Dugout Discussion – Chelsea vs Everton

The final act of a dramatic day is delivered from Stamford Bridge, as Antonio Conte’s Chelsea seek a fifth straight victory and clean sheet from their clash with Everton.

While Chelsea’s defence will be a focus for some Fantasy managers, this is very much a tale of two strikers, with the in-form Diego Costa and Romelu Lukaku colliding.

The Chelsea man is backed with the armband by 8% of FPL managers, while Lukaku claims 4%. The Belgian has returned in six of his last seven Gameweeks and will provide a stern test for Conte’s rejuvenated defence.

Eden Hazard is the other headline act on show – he’s bidding for his fourth successive goal, having attracted more than 148,000 owners heading into the Gameweek – he’s backed by 3% with the captaincy.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Will hold on Hazard transfer till tomorrow games get over..most of us need hit(s) to get him , rushing the transfer now and then any serious injury to the key players who are playing tomorrow will mess up the whole thing..because any of Sterling/Sanchez/Firmino/Lukaku that we are considering to sacrifise for could be of less priority if players playing tomorrow get injured..

        yes but at least let the gw to get over if we can't wait for the international games..it's just 0.1-0.2 difference anyway..say you decided to keep Sanchez/Coutinho and he gets wounded up seriously tomorrow..things are gonna be worse..

              He's 11.4 now, so you'll lose 0.2 to buy him back. A 0.3 Hazard rise will give you 0.1 profit.

              Even if he rises again it will only be to break even. You'd have to hope Samchez drops also... Seems a lot to ask for the sole purpose of chasing value.

    Just got back from Chelsea. Been watching since early 90's and i don't think I've seen a team playing as well as the way we are now.
    Mou 04/05 and Ancelotti double 09/10 were the previous best but none were as complete a team as the one playing now.

    Even so, i am still struggling to get any players in. Hazard is phenomenal, but expensive and other mids are scoring well, Costa is a machine (with no controversy or cards to deal with), but again is expensive, Alonso getting points at both ends, every player is working well in their position. If you could have just 1 Chelsea player who would it be? And who would you swap out for them? Sanchez? Lukaku? Walker?

        That's a big call. I'd feel unsafe with no Sanchez, but it would possibly allow for Hazard & Lukaku -> Costa. Fixtures still make me hesitant.

    After tomorrow's games I'm going to most likely drop Ibra for Austin/Benteke and then upgrade a mid to Hazard. If Redmond or Theo don't start it'll be whoever that is. Otherwise Sterling. Looks ok?
