With a break in our open to all Fantasy Premier League cup competition during the midweek fixtures, we spend some time this evening to see who has made it through to fifth round, which takes place during Gameweek 17 this coming weekend.

A reminder that, for this latest contest, there are more than £1,000 worth of prizes for UK based entrants courtesy of our partner FanDuel, as well as £350 in Amazon vouchers to the top three managers at the end of the competition.

In addition the highest scoring manager each round wins a £30 FanDuel credit, with community regular Moin earning this prize after his 65 point Gameweek 15 haul. He next faces msq22 in round five.

The next four highest scoring managers in round four win a £10 FanDuel credit. These will be handed out to Pinky Unites, who scored 63, DJDave1979, who scored 61 along with twobitgooner, and BC1, Bashvilla, Hagop, who all hit the 60 point mark.

The highest placed manager left in the competition is 216 ranked Bacuna Matata, who along with Pink Unites, won a £30 FanDuel voucher for the top highest score back in the third round.

The unfortunate manager to face this early frontrunner to win the competition is lowlifegimpe, who is ranked 337,555.

In a closely fought contest, our only remaining Fantasy Football Scout staff representative, TorresMagic, has made it through to round five, after squeezing past Zambhino10 by just a single point.

The moderator has another tough encounter in store when he takes on Smooth Rossi, who at 6,687 in the overall rankings is more than 7,000 places above him.

Other eye catching ties taking place in round five include Funkyav’s clash with Big Phil Soccer Team and Cobberlsnz taking on Bash Villa, who incidentally sent me packing back in the first round.

The fourth round results can be found via this link, while the full fifth round draw can be found here.

Good luck to those still involved and if you would like more information on the schedule and prizes click this link.

im really torn between kane and costa to cap.

kane has home. but hull has known to be able to put up a defensive front if they need to.
costa has form and has scored or assisted in running successive matches but is away to sunderland. sunderland's defense is a total crap.

im leaning to costa to captain.

    really confused.

I guess it depends on what you need rank wise, if you're happy with your rank, Costa is the safe play as he's been consistent and steady.

If you're trying to make up ground, Kane is the one as he's less owned and likely to give you the bigger boost.

Both are good options this week.

Am i crazy to look at this trade after these midweek fixtures for a -4

Firmino, Heaton and Snodgrass -> Sanchez, Grant and 5.9 mid

    Giving me a team of

    Grant / Pickford
    Alonso / McAuley / Cedric / Pieter / Friend
    Sanchez / Hazard / Sigurdsson / 5.9
    Kane / Costa / Defoe

This will mean keeping Firmino this week and deciding on a 5.9 mid.

    Yay or Nay

Same thing McQueen, gave him enough time and will bring Bellerin back in if the CS starts coming.

Swapped him for Aldierweirld for two weeks so I have the option to get on to Bellerin after the City game, wanted to protect the funds for it.

Yup, smart move. Hopefully Alder plays three times this week after the injury. I'll need to downgrade quite a bit to fund Costa in a few weeks, will need to make a few hits to hurry this move up, otherwise there will always be something else. I already have Walker and Alonso though so Walker could also make way if needed.

                Good luck!!!

Matip the one bright spot. A shame Sakho's attitude has let him down. He has the potential to be an absolute beast of a centre back.
I'd play Klavan over Lovren personally. Klopp knows best though I suppose.

A and bench Fletcher. It's an away game for Haz but miracles do happen. To much cash itb and not on the field.

It's very good. Watched it with my oldest a couple weeks ago. One of the better horror/thrillers I've seen recently

What do you guys think about upgrading Heaton to DeGea? Burnley have now 2 difficult away fixtures, than 2 good at home than again 3-4 difficult. United have 5 good, 1 difficult than 3-4 good again.

Keep Heston and look to get a Utd def instead.

My defenders are Cedric, Alderweireld, McAuley, Alonso and Amat so if I bring in a United defender I wil have to play 4-4-2 since the defenders are very good.

Toby to a Utd def in a couple of gw's looks good to me.

Bigger dilemma than it looks, who to start:

    1. Lovren (mid)
    2. McAuley (SWA) have Foster in net and Siggy in midfield

    Vote please

    Thanks

It's the wee hours of the morning and I'm wide awake worried about playing Siggy against McAuley. I'm not subbing Siggy and have Amat and Holebas OTB. Should I stick with McAuley or bring in Amat or Holebas? Other two starting defenders are Walker and Azpi.

Please help. I need to go to sleep.

    1FT, 2.3 ITB;

    Cech (Pickford)
    Stones, Cedric, Brunt (Holebas, Love)
    Firmino, Sanchez, Hazard, Sigurdsson, Allen
    Iheanacho, Kane, Deeney.

Not feeling too confident. Do some surgery or save FT's?
