Dugout Discussion – Liverpool vs West Ham United

The final match of Gameweek 15 sees Liverpool welcome West Ham United to Anfield in the 4.30pm kick-off.

Both Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are highly fancied against a Hammers defence that shipped five at home to Arsenal last weekend.

Mane has served up points in five of his six home outings, whilst Firmino will be looking to banish a three-match barren run and return to the form that has already seen him register 15 points in front of his own supporters on two occasions.

Divock Origi looks to score for the fourth successive match in all competitions to strengthen his claim as a mid-price festive frontman.

West Ham, meanwhile, have home encounters with Burnley and Hull followed by a trip to Swansea in the upcoming three Gameweeks.

We’ll be looking for signs of form from Dimitri Payet and the fit-again Michail Antonio, then, while big Andy Carroll is named amongst the subs against his former club, having emerged from the bench to net the Hammers’ consolation against Arsenal last time out.

    Now I can say: "Sanchez captain fail!"
    7 other players in my team outscored him 😡 I had a bad feeling about Stoke but I knew most of my mini league rivals will captain him and they did. Only one of them went with Hazard. Mane vc hurts a little bit and my third choice was Costa. I should really follow my gut more often.

      Captaincy is a bit about luck too mate. Don't beat yourself up. I had uncaptained Sanchez just a few hours before his 23 point haul.

      I was the same really wanted to go with Mane but I always struggle to take captain risks.

      Went with Sanchez as felt owning Mane was differential enough.

      Only 3 points lost but a lesson learned.

    Without coutinho and with origi, firminho is not being sharp now. With austin my 3rd striker, im thinking of:

    Firminho+ austin to origi+ozil/eriksen (but i have sanchez-Walcott-siggy)

      Great free kick, not sure he was quite threatening other than that, but he's a gifted player.... Still, with Ayew, antonio, and now Carroll back, they should be more dangerous. Two tasty home games coming up. Could be a good move to get Payet now.

        Been playing them for weeks. Reckon Smith then to go with Walker and Nyom? Fully expecting a Walker rest and so may end up rolling out Stones, Nyom and Smith. All at home is the only consolation.

        Gutted to see people getting 15-20 points with their Alonso Holebas defense whereas I'm just consistently picking up 1 pointers.
