Dugout Discussion – Watford vs West Ham United

Gameweek 26 rolls on with an “unfashionable” evening encounter that pairs Watford with West Ham at Vicarage Road.

From a Fantasy perspective, this serves as a scouting mission of the Hammers assets ahead of potential investment for the Gameweek 28 blanks.

Slaven Bilic’s side are just one of eight teams that are currently guaranteed to play over that weekend and, as such, are elevated in our thinking ahead of this encounter.

Andy Carroll is again an absentee as he continues to struggle with a groin complaint, leaving Michail Antonio to lead the attack for the visitors. He’ll be under the microscope, along with Robert Snodgrass who tucks into the number 10 role against the Hornets.

For the home side, Fantasy interest is limited given their forthcoming blank, although promising fixtures to follow has us monitoring the continued form of Troy Deeney and M’Baye Niang.

    I think the Brunt assist will probably be given, but imo they've created a problematic situationt by starting to give assists like this one in the first place.

    The best way, in my opinion, to run a game like this would be to try and make it represent actual football as much as possible. You don't really say that somebody assists the scorer if he wins a penalty or a freekick, or if he puts in a random cross in the box that the keeper then spills. Those scenarios shouldn't result in an assist in FPL either.

    I'm also not really having the argument that the game wouldn't be as much fun if they as a result gave fewer points. I think it would cause less stress and anger because a correct decision could be taken quicker, and the game would be easier to follow for people with a basic knowledge of football but with no interest in studying the FPL rules.

        Given rotation, the ONLY one of interest is Aguero, and even he might have minutes cut given the game afterwards....

        I'd probably end up spending a similar amount of pts on the transfers just to get them in and out, so will have to do some simple maths and see if it's even worth it

      I saw on flashscore that WBA scored so I opened a stream which was prefectly delayed and just saw Brunt getting ready to take the corner. And thought that this will be a McAuley goal and something will happen that Brunt won't get the assist.
