On the eve of Gameweek 19, we can reveal those who prevailed in the sixth round of our open-to-all Fantasy Premier League cup competition to earn a place in the last sixteen stage, which takes place over the next set of fixtures.

For this cup contest there are more than £1,000 worth of prizes for UK based entrants courtesy of our partner FanDuel, as well as £350 in Amazon vouchers to the top three managers at the end of the competition.

In addition, the highest scoring manager each round will collect a £30 FanDuel credit, with Big Phil Soccer Team winning that accolade for the second week in a row. He is also the competition’s highest placed manager, with an overall rank of 5838, and faces David Brains in round seven after seeing off TorresMagic 95 to 76.

Despite losing out, TorresMagic’s tally was enough to earn him a £10 FanDuel credit as one of the four next highest scorers in round six.

Among the closest ties in round seven is the clash between 9,047 placed Bashvilla and Real Sociopath, who has an overall rank of 11,415.

Another similarly ranked battle involves 8,265 placed DillyDingDillyDongFC against Back on the Horse, who sits in 21,192nd.

The competition’s second highest ranked manager and another recipient of a round six highest score prize of a £10 FanDuel credit, is 6426th placed Simonsimondock. He takes on Moin, who is just 9,000 places below him in the overall standings.

The competition’s lowest ranked manager at 1,006,807 is 808AllDay, who saw off 31,470 placed jurgenklopp.8 in round six and also earned a £10 FanDuel credit for his tally of 75. This giant killer has a slightly easier tie in the next round when he takes on 157,004 placed malvernangells.

Meanwhile, Lowlifegimpe, who also claimed a round six highest score £10 FanDuel credit, takes on Hazardousblue.

The final round seven clashes sees Dumbo Delap face Urchin, another recipient of a £10 FanDuel voucher for a high round six score.  Meanwhile, A Manager Has No Name squares up to Jacknap.

The sixth round results can be found via this link, while the full seventh round draw can be found here.

Good luck to those still involved and if you would like more information on the schedule and prizes click this link. Due to the busy festive fixtures, the competition will not take place in Gameweek 20, with the quarter-finals to be played out in Gameweek 21.

    (C) Kane this week against an incredibly depleted Watford side.

He was so poor last night. Barely touched the ball apart from the goal and the penalty.

Irrelevant IMO. With the injuries Watford have, this is an easier fixture than even Hull.

If he scored the pen (which he would have done if the pitch didn't play up) he would have came away with a brace and people would be talking a lot differently this gwk.

        Good captaincy option imo

If you watched the game he barely had a chance. He's the lone striker in an attacking team that has scored 9 goals in the last 3 games and he's only got one of them with a total of 6 shots in the box in his last 4 games.

The statistics are not in his favour.

It comes down to form vs. fixtures.

Success, Janmaat, Behrami and Britos (susp) are the newest of note.

“About the injured players aside from Valon Behrami and Daryl Janmaat, we will also have missing for the next game and probably some of the others as well Roberto Pereyra, Isaac Success, Miguel Britos is of course suspended, Adrian Mariappa, Ben Watson, Stefano Okaka and maybe Craig Cathcart.”

The Hornets will have to manage without Nordin Amrabat and Adlene Guedioura from after the Stoke game on Tuesday due to their involvement in the Africa Cup of Nations for Morocco and Algeria respectively.

Mazzarri also admits he is grateful the pair can play in the next two matches otherwise he would have struggled to fill his team."

        Sounds pretty depleted to me.

You think Big Sam hands Cabaye pens again? I have almost convinced myself to swap Siggy and Kane for him and Aguero. Would prefer to keep Eriksen.

    1. punkINdrublic
      • 9 Years

Probably, Bentekes penalty was terrible. Cabaye used to be good and score quite a bit, he was even preferential to Payet in the French midfield.
But fck knows what Pardew did to him, if I was Sam (which im glad im not), I would give him penalties because Benteke was crap, and it will give Cabaye some confidence back and re-ingite his form maybe. Who wants to rely on Beneteke all the time as the only goal scorer?

He should do as that's the second penalty he has missed this season. The other one was even worse - high wide and not so handsome.

How are we dealing with the Pickford scenario folks?

My other keeper is Foster and I have come up with the following scenarios:

    A) Due to WBA fixtures, just use Foster & keep hold of Pickford.

    B) Use Foster and sell Pickford, recouping a 0.1 profit and buying Jakupovic, giving me 0.4 ITB to play with for other transfers.

    C) Sell Pickford and rotate Foster + a 4.3 keeper? If so, suggestions as to which? Grant? Henessey?

    D) Other (would involve a hit probably)

I can do these moves with the 1 FT I have this week. Which would you guys do; A, B, C or D?

    1. Pinky Blinders
      • 9 Years

Doesn't look like too many folks are in a massive rush to move him, myself included. Now if Stoke actually hand Grant back to Derby, then I'll need to address my GK situation sooner rather than later. But I would be very embarrassed for both clubs if they can't get something sorted soon.

Cheers. If Pickford won't fall in price then I don't really mind holding on to him. If people here seem pretty calm about it, and are prioritising other transfers it is maybe not worth me wasting an FT on it right now.

I am in the situation, and have just stuck with Foster.

Need the transfers to slowly bring in Kun, and will look at fixing the Pickford situation down the line with a WC

Thanks for the input. Foster with those fixtures seems a relatively solid bet.
I'm going to wait a little on Kun, quite happy with what I have at the moment, so in the position to iron an issue or two out now.

If I sell pickford I'm buying mannone. Out to prove himself in a certain relegation team. easy fixtures supermann-one to save the day.

    Heaton (Forster)
    Alonso Ake VvD McAuley (Vertong)*

    0 FT .3 ITB

Have a tons of problem after Vertong susp & Wally inj
    Could i?
    Walcott > Alli -4
    Walcott + Vertong > Eriksen + PVA/Jones

None are essential but I would get Costa and eventually Halebas to Ake is good. Kane looks lost mostly.

    Hey all,

    Replacement for Lovren.

    1. Brunt (have McAuley)
    2. Jones (worried about rotation)
    3. Cedric (worried about rotation)
    4. Gibson
    5. Ake
    6. Other? Looking for under 6.0m, not Rose

    Cheers in advance!

I reckon 2. With Bailly at AFCON and the team forming well, I don' think Mourinho will rotate his defence too much?

I’m considering Jones in for Clyne. I guess an injury is a greater risk than rotation.
