    Need some help please...

    Current team is:

    Heaton
    Williams Walker McAuley
    Walcott Sanchez Firmino Son Capoue
    Aguero Costa

    Foster Collins Diomande Amat

    1 FT, 0.2m ITB

What changes should I make for the upcoming GW...??

(I know my bench is terrible but it frees up cash elsewhere)

    Thanks

You need rid of Collins, Son and possibly Capoue in that order!

Pieters, Holebas, Gündogan, Allen potential targets??!

    Advice please guys,

I've been looking for a way to add some funds to be able to upgrade my defence, and I'm thinking now is Gundogan an option to replace Bolasie.
I know Bolasie isn't a popular choice on here, but no one can deny he has offered a steady points return this season for his price.

    Foster - Heaton
    Shaw - Stones - Holebas - Friend - Amat
    Sanchez - Firmino - Bolasie - Allen - Capoue
    Costa - Aguero - Lukaku

    2FT 0.0

I don't really want to lose any of my front three, or Sanchez.

I'm happy enough with Shaw and Stones for the next few games at least.

I'm thinking either Bolasie to Gundogan
Capoue to the cheapest, playing midfielder (SV of Capoue is 4.8m)
or Foster to Pickford/Grant (how long term are either of these keepers)

    Thanks guys.

Yep, Bolasie to Gundogan/Allen, Capoue to De Roon and Foster to Grant would all be good ways of freeing up funds

Is De Roon nailed on now for 'Boro?

Do you have any info on Grant being a long term option? I heard Butland had a set back?

        Heaton looks fixture proof!

I'm kidding, I know he won't play like he did against Utd every week, but he is usually good for at least 3 points.

I'm starting Heaton this week at home to Palace.

I personally don't think it is a good idea. Like you said, Bolasie has steadily brought in points. Everyone is getting blinded by a haul of goals from Gundogan, but do you really think he will keep that output up? Manchester City's main creative force still revolves around KDB, Sterling, Silva and Aguero plus they have plenty of options on the bench also...

      1. HamezMace
        • 11 Years
        9 years, 5 months ago

Thanks mate, yes I am reluctant to lose Bolasie, as I say I know he isn't too well liked around here, but this season he seems to have progressed to a genuine option.
Gundogan has been getting into good positions, but as you say points returns are going to dominated by Aguero, KDB, Sterling

    Team:

Tadic seems a shadow of his former self. Mata could also be a differential only 2.7% and Utd look dreadfull without him. Could have easily scored two last game.

Walcott was pictured in full Arsenal training on Monday. He did his own training session to start but joined the rest of the team at the end. Seems like him not travelling to Ludogorets was just a precaution to make sure he's fully ready for Sunday

I am out of my walcott misery last night

Yeah Im very tempted. But if hes going to start vs Spurs I dont think it's worth a hit this week. It could still easily work out though as he could easily blank vs Spurs even if he starts. I expect Hazard to get some points at home this week

Giroud back means Sanchez > Ozil has to be on the cards soon. Think Wenger may stick with Sanchez alone up front for the NLD though?

Sanchez is his frist choice striker. The only way Giroud starts up front in the league any time soon is if he plays 2 strikers and he's not going to do that, or if some wingers get injured

Sanchez on the wing has more space and less marking which could easily result in more goals. He feels isolated when he plays up top

Think he'll follow template of last week and use Giroud as impact sub
      Shouldn't hurt Sanchez too much
Ozil was very advanced yesterday though but they're not the best team

1ft, 0.3 in the bank. Anything worth doing?

    Heaton
    VVD, Williams, Evans
    Mane, Sterling, Walcott, Redmond
    Aguero, Ibra, Lukaku

    Pickford, Holebas, Fletcher, Amat

0.1 short, could get Morgan. But Williams has Swansea next week so might use 2 transfers in attack next week then lose him after that

Next week considering releasing profit from Capoue with Capoue > Fletcher (releases 0.4 for the inevitable Hazard transfer soon)

Guys, is Deeney > Austin for -4 worth it? Seems he could hurt me this GW.

    Team:

    Heaton
    Lovren Walker Pieters
    Sanchez Firmino Gundogan Coutinho(vc)
    Deeney Kun(c) Lukaku

    (Jaku, Capoue, Evans, Amat)

Not for me know. Not with Pools defence. Could concede a penalty at any time back there.

Decent move long term so could be worth it. Although your team looks in pretty good shape to just do it next week

Yeah I'm think long term it is the right move. Also, I have 2mil in the bank now so want to upgrade my defence next week. So I either take the hit now and catch the Austin vs. Hull game! Or take it next week, hmm

    Looking for replacement of Amat:

    A. Pieters (wha, BOU, wat, BUR) - double-up with Grant
    B. Francis (SUN, sto, ars, LIV)
    C. Mee (CRY, wba, MCI, sto)

    Thanks

I would do A because it won't be a double-up when Butland is back.

Play two of PVA/ Capoue/ Holebas? Or take a hit to bring in Gundogan for Snoddy and play one of the three?

I want KDB so bad. His price is out of reach though. He is literally fantasy gold, not sure there is a better fantasy player in the game. He does everything, loads of shots, chances created, assists, set pieces. Beast.

Too expensive imo, especially when you have Aguero. Other City attack offer better value. It's a choice between KDB or Aguero and Aguero wins

I think his price reflects how good an option he is though. He will score lots of points. I think he might even end up the top scoring mid

Yeah but the fact you'll never captain him is a big factor. Cheaper players like Firmino, Coutinho, Alli etc won't be too far away from him. You have a clear choice between 2 of these or KDB + 6/6.5 (Redmond maybe). For me I'd much rather have 2 from the 8.5 range

Yep, same here! Wildcarded my whole team around him a few weeks back and then he got injured 🙁

Sanchez, KDB, Kun are the best 3 players in the league and great FF assets

Same. Relatively happy with my team but feel he's got to come in now. For me it's either straight swap with Sanchez or lose Mane and Siggy for KDB and Allen. Both hurt but so does the idea of no KDB.

What to do with this lot? Had a great start so far (9k) but been skating on a virtual no bench for last few weeks. 1.3 ITB, 1 FT

    Was thinking Bellerin + Diamonde > Fuchs + Austin/Wilson/Musa as a diff?

    Grant, Pickford
    Bellerin, Walker, Holebas, Zuniga, Amat
    Sanchez, Sterling, Coutinho, Lallana, Allen,
    Aguero, Lukaku, Diamonde

2FT's and need to use one but stumped.....Happy with mids but perhaps lacking Sanch/KDB/Hazard spark? Tempted by Allen to Hazard.

    Current:
    Cout - Firm - Redmond - Walcott - Allen
    Deeney - Kun - Costa

I brought in Coutinho last week . If he out scores him again this week I am going to call it a success . If it looks like Walcott is going to hold his place long term I am going to bring him back in for Bournemouth . I am not sure where people came to the conclusion Walcott has a good record vs Spurs he has not started the last three London derbies and he has not scored a goal against them since 2012 . The last 7 or 8 London derbies have been 2-2 and 2-1s . I can't see that changing this weekend .
