Dugout Discussion – Spurs vs West Ham

A bitterly disappointing Saturday rumbles on with a tea-time encounter at White Hart Lane.

In Fantasy terms, the clash between Spurs and West Ham looks likely to offer little compensation – aside perhaps for a scouting mission on Harry Kane and a potential clean sheet for the 37.7% owners of Kyle Walker. Son Heung-min’s decline as an option continues as he is relegated to the Spurs bench.

West Ham turn up having enjoyed something of a revival and boasting the fading Fantasy asset that is Dimitri Payet. His talents will be monitored, although an evil run of fixtures for Slaven Bilic’s side is likely to temper any enthusiasm in the Frenchman and Michail Antonio; now owned by just 9.2% of FPL managers, he looks likely to start at right wing-back again this evening.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Every season, it just seems to come down to nailing your 4th mid and 3rd forward picks.
    I was so close to doing Wilson -> Defoe for -4 but chickened out because I was already on a -4.

      I always say forget about how many hits you have already taken and treat the next one on it's own merit, but when it comes down to it it's hard to do that. At the back of your mind you still see yourself as having spent loads of points.

        Haha probably right. I had a very similar team to jonty earlier in the season, although I recovered faster than him to about 500k after dropping to about 1.5m. Very disheartened to have dropped straight back down again.

        Yep, Kun has been my best player. 4 booking from the 7, Haz, Alonso, McAuley and Foster to go.

    Im one of the biggest Kun fans. But starting to realize KDB might be the better option after all . Thoughts ?

    KDB last 3 gw 3 assists = 5 bps

    Aguero 3 goals 1 assist = 4 bps

    KDB requires only an assist to outscore Aguero. Imagine if KDB scores. he'll surely outscore Aguero if the trend continues for 2m cheaper

      If I sold Kun it would be for Kane. If I sold Sanchez or Hazard it would be for KDB.

      I may well ditch Kun given his price tag.

      However, it won't be on the basis that KDB can keep up with him. As far as I'm concerned, excluding injury or frequent benchings, I'd expect Kun to outscore KDB. The issue for me is Kun this season has not been a reliable captain whatsoever. At 13 mill, that's just not compatible. When I see a player like him playing a side like Palace, who are crap, his captaincy shouldn't be in doubt at all. I'd expect involvement in at least 2 goals. But this season he's actually just as unpredictable as a lot of other, cheaper options.

    Is it correct that the threshold for NTI in to get a price rise is lower if the player has dropped below his original price?

        I'd say so to be sensible. As a fan of hit taking this doesn't excite me. Kane has Chelsea away so could very well blank. Anichebe has Liverpool away so probably will blank. De Roon is bench fodder. Siggy seems the only player of the 4 that could excel but we're talking about Swansea so he'll probably need a hattrick against Palace to repay the -12 hit which seems unlikely.

      To me only Fuchs and Stones are the weak links! I can't see a way that I can bring in Sanchez, De Bruyne, Kane or Lukaku.
