After a 1-1 stalemate at the Emirates earlier this afternoon, we now focus our attentions on a trio of fixtures that get underway within the next hour.

There are a couple of kick-offs to keep us ticking over at 2.15pm.

Liverpool’s free-scoring attack are heavily fancied at home to Watford. Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane have both produced two sets of double-figures at Anfield already, whilst Roberto Firmino – with a goal or assist in three of the last four – has stepped up in consistency of late.

Walter Mazzarri’s men have chalked up three successive clean sheets prior to today’s visit to Merseyside, though Fantasy managers who chose to start the Hornets’ wing-back Jose Holebas may have to rely on his ability to serve up attacking returns this time around.

Southampton’s trip to Hull offers Charlie Austin to justify the steady stream of investment that’s led to a price rise in five successive Gameweeks.

Up against the league’s most porous defence, Austin will trigger further transfers in if he adds to a run of four goals in six. Club-record signing Sofiane Boufal, however, is named amongst the subs once again by Claude Puel.

Man United and Swansea don’t have their troubles to seek ahead of their 3pm head-to-head at the Liberty.

Worryingly for Jose Mourinho, his side have won just one of their last six road trips in all competitions – a 3-1 victory at Northampton Town in the EFL Cup back in September.

Nonetheless, Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s loyal band of owners will be hoping he can banish his goal drought and notched against a defence that has conceded at least twice in all but one of their five home matches in the top-flight.

For the Swans, the form of Gylfi Sigurdsson offers hope of clinching a vital three points.

The Icelandic international has scored or assisted in four of the last seven Gameweeks, producing points against Chelsea, Man City and Arsenal as well as an assist away to Stoke on Monday.

    If you had Firmino and no pressing issues, would you transfer him to Coutinho?

    My midfield is: Sanchez, Hazard, Firmino, Chadli, Allen

    I have nothing in the bank, so would have to do it tonight.

    Is that a complete waste of a transfer? My only concern is that Coutinho is still getting the most transfers in, so if I decide I want Coutinho in a couple of weeks, I won't be able to afford him (but could probably do the swap in reverse with no problem).

    Cheers

        Wow? You mean it's a crazy decision?

        I was watching the match. Coutinho looked so dangerous and was taking set-pieces. When Sturridge came on it was Coutinho that was the more advanced.

          I have both, but coutinho is the man for me, if you have nothigpressig like defence then I would say yes

      Firm and Cout will be sharing points all season. Stick with what you have and use the transfer elsewhere

      absolutely not - a transfer is more valuable then 0.1m or 0.2m - especially with long flights to south america and world cup qualifiers for many of your side...

        I completely agree, I'm not fussed about just the 0.1. It's more, if I swapped to Coutinho, he will rise more over the next couple of weeks. If he ended up being injured, I could go back to Firminho with no difficulty, but if Firminho got injured I'd be stuffed.

      Who for is the question. Kind of missed the boat with Costa, he's nearly 1m more than his original price.

    Do I take a 8 point hit for:
    Costa > Defoe
    Capoue > Hazard
    Bellarin > Holebas / Pieters / Smith

    Do we expect Lovren to be back next GW?

  14. seaside
    • 9 Years
    9 years, 5 months ago

    Foster Grant
    Williams Lovren Holebas A. Smith Amat
    Sanchez Coutinho Firmino Sterling Fletcher
    Aguero Lukaku Austin

    I have 1 FT and 0 ITB. Next GW Holebas and Smith are both suspended and Amat got dropped, so I only have two playing midfielders.

    (A)
    Sterling -> Allen
    Firmino -> Hazard
    Smith -> Alonso

    (B)
    Sanchez -> Hazard
    Sterling -> Walcott
    Smith -> Alonso

    What I don't like about option (A) is selling Firmino. Liverpool is on fire but it allows me to have both Sanchez and Hazard.
    Downside to (B) is obviously no Sanchez.
    Wha are your thoughts? Help would be much appreciated, also other transfer suggestions! Cheers.

      Think you answered your own question. Its a decision between Sanchez or Firmino. Tough choice. Thing with Firmino is that with Liverpool the points seem to be spread out between them. But they are more of an attacking threat than Arsenal at the moment - and Giroud could start soon and mean Sanchez will be out wide. Still could score highly but less likely?

      But if it was a choice between your Allen, Hazard, Alonso or Hazard, Walcott, Alonso, I would go for B so you have Arsenal cover.

    I need to somehow get Hazard in my team! Especially with no Chelsea cover. The way Liverpool playing could do with another but no place/money. Allen, Gundogan "bandwagon" transfer didn't pay off but long term long OK. But need Hazard. Maybe another CFC player like Pedro.

    Only player in squad, who would free some money is Sanchez and Lukaku. Lukaku playing Swansea next. Would seem daft to get rid of Sanchez with his form and Arsenal's run (after United). Hmmm. Thoughts?

    Squad currently:

    Heaton. (Jakupovic)
    Fuchs, Ward, Holebas (Amat, Evans).
    Allen, Sanchez, Gundogan, Firmino. (Chadli)
    Auston, Lukaka, Aguero.

    Currently have this attack.

    Haz Wally Cout KdB Allen
    Agüero Tekkers Wilson

    Should I keep KdB or Agüero for city cover? And should I drop Wally for Firmino?

    Stupid me. AOA wasted this week and now forced to take a hit to field 3 at the back.
    Smith+Sanch -> Alonso+Haz looks likeliest.

    I want to buy Hazard, then I must make an extra transfer and I don't know who to sell:
    A) Koscielny
    B) Austin
    C) s.o. else

    My current team:
    Grant Pickford
    Vertonghen Lovren Koscielny Fuchs Amat
    Antonio Allen Sanchez Capoue Firmino
    Lukaku Aguero Austin

    Hazard -> Antonio. Need 1.9mln. 😀
