Gameweek 18 comes to its conclusion this Wednesday evening as Southampton welcome Tottenham Hotspur to St Mary’s.

Claude Puel’s men seek a fourth successive clean sheet in front of their own supporters, with ever-present Virgil van Dijk (13% ownership) the most popular Saints player by some distance in Fantasy Premier League.

After netting twice in the 3-1 win at Bournemouth, Jay Rodriguez retains his role up front and is afforded another chance to play his way into our plans ahead of some fine upcoming fixtures.

Back-to-back home blanks against Hull and Burnley persuaded many to part company with Harry Kane last time out – the Spurs frontman was second only to Diego Costa for transfers out in Gameweek 18. Nonetheless, a big performance could have a big effect in the FPL standings – Kane is the sixth most captained player for this round of fixtures.

His Tottenham team-mate Christian Eriksen also earned significant sales after failing to deliver points against the Clarets, yet both have the underlying numbers to punish those who chose to look elsewhere.

          No worries mate, Antonio's fixtures are OK but his main problem is the positional risk.

          I'd much prefer Phillips as well as Alonso, Brunt and other upgrades (including ITB) over what you've currently picked.

    Bottomed:

    Sanchez or Ibra captain this week? My plan all along was to captain Ibra vs. Sunderland and then switch to Sanchez for the foreseeable future, but I'm having second thoughts after the 15 pointer...

    On the other hand, Sanchez was extremely unlucky not to have a major haul himself.

    Thoughts?

          Azpi, Alonso and Luiz are probably better bets- can see Zouma and Terry eventually getting gametime.

          I personally don't like cheap 4th mids and would rather play 433 with Brunt instead. Phillips has to score or assist whereas Brunt gets assists and clean sheet points.

          You don't want to be playing Capoue or Allen every week really. Who is on your bench? For a 3rd forward I'd be looking at Llorente or Carroll as a bare minimum.

      Hazard+Costa seems like a big chunk of budget for Chelsea attack, with some tough fixtures coming up. Also, I'd pay a little more to get Azpi or Alonso over Cahill. And Diomande--to start?
