Gameweek 14 comes to its conclusion this Monday evening as Middlesbrough welcome Hull City to the Riverside Stadium.

‘Boro’s Alvaro Negredo is the most popular Fantasy Premier League player on show tonight – the Spaniard is owned by just less than 14% of managers after netting twice in last week’s 2-2 draw at Leicester.

Aitor Karanka’s side have mustered just one clean sheet in the previous ten yet will be optimistic of defensive returns, bearing in mind that Hull have scored just once in their last three road trips.

With the fixtures set to turn in their favour from Gameweek 17 onwards, the Teesside team offer us the chance for some early festive scouting in the 8pm kick-off.

Roberto Snodgrass is the Tigers’ likeliest source of returns.

The Scot has produced more than twice the number of FPL points than any team-mate, though has managed just one goal on his travels so far.

Having conceded 15 times in their last four road trips, it’s fair to say that Mike Phelan’s side face a tough task to chalk up defensive returns tonight.

      Took a -8 this week. Ended up with 112 pts and improved my rank by over 1M places. 29 pts better off than if I hadn't taken the hits.

      I really wanted to do Aguero, Couthino, Koscielny, Allen out Cedric, Costa, Sanchez, Fletcher in for -16 before this GW. People said it was madness so I backed out, but still really wanted to do it. If I had done those transfers I woud have earned around 20p more last GW even with a -16 hit. I was so mad I didn't do it.

      So stick with your guts, and remember its just -4p per player.

      Was all set to do a simple Holebas > Alonso transfer, until Sergio decided to have a rush of blood to the head. Sigh.

      So which of the following look better:

      A) Kun > Costa/Kane
      B) Kun + Holebas > Kane + Alonso (-4) (No Chelsea space for Costa, but £2.2m ITB)
      C) Kun + Diomande + Pedro > Kane + Costa + Diomande (-8) (£0.6m ITB to upgrade Holebas/Evans, but looks impossible to get a Chelsea defender anytime soon)
