Dugout Discussion – Watford vs West Ham United

Gameweek 26 rolls on with an “unfashionable” evening encounter that pairs Watford with West Ham at Vicarage Road.

From a Fantasy perspective, this serves as a scouting mission of the Hammers assets ahead of potential investment for the Gameweek 28 blanks.

Slaven Bilic’s side are just one of eight teams that are currently guaranteed to play over that weekend and, as such, are elevated in our thinking ahead of this encounter.

Andy Carroll is again an absentee as he continues to struggle with a groin complaint, leaving Michail Antonio to lead the attack for the visitors. He’ll be under the microscope, along with Robert Snodgrass who tucks into the number 10 role against the Hornets.

For the home side, Fantasy interest is limited given their forthcoming blank, although promising fixtures to follow has us monitoring the continued form of Troy Deeney and M’Baye Niang.

    Marks exact words on the Brunt assist:
    "Yes, normally, if there are two touches from opposing players on a cross/pass, no assist is given."

    When asked if it those two touches hve to be by different players his response was:
    "Yeah, I believe so - so the touches will be assessed. It was pinball in there."

    So surely it's a Brunt assist?? Can't see how it isn't?

      He also said its normal for 'no assist' goals to be reviewed automatically. So maybe fuss over nothing.

        No I haven't. I have said that's when it will likely be reviewed - it will be decided in the final hour before the bonus points are added.

        I've no idea if it will be given.

        Lots of factors at play like the assessment of the significance of the touches on the intended path of the ball and the judgement as to whether two players were involved, I reckon. It was a very messy situation.

        And can't wait until after spurs game as I have Erick as well. I can do him instead of Alli to Siggy and still buy Aguero but prefer to keep him. Should he get injured and I have ditched Alli would be frustrating

    51 from 7. Almost burned by captaining Trollkaku again. Can't wait to sell him after only buying him this morning. Kane, Pieters, Eriksen, Mane to go. Kind of regret taking the armband from Kane now.

            I've learned in previous years that ignoring players playing twice in a double gameweek is a terrible idea. If you have City players already you might be ok but if not then I think at least 1 is a must

        could potentially triple up - Alli + Phillips + Lukaku > Sane + Sterling + Kun (-8), but not sure it's worth taking a -8/-12 hits again to have at least 8/9 players for GW28
