Dugout Discussion – Chelsea vs Everton

The final act of a dramatic day is delivered from Stamford Bridge, as Antonio Conte’s Chelsea seek a fifth straight victory and clean sheet from their clash with Everton.

While Chelsea’s defence will be a focus for some Fantasy managers, this is very much a tale of two strikers, with the in-form Diego Costa and Romelu Lukaku colliding.

The Chelsea man is backed with the armband by 8% of FPL managers, while Lukaku claims 4%. The Belgian has returned in six of his last seven Gameweeks and will provide a stern test for Conte’s rejuvenated defence.

Eden Hazard is the other headline act on show – he’s bidding for his fourth successive goal, having attracted more than 148,000 owners heading into the Gameweek – he’s backed by 3% with the captaincy.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Which is the best route to Hazard?

    A) Lukaku/Theo > Defoe/Haz (-4)

    I am thinking a) as I have trouble brewing at the back with Smith suspended then horrid fixtures and Amat dropped. In addition Lukaku has Swans up next. Agree or disagree? Cheers.

      Cant believe I was close to dropping Sanchez with FT. Calmed down now. Going to look how the Gun looked on MOTD and then do the below for a -4 if he looked good (I was/am his biggest skeptic)

                Yeah. Think Gerrard in that season.

                Penalties, corners, and good assist potential from LB. I've chosen him over Lallana when I could afford both - but as it happens, the extra cash will come in very handy

          Currently thinking Sanchez > Hazard.

          Sanchez has a tough fixture this week following a trip to Chile over the international break, whereas Hazard will be rising in price before a game against Middlesbrough, narrowing the currently significant price advantage he has on Alexis.

          Looking beyond this week, one of Walcott, Ozil or Giroud are likely to prove themselves as quality (and better value) alternatives from that Arsenal side.

          I think that makes sense?

              Agreed but there's a huge difference in price. It's not a straight swap - it's Walcott + Alonso + Alderweired/A N other top bracket defender vs Sanchez and a budget defence for the foreseeable.

                  3-5-2 is the other option. Barrow a solid third striker given Swansea's upcoming run.

                  Would mean you're depending on the likes of Allen though, plus restructuring in the middle of an international break.

              Plus if you have Hazard in your team then you need that Sanchez captain option a little bit less.

          I'm thinking of sacrifising Kun and get Costa instead..they both probably carry similar returns , but the extra fund gained enables me to get Hazard and Alonso which are double upgrade on respective areas.
