Just like a London bus, you wait an age for one Gameweek to turn up and then another arrives three days later.

Or is that a Southern Rail service?

However tempting it might be to have a thoroughly good natter about the country’s transport infrastructure, there wouldn’t be time to detail Paddy’s latest Anytime Goalscorer and Clean Sheet odds, nor the Enchanced Offers for new customers opening an account today.

Before we look at the former, the latter demand our attention, particularly when you can get 10-1 on Chelsea beating Arsenal at the Bridge.

And if those odds aren’t sufficiently monster for you, how’s about Arsenal at 18-1 to beat Chelsea?

Back on only slightly less dramatic ground, you can get 8-1 on Manchester United winning away at Leicester, while Liverpool are 7-1 to win at Hull.

We thought United beating Hull City was a midweek home banker. We were wrong. But Spurs really should be too much for Middlesbrough at White Hart Lane. If you agree, you can get 6-1 on a Tottenham win.

Enhanced winnings are credited in free bets. Be sure to check the terms and conditions that apply on all those offers and, of course, we should state that all these specials are only available to those aged 18 or over. If you’re going to wager, please always gamble responsibly.

ANYTIME GOALSCORER ODDS – GAMEWEEK 24

Player Team Odds
Aguero MCI 1.53
Kane TOT 1.80
Jesus MCI 1.90
Lukaku EVE 2.00
Benteke CRY 2.10
Costa CHE 2.20
Ibrahimovic MUN 2.25
Mane LIV 2.29
Son TOT 2.37
Be Bruyne MCI 2.40
Sterling MCI 2.40
Firmino LIV 2.50
Origi LIV 2.50
Alli TOT 2.50
Long SOT 2.62
Rashford MUN 2.70

Harry Kane (1.80) and Romelu Lukaku (2.00) are the captaincy choices of most Fantasy managers this Gameweek, but Paddy’s digging in his heels and going for Sergio Aguero (1.53) as the most likely scorer of the weekend.

Has he got Pep’s ear? Not literally, like in a box or something, but does he know something we don’t, like Gabriel Jesus definitely going back to the bench? The Brazilian is 1.90 to score, by the way, so Paddy’s bet-hedging can’t disguise one near-certainty – City will surely score at home to Swansea.

Previous captaincy daddy Zlatan Ibrahimovic (2.25) has now blanked two weeks running in the league – a barren spell he’s not experienced since his six-match drought from Gameweek 5. A trip to Leicester City offers promise, though. The Foxes have kept just the four home clean sheets, and three of those came in the first seven matches of the season.

Another sure-fire skipper of old is Alexis Sanchez. He’s scored six times in his last five away matches, but doing it at Chelsea is about as hard as it gets, which is why Paddy is offering a generous 3.50 on the FPL’s biggest points scorer to keep doing his thing.

Liverpool and clean sheets go together like Abel Hernandez and penalties, but the Uruguayan striker is 3.60 to score against the Reds. Just don’t bank on it coming from the spot.

Do you hear that unholy mix of righteous fury and hollow, ironic laughter? That’s the sound of The Hawthorns when Saido Berahino scores for Stoke at West Brom. Tony Pulis told us all that Berahino is ‘not my problem anymore’. You can get 4.00 on the striker begging to differ.

CLEAN SHEET ODDS – GAMEWEEK 24

Team Odds
Tottenham 1.61
Man City 2.00
Man United 2.10
Crystal Palace 2.10
Liverpool 2.20
Watford 2.29
Everton 2.40
Southampton 2.40
West Brom 2.50
Chelsea 2.50

Spurs might have blown the chance to claw back a bit of ground on Chelsea when they could only draw at Sunderland in midweek, but at least they kept a clean sheet.

Fantasy interest in Tottenham defenders remains high as a result – Kyle Walker is the third most popular transfer pick of the Gameweek – and it’s no surprise to see Spurs (1.61) with the lowest price for the visit of Middlesbrough.

Man City being next up at 2.00 is a surprise – they’ve managed just two shut-outs at home all season. Paddy clearly has little time for Swansea’s chances at the Etihad on Sunday, but the Swans put three past Liverpool at Anfield and have five in all from their last two away days.

Everton, with two straight home clean sheets and three from their last four in the league, look well-priced at 2.40 to continue the good work when Bournemouth come to Goodison Park. Fantasy managers agree – Seamus Coleman is second only to Gabriel Jesus for transfers-in this Gameweek, with Leighton Baines and Ashley Williams also in the top 30.

Liverpool have only blanked twice on the road all season, and the last time it happened was in Gameweek 12. That goes a long way to explaining the 6.50 you can get on a Hull clean sheet at the KCOM Stadium. As does the zero – count them, zero – home shut-outs they’ve managed this season.

But things are changing under Marco Silva, and they kept United out at Old Trafford on Wednesday…

Why are so many capping Lukaku all of a sudden? Has he looked threatening in the last two? I'm going for Ibra because of Leicester aren't interested anymore...

Lukaku gets points so he is a contender. As is Kane, Aguero, Costa and Ibra.

With Leicester there is a gamble as to which Leicester turns up. Will it be the one that drew with Arsenal and beat Man City?

I'm going with Ibra, because although Everton are at home, Lukaku hasn't been doing too well.

He's hyped up again, this time because of the blank. Same every season, he's hyped-sold-hyped-sold etc.

Only because FFS is knee-jerk central.

Lukaku is a reliable 20-goal a season striker. Not many of those about.

        1. Darklord_bg

          9 years, 6 months ago

He's yet to score 20 goals in one season.

More like 15 goals/season, but I agree he is consistent.

Incorrect. He scored 20 in 2014/15 and 25 in 2015/16. He is again on track for 20+ this season.

The two seasons before he scored 16 & 17 when on loan as a younger player.

My description is therefore accurate, both in sense and in substance.

Incorrect again. To ignore a player's performances outside the PL is a form of tunnel vision.

He's pretty consistent over a season, but like most strikers he will have runs of form and blanks. Like other strikers if you've brought him in when he's having a lean spell then that will impact your view on the player.

Because sanchez and costa are in the same game.
      Spurs vs tight Boro.
      Not many own aguero.
Ibra has been blank for the last 2 gw.
So, Lukaku is less risky choice i think.

Boro haven't been that tight lately. If I had Kane he would be my first choice.

Between Kaku and Ibra it's pretty much a coin toss.

I own Alli, Erikson and Ibra. Spurs not convincing me. Thus i go for Ibra. You think there will be goal galore in spurs vs boro?

I also own alli and eriksen but I think Kane is their most dangerous player now. I could see him scoring 2-3 tonight.

At the moment I think Conte's Chelsea are better than Mourinho's Chelsea. Mainly because the 3 at the back are more defensively solid, but Pedro, Willian and Hazard have a lot of individual flair and creativity allowing the midfield to defend.

I think Arsenal should play a 4-3-3 / 4-5-1 today to cope with the Chelsea midfield.

    Hennessey (Jaku)
Alonso Walker Funes Mori (Jones Amat)
    Sanchez Hazard Alli Eriksen Phillips
    Ibra Lukaku (Diomande)

    2FT £0m ITB

Obviousy trying to plan for the blanks and thinking Jones downgrade to someone, but who's the best option?

    Nyom?

Considering sanchez has a knack for scoring away. But go kane as better fixture

Is Davies a good option considering I have no Spurs defense? Other option is Funes Mori which will be a double up on Eve defense. Van Anholt would also be an option I guess

Funes Mori for me. Rose could be back in 3 weeks and transfers are vital at this time of year.

      PVA not a bad shout.

Lallama, Sanchez, Phillips, Eriksen (de Roon)
      Rondon, Ibrahimovic, Kane
