Dugout Discussion – Liverpool vs Swansea City

Gameweek 22 gets underway this Saturday lunchtime as Liverpool welcome basement-dwellers Swansea City to Anfield at 12.30pm.

Subject to more transfers in than any midfielder in FPL last week, Philippe Coutinho is handed a first league start since Gameweek 13.

The Brazilian has three double-figure hauls in his last five home starts and faces up to a defence that’s conceded at least three goals in seven of the previous nine Gameweeks.

Adam Lallana, with a goal or assist in six of his seven home starts, is another one to watch, though Coutinho’s return could also spark Roberto Firmino back into life. The latter bagged a goal and assist against the Swans earlier in the season and is set to return to the “false 9” role against Paul Clement’s strugglers.

      Don't understand why people were benching Jones today. United defence effective ownership is close to 50 %. Seems a bit of a waste having a United defender but not using him in fixtures against the bottom 12 teams.

        Just looking at my app, shows Coutinho front and centre, i'm assuming as false 9, is this a first for him?
        I thought it was generally Firmino up front, with Coutinho in behind, or Firmino on left and Oriigi/Sturridge up front and Coutinho in behind. I don't recall him playing as a false 9 before? or am I mistaken?
