Gameweek 17 delivers one last match for Fantasy managers as Everton entertain Liverpool in the first Merseyside derby of the season.

Adam Lallana arrives at Goodison as the most sought-after target in Fantasy Premier League last week – over 290,000 drafted him in on the back of a 19-point haul at Middlesbrough.

Divock Origi was the number one forward for transfers in ahead of Gameweek 17 – the Liverpool frontman has recovered from a knock and is looking to score for the fifth successive Gameweek.

In terms of FPL captains, Romelu Lukaku and Sadio Mane are the two most popular picks for tonight’s match.

The big Belgian has struggled for form, though, failing to earn points in five of his previous six league outings.

Although he’s flourished at Anfield, Mane has disappointed on the road, serving up six blanks in eight road trips.

Meanwhile, Roberto Firmino – the third most transferred out ahead of Gameweek 17 – will be looking to stop the fire sale and end a run of five straight blanks against a defence with just a single clean sheet in 12 attempts.

    Morning guys, OR taken a bit of a pounding lately but somehow holding it together in my mini leagues. Had 2 FT's for next GW, have done Costa to Ibra, tempted to save the other as team looks ok on paper I think. Thoughts?

              I'd happily buy him back if he moves central when Cout returns. Doubt he will though as Mane is out. Also fixtures aren't great so not keen on a double up. Either going Cout + Pogba or Lallana + Mkhitaryan

      After holding him for the derby, I have just learned that he can do anything without coutinho.
      Can't just keep holding him when others of same or less value are giving points.

        You're overthinking things.

        He had one cleared of the line, very unlucky with a one on one and could have had a one or two more with the break of the ball (mane tap in could just as easily have fell to him) or a different gk in goal. He set up a few chances too so unlucky not to assist also

          You call this overthinking? I am not questioning his ability, but here all we care about is fpl points which he has failed to give.

            Don't worry about the lay 5 gws think about the next 5 and someone who is getting as many chances as firmino won't be long turning it around. Think Ibra before he started scoring. I'd be worried if he was paying terrible and not getting chances but I'd bet his stats are up there with sanchez and probably better than all those options you listed above (for shots in the box and chances created) for the period you question.

              Not thinking about the past gw and thinking about the coming matches . I waited for 6 matches.
              I agree that he has created chances , his stats are good only thing missing is a goal or assist. But I just can't wait for one of his shot to go into the net while my rivals go up the ml.
              Yes he is trying.
              Yes he is up there along with Sanchez.
              But for me the patience is over .
              I will happily bring him back when coutinho returns, but for now he has to go.

                Yeah fair enough, nobody knows if he will blank the next 5 or score losses of points in the next 5 but if I was looking to transfer someone in I'd love if they had stats anywhere near firmino. Taking him out has all the looks of one of those transfers that bites you in the rear.

    I think the question for me is, do I bring in KDB or Sanchez, when I already have Walcott, or save the funds for Kun?

    My gut says KDB is going to be a better pick than Kun.

    And I'm thinking KDB over Sanchez purely as a differential due to a few frustrating weeks.

      Look I'm nowhere this season. Completely lost my mojo early on when I started without Ibra, then bought him, held on to long while Costa was the way to go. Also started with hazard...missed the Alexis hauls...bought Alexis...missed the Hazard hauls...

      All I know is that currently Alexis beats Hazard iro stats hands down. So does KdB. I think you need both if you leave Kun out.

      I've had KDB for a while. Gladly ditching after this week. He's a nice luxury option, but made a mistake in getting him over a fair few other options. Liverpool, Theo, Sanchez, Hazard are all stronger options

          KDB was actually quite poor v Arsenal imo. So many loose balls. But yeah, his quality shone through with 2 great balls, one which turned into an assist.

          I don't think KDB can beat Hazard due to pens and the price difference (0.9 for me)

      Yeah, it looks okay. But I mean when you could quite clearly fit in Hazard and Lallana if you turn Aguero to Defoe or something, I'm not sure why you'd go for this. How many more ppg does Aguero have than Defoe/Benteke? Really not worth the price imo

            Bahia wise no but as a captain option definitely yes if you had him for the big one. This is the value of a premium player amd if kun braces or his a hatty as a highly owned player you suffer unfortunately.

        Pool fan too, I'd be very surprised if sturridge starts n plays full game.

        Injury record will be eased back in I think, Origi 5 in 5 prior to yesterday, can't see him being shooed out until sturridge fully fit or coutinho back myself.

        I reckon sturridge from 60 mins v Stoke. Love to see him start firing could use his goals n finishing second half of season.

        'The Wildcard chip can be used twice a season, once in the first half of the season (before 30 Dec 19:00) and once in the second half of the season. The Wildcard chip is played when confirming transfers that cost points and can't be cancelled once played'

        So I assume it will be available from 1 January then
