Less than 48-hours after the end of the previous round of fixtures, the festive schedule serves up a Friday evening “treat” as Gameweek 19 gets underway at the KCOM Staidum.

Hull City’s home form could barely be more encouraging for Everton. The only side yet to chalk up a clean sheet in front of their own supporters, the Tigers also boast the joint-worst home scoring record, netting just nine times in as many matches.

Owned by 5% of Fantasy Premier League managers, Robert Snodgrass is clearly the man most likely to do the damage – the Scot has already served up three double-figure hauls at the KCOM.

Wins against Arsenal and Leicester in the last three have reignited Fantasy interest in Ronald Koeman’s men as the Toffees looks to take advantage of some fine winter fixtures.

With three goals in the last four Gameweeks, Romelu Lukaku has proven a more popular transfer target than Sergio Aguero this week, with over 50,000 FPL managers drafting in the big Belgian ahead of tonight’s deadline.

Koeman moves back to a four-man defence this evening after earning just a fourth clean sheet of the season at Leicester City with a three-man backline. Disappointingly, that sees the 4.0 priced Mason Holgate drop the bench and both Seamus Coleman and Leighton Baines reverting to traditional full-back roles.

Big day today, Siggy and Hazard necks are on the chopping block, they need points today.

It's good enough but I have Costa and don't want a double up for this run after Stoke.

That 10m buys a very strong alternative/opens up other big hitters.

Oh, Hazard has also had a lot of blanks since the Everton game, that is what's not good enough.

Siggy needs to go. Haz will score heavily throughout the season but I suppose the question is, can Costa outscore him?

Pick one from each (obviously todays games will have a huge impact on decisions but just want to get a rough feel) I'm currently on A1

What mid to lose to fund Kane to Aguero?

    A) Siggy
    B) Lallana
    C) Pogba

And who to bring in as the enabler?

    1) Phillips
    2) Cabaye
    3) Stanlisas
    4) Any other up to 5.7 for Siggy/Lallana or up to 6.7 for Pogba

    Cheers for any replies 🙂

Doesn't look like Kane is dropping yet though, so we may be lucky and get another evening to consider. If Ibra Costa or Aguero go mad I fully expect Kane to drop though..

Crazy mate. Once Aguero hauls v BUR he will triple rise over the FA Cup break. You'll be left with Sturridge, probably injured again and a few other flags to sort out too.

But then you'd miss the easy fixture and wasted 2 FT's on bringing in and then getting rid of Sturridge. Up to you though mate.

So what's happened to Chadli? Beginning of the season he was a beast, continuing his great strikerate from Spurs. After his injury he's been on the fringes of the first team, coming on as a sub and having his minutes limited. Reckon he's worth a punt or is it a wait and see scenario? Being in pens makes him very tempting for this great run of WBA fixtures.

We haven't really seen the heavy price of Christmas rotation yet this week, but I think we're all going to feel it next game week. Pool and City have very winnable games just 44 hours after their clash tonight.

Aside from that being madness, there is no way they will take in sim 11's. Firmino, Silva, Kevin, Lallana are just four players I fully expect to be benched on Monday. I know they can be rested for the cup, but two days in less than 48 hours is really tough.

Also, people racing to get aguero in. See how he does tonight. If he's run ragged in a close 90 minutes I wouldn't be surprised if nacho starts Monday either.

He's had a 4 game break though.. He's proven he can play 3 games a week without any problems. I'd be very, VERY suprised if he's rested for Burnley. Long break afterwards too..

Agree with this, people assume that because Aguero has not played for 4 games that his body is suddenly sturdy enough to play 2 games in 90 mins.

It's a different reason completely as to why he may not start both, they have the CL returning in a few weeks, will they risk him getting injured this week when they have a squad just because he's not played for 4 games?

Seems a bit unrealistic fantasy thinking to me, his ban don't mean he won't get injured.

Of course he's fit/sturdy enough. Kun problems have been when he's returned too quick from injury. He really should start both but it's pep so who knows

Fit and sturdy are two different things, he may be fit enough but he's never been sturdy.

2 games in 2 days with a manager that rotates for the fun of it, doesn't bode well.

He does but kun far and away best option up top and Man city need to win. He's started every league game when fit. Rather have him than not for that game. The rest is up to pep

Exactly this. It's about players with history of niggles recovering quickly. Aguero fits into that category along with the players outlined above. It's a risk him playing 180 minutes in 48 hours and I don't expect him to.

I largely agree. It's a huge moment. I'll be watching tonight. I assumed I couldn't get him as thought kane was going to drop again last night but didn't so he's in my price range again. Will entirely depend on how he looks tonight. A goal and a rest after 75 and I'll be all over him. There isn't an obvious captain next gameweek.

Why is it a risk for Aguero to play 180 mins in 48 hours but not the rest of the team? He can't rest the entire team and so there will be players who will play 180 mins in 48 hours.

OK, you're right, I'm wrong, Aguero has proven to be the most robust of players since joining City, rarely gets injured and you know you can run him ragged every week without fear.

2 games in a month is hardly running him ragged. He's started every prem game when fit, that's a fact. Everything else is just guesswork

Totally this. I doubt he'll play 180. I think we'll see 90 mins against Liv and then a 60 start or 30 cameo. No need to risk a second 90 minutes in 48 hours with Burnley at home.

There is no need for anyone to play all 180 minutes to be considered fit/sturdy. What if Firmino is subbed after 80 minutes both games, which is very likely. Is it because he too is not sturdy? It's just saving someone / giving someone else a shot if a game is in the bag. It is purely indicative of the state of the match and the importance of a player to the team, not the sturdiness of a player. Saying Aguero is not sturdy enough to start 2 matches (not play 180 minutes) in 2 days is ridiculous. The only worry should be Pep's philosophy towards rotation and nothing else. From every benching we've seen, his rotation has pretty much nothing to do with a player's actual sturdiness/fitness at a said time. It is because he thinks a player needs a break (for whatever reason) or because he wants to try out some system.

Doesn't matter if they're on the bench if he plays bench boost, which i think was his intention.

Don't get the obsession with Kun. Sure he was fantasy gold in seasons past. But this season he has shown a reckless streak. And Pep has benched a fully fit Kun for the Barca game before for "tactical" reasons. That to me is a gigantic, massive red flag. Who's to say he won't do it again in the future? Lewandowski at Bayern was prone to the odd rotation as well. For 12.8m he comes with too much uncertainty attached.

Long story short, if you're breaking your team trying to crowbar Kun in there, you need to seriously reevaluate that decision.

I was always in the "Kun is non-negotiable" camp... But Pep's tratment of him this year combi ed with his price & the form of viable replacements means i'm not so sure. I think both Costa & Ibra offer better value. He is a VERY tempting third striker to pair with those two, but have to decimate midfield to fit him in.

Are any Heaton/Pickford owners looking to replace Pickford or are you just hoping that Heaton's saves are in enough in some of the tougher away games? Hennessy and Valdez are intersting options but can't see a time when I would have a transfer to burn on a keeper.

    I just don't know what to do for gw20. 2ft & 0.0itb

    Foster (Randolph)
    Alonso, Jones, Cedric (Holebas, Amat)
Sanchez (C), Hazard, Eriksen, Phillips (Siggy)
    Ibra, Costa, Negredo

My gk's rotate nicely=HULL, CRYS, SUN, midd, STOKE
My 4 main defenders have good fixtures. Amat seems to be dropped.
Sanchez, Hazard & Eriksen locked. Phillips great fixtures. I'm benching Siggy this week cause Swansea are more crap away so I don't need to sell him.
Ibra, Costa are locked. Negredo has 3 reasonable home games in next 4 & Leicester defense at home this week.
Since I have 0itb I can't go Siggy to Lallana & no one else in my team deserves to be downgraded. Liverpool have Sunderland this week so I'd like to get Lallana. Any ideas. Thoughts & thanks.

It's a good question, sold Toby because of the doubts, Chelsea is a huge game, they have to play their strongest team, Watford are probably beatable with some squad management.

Was worried about Toby, his comeback has been hampered by injury/illness, 2 games in 48 hours is ambitious.

For those worryimg bout kun starting v Burnley, Man City don't have a game for 2 weeks after that (we all know how seriously most managers take fa cup). Given his non existent game time recently it makes no sense to rest him imo. Yes he's not the sturdiest footballer ever but he also needs match fitness and sharpness. Can't just wheel him out for the big games

Looking at this for a front 8:

Sanchez - KDB - Lallana - Phillips - (De Roon)
    Lukaku - Costa - Ibrahimovic

    Looks alright?

Class forward line, wish i could afford easily but will have to go with Bentekkers over Luka for third striker. Think KDB has been priced out of FPL this year unfort, he should really only be about 9.5m for what he delivers. Sterling, Theo, Firmino, Coutino, Alli, Erikesen, mkhitaryan etc all offer same points potential for way less budget.
