of course - but he can get you blanks, whereas Bobby is creating chances and taking shots from inside the box. So again I kind of sway toward Firmino there.

TL;DR I like Cout but Firmino is probably better imo hehe

    Any advice?

    Grant
    Walker Holebas Williams
    Sanchez Sterling Firmino Antonio
    Aguero Lukaku Wilson

    Pickford Capoue Amat McAuley

    2FT, £0.4m in the bank

Had been meaning to get rid of Antonio for ages (have lost 0.2 on him already!), but tempted to give him one final FINAL chance in case he plays up front again. At the same time, I'm not convinced by any of his replacement options with my budget at the moment.

So at the moment I'm planning to use an FT this week to get Pieters in for either Williams or McAuley, which will give me a bit more funds for next week. Does this sound like a good use of the FT? Which defender is best to get rid of if I go with it?

    OPTA FACTS

Sunderland have won just one of their last 25 Premier League matches against Arsenal, a 1-0 win for Steve Bruce’s side in November 2009 (D9 L15).

David Moyes has lost 14 Premier League games against Arsène Wenger – the only manager he’s lost to as often is Sir Alex Ferguson.

Olivier Giroud has scored five times and assisted two goals in his last six Premier games against Sunderland in all competitions.

    Last minute thoughts lads?
    A) Play McAuley or
    B) Snodgrass to Sigurdsson (-4)
    C) Snodgrass to Allen (-4)

Allen and Siggy almost identical stats last 4 games. Allen has the fixtures for now but Siggy has the set pieces and fixtures get good soon.

I think Snoddy needs to go. If you have no Stoke cover, I'd be tempted to bring in Allen whilst he's cheap and "watch and wait" with Siggy. He's on my radar, too, but he's in the "false nine" currently under BB so I want to see if he can still deliver in that role for us FPL managers! Plus Allen does seem to not be having a Capoue-esque flash in the pan according to the stats and the scoutcast/Jonty...
