Low on baubles but big on Christmas hats, the array of headgear in this festive ScoutCast is impressive, at least until you get to Jonty’s flimsy paper effort.

The final episode of 2016 is upon us and it’s a big one as Andy, Granville and the aforementioned Jonty join me to charge headfirst into the final three Gameweeks of the year.

We start by bowing to Andy’s wise man act as he reaps the reward of faith in Ibrahimovic: a gift that we hope will go on giving, as we all belatedly jump on board.

Then we batten down the hatches ahead of Christmas rotation, analyse the 2016 Dream Team and attempt to provide the Fantasy Football’s “secrets of success”. Like we’d know.

This episode of the ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link or the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below – hats and all.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Agree with the consensus of replies, if an owner I would keep and power through. Definitely passed the eye test last gameweek and after Siggy's good fixtures I'm looking to bring Firmino or Lallana in.

Anybody feeling sorry for Alan Pardew losing his job just before Christmas should know he deserves it
    What goes around comes around

Pardew took over Charlton Athletic on 24 December 2006 after Les Reed was sacked on the 23rd of December 2006

    Really enjoyed the latest scoutcast.

Granville makes a big difference to the show. He challenges Mark's team, Mark hits back and the ensuing debate reveals a kind of hidden layer of FPL thinking.

And Jonty's PPM data on Chelsea was a real eye opener. I really want to show Hazard the door now ... if only he didn't have those 2 plum home fixtures.

Andy also kinda convinced me to captain Sanchez at the end of the show.

Here's the link to that unbelievably useful chart they mentioned in the scoutcast that shows how much rest the teams are getting between the next 3 games:

    https://mobile.twitter.com/jair1970/status/810641471200264193/photo/1

I'm with Andy on the rest thing though. Think you just pick your team, ensure your bench is strong and hold your breath. Wouldn't be ditching Cedric with those fixtures personally. Remember you said to bench Chelsea defenders last week fplv? 😉

Ha. Palace didn't score in the end, did they? You were right 🙂

Shame about Carroll, though. It was a ballsy move and it deserved to pay off.

Based on members comparison tools I've come to the conclusion I'm captaining Hazard over Ibra. Bournemouth are leaky and have a new CB coming in this week to try deal with Hazard who is more than likely going to play as striker.

Conte: 'Michy is working very well. We must be patient with him. The next step for him is to play more this season.'

Really don't see Hazard playing as striker over Bats.

“Michy has brought good quality, is very young, and he must work and improve and adapt his football.”

“He’s a good player but in England, he’s having a lot of difficulty to understand the game. I can see another example (of such a player) in Simone Zaza.”

We will see. Conte made some comments saying Batts is having a tough time adapting to the prem and compared him to Zaza...low blow lol. I think willian or pedro will be subbed off and Batts will come in later on.

Does anyone think Conte likes a bit of misdirection in his press conferences? Maybe trying to throw the opposing manager?

No one saw the Hazard injury/rest, whatever you want to call it and he certainly never mentioned it in his presser.

Because he wasn't. Rags made it up by assuming extra physio means injury as they are idiots and need something to write about the big players.

      1. Worzel Gummidge

Not really. His home numbers speak for themselves. Extra point for G and extra for CS. I rate Sun defence better than Bou as well. I own both players

1 goal in the last 6 and blanked in the last two home games. Whilst I think he will do well, if I had Ibra I would captain him over hazard.

          1. Worzel Gummidge
            9 years, 7 months ago

Ibra didn't score for 8 games either. Played crap defences recently and blanked v Spurs. Can argue a case for both but Haz has extra points potential for being a mid (CS + G). Could go either way

I agree he's not producing at the moment. But I watch every game as a chelsea fan and he is up for it.. looks very good, Costa and him play together but Costa doesn't have that great of passing skills to get it back to him. Hazard will get returns this week, just how much is the question.

ICT threat is where the fun is for goal potential

ICT creativity will absolutely give you the best long term picks

Touches in the box will also give you the best picks.

Any player that appears high up on all three is an absolute must IMO. Any that appear high up on both threat and Creativity maybe equally so...

The trick with mids is to decide your stats for mids and stick with them for a high rank.

That'll be because you've been getting them after their pts.

The trick with the creativity picks is to get them early and keep them long term. All of those absolutely will end up with good pts at seasons end.

No. The premium option I've had for 10 weeks or so. The second one plays for a rubbish team and he will be gone from my team after this GW. The third one I had for his mega haul but since has failed drastically in easy fixtures. He will also be gone on a WC after this GW.

    Heaton (Pickford)
    Alonso, Holebas, Chambers (Amat, Evans)
    Sanchez, Hazard, Eriksen, Siggy, Capoue
    Ibra (c) Origi (Costa)
    0.0 ITB, 1FT.

Decided to bench Costa for a week, already used 1 of my free transfers on Kane > Ibra,

I'm sure this has been asked a lot, but I'm agonising whether to do Eriksen > Walcott with my other free transfer. I'm fully aware of the rotation risks, but those fixtures are just so tasty... Eriksen does have good stats to be fair. Hmm.

Why is it that Fpl are are quick to flag highly owned players like Costa but are slow to flag the not so highly owned players like Sterling who's ineligible to play vs his parent club this gw?

Because his parent club is Accrington Stanley

    What should I do?
    A) Sigurdsson to Walcott
    B) Boruc to Heaton

Won't be able to afford Walcott after tonight.

    Hazard v Ibra dilemma.

    - Will the team set him up to score now when Costa is back?
    - Bournemouths inabillity to park the bus away from home looks ideal for Haz. Naive defence.
    - Haz has played well but not great stats at all
    - Fitness concerns?

    Ibra:
    - Fixture not as great as it looks like possibly, like YMA shows. Sun will park da buzzz.
    - Better form. Finally converting his chances.
    - Ownership. Masses will captain him.

Fabregas playing is good for Haz too. Michu Batman - not sure how it will affect Haz.

      For GW18

      Hazard:
      - Ake will not play against Chelsea
      - Haz will get Costa's role as a striker. Might be a better target for key passes he usually is
      - Fabregas will probably be on the pitch

      Ibra:
      - Sunderland is a crap team

Sweet dreams are made of this.

I will be dreaming of: Haz wearing tight Xmas sweaters while tormenting Bournemouth defence. Slaloms his way through Agent Smith, nutmegs ordinary Cook before chipping the ball over Boruc. Second goal a gift from Boruc who miskicks the goal. Third goal a goalkick from Courtois, which Boruc times wrongly and Haz get an open goal. Haz puts his fourth goal behind the net after pulling Francis pants down and running circles around Daniels, before finishing with a screamer.

      Good night.

Ibrahimavic has to be captain this week. His powerhouse ownership will kill you if he gets a good score. When there are a number of good captain options play the numbers game. Safety in numbers as they say. Don't think there is any point mulling this one save the punts for another week.

Smith - Francis - Cook - Daniels. Besides defending very naively and awful, especially away from home, I think this is the backline consisting of the most casual and ordinary names. Totally anonomyous surnames.

If picked up in time, can be managed well.
Basically your vessels have plenty of tiny clots. That uses all the platelets up so you end up bleeding easier.

DIC itself. The treatment is around supporting the blood. But the cause of the DIC is important, as plenty of things can cause it

Thanks for all the replies ,advice to post about Firmino. Consensus is keep and when coutinho is back all will be fine.
Problem is I doubt I'll double up on pool but instead swap Firmino for coutinho so what's the point of keeping?
I could swap Eriksson/ or wally for coutinho instead. Last game Firmino looked good but he hasnt scored in long time...
