Gameweek 18 comes to its conclusion this Wednesday evening as Southampton welcome Tottenham Hotspur to St Mary’s.

Claude Puel’s men seek a fourth successive clean sheet in front of their own supporters, with ever-present Virgil van Dijk (13% ownership) the most popular Saints player by some distance in Fantasy Premier League.

After netting twice in the 3-1 win at Bournemouth, Jay Rodriguez retains his role up front and is afforded another chance to play his way into our plans ahead of some fine upcoming fixtures.

Back-to-back home blanks against Hull and Burnley persuaded many to part company with Harry Kane last time out – the Spurs frontman was second only to Diego Costa for transfers out in Gameweek 18. Nonetheless, a big performance could have a big effect in the FPL standings – Kane is the sixth most captained player for this round of fixtures.

His Tottenham team-mate Christian Eriksen also earned significant sales after failing to deliver points against the Clarets, yet both have the underlying numbers to punish those who chose to look elsewhere.

          Kun will score goals - but I can't see Kun smashing Costa and Ibra over the season to justify the price difference. If this was Man City last season then I would say Kun, but Pep loves KDB, Silva, Toure etc.

    Still in two minds whether to bin Kane for Costa.

        You have Alli/Eriksen or Hazard? I know coverage is not a thing but given I'm an Alli owner and no one from Chelsea, spreading around the attacking assets may not be terrible.

        I was a bit disappointed at 8 points in weeks 8-13- although to be fair I knew rotation and suspension was likely. My expectations were a few clean sheets and the odd assist.
